  • Where the goaltender does not make a difference in this case, he's still not fair game to be hit. The reason for the no call is the contact appears to have been initiated by Brodeur.

    As rule 69.4 states: If an attacking player initiates any contact with a goalkeeper, other than incidental contact, while the goalkeeper is outside his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.

    A goalkeeper is not “fair game” just because he is outside the goal crease.

  • @x30xSabresFan refs decision if hes to far out they will call it a goal, a great example is tim thomas
