Story wise, my guess is that Jin sent out the Mishima soldier and Nina to look for Ryu, someone who shares the same life as he does (Looses control to an evil inside). All things are going well, till Kazuya shows up, and beats the shit out of the Soldiers, so Jin sends NANCY to help out, while Nina is trying to get Ryu out of there, but shit gets real so she leaves. So...Ryu and Ken get their asses beat till they fill their ultra meters up not knowing that those moves dont' do shit on Tekken.

I don't know much about Tekken, as the plot is pretty wild for an outsider...but eyebeams, giant robots, and Death by Degrees aside...Kazuya and Nina fight to finish the fight, permanently, right? Because Ryu and Ken fight under a code of honor that prevents them from using moves that can/with the intent to kill.

Because Ryu and Ken are pulling serious Shonen Hero strategies here...getting the f*** beaten up out of them until they just get their Ultra meter charged up.
