As much as I would like to agree with you but that is not true. Real progress came during early 2000s and late 90s. Benazir and NAwaz Sharif's government were beyond the known measures of corrupt and incompetent.

@AhsanY2K dear you are right because in fact there was a time when nawaz sharif once banned rock music on PTV and for that purpose the Junoon fame Ali Azmat tried to met nawaz sharif but he was not allowed.

but this is also true that the pop style music was introduced in south asia by pakistan even before india.

it was state policy in time of benazir before 90s in 1989 to provide people with private made small entertainment and for that purpose pop bands and groups wer fostered by pvt directors
