People that buy birds for looks are selfish and un-caring.
I saw some poor mistreated budgies in a pet store and i bought the scruffiest one because he needed my help most, he couldnt fly and wasnt very social so it was hard for me to help him. But eventually he warmed up to me, i loved that little guy. im so sad he had to pass on :(
hwWhat you don';t know is - that is his "bedroom" and he has it inside a much bigger cage - and he has another outside, too, for sunny days. as he can't fly, a hug3 thing is useless anyway and he dies not use the whole area he has - I can tell this not only from where I see him but where his droppings are.
As to not having,him, should I turn him out to die in the cold, be eaten by cats, and unable to feed himself when his beak overgorws? Look up psittacine beak and feather syndrome..
I see a beautiful and gorgeous bird and a very beautiful owner behind this bird.When in the tropics I too came across a cockatoo just like yours and cared for it for a while. God bless you for not needing to see perfect feathers in order to see the beauty of this bird. PBFD, a nightmare, eh? In my eyes, she is a beautiful, wonderful creature. May God take care of her, and also of you, for taking care of her now.
I feel sorry for this bird. Having no feathers. I wander how he is able to pluck feathers from his head?

thats not the right size or type cage for that size of bird That cage is dangerous you don't derserve to have bird This sickens me!!
