You dont. This was the basic machine and for fabric softner you had to let the machine finish, then add your softner straight into the drum and set it off again.

programmer sounds different to my grans A3E02 - i had expected it to sound the same.
This is positive clicks, whilst my grans made groaning noises, followed by a big clunk as it moved on. will have to find what programmer type my grans had.
Oh to get all our machines together! imagine the nostalgia rush.
Those look just like re-branded Hoover Electrons from the mid-80's! I saw those in UK then, and have all the brochures I took home!

@JSneaker ... these were the grandparents of the electron range, but the family resemblance is certainly present for sure.

800rpm. a 20second burst for short spin and 4minutes worth for long.

came off the production line back in April 1977 - 32 odd years old.

That's nearly 3 years before i was born, it looks in very good condition for it's age.

you just dump it in with the clothes - straight into the drum. a very basic machine.

ha ha i will record the AS1 programmer as that groans like hell!.......i normally put spray lube in them to quiet them down LOL
