  • i wish they came to my birthday party...

  • lol Tony at :55 telling Jeff "Good Job" awesome post too

  • Now replace Jeff with Jim Henry.

Now replace Joe with Mike Slamka.

    Now you're talking.

  • @stringX90 no, switch out joe for gary lewis and put tony on lead, then you got something.

  • 2nd soloist looks kind of like Chris Farley...

  • haha love at 1:25 Tim signaling to Tony to take the post. Tony's face is priceless.

  • As awesome as this foursome sounds, Tim W. and Joe Connely sound absolutely killer together, it'd be cool to hear them form a competitive quartet, though it won't happen any time soon with Old School sounding as good as they do.

  • what happened to the MaxQ group. The tenor and baritone are not here and this group dose not seem to have the interplay that made Max Q.

  • @65dirt the lead of max q is the baritone of this quartet...

  • @65dirt this isn't max q.... you should know that considering that it says Westminister fantasy quartet at the top. way to not read.

  • isnt the high tenor from vocal spectrum????

  • Great transfer around the 1:30 mark! You guys are hilarious!

  • They act so ridiculously and never lose tone, focus, or perfection.

    Band of gods.

  • Why does 'acting' gay solicit laughter? Hmmmm.

  • it is funny because most of them are so "straight" plus they can do it with a perfect mannerism.

  • the 9 chord at 1:30 is amazing.

  • until Tony and Jeff start releasing a bit too much emotion =P

  • isnt that Tim? o.o isnt he in another quartet?

  • isnt it? isnt he from/in Vocal Spectrum?

  • who is the lead??

  • @Stratocaster07

    hes joe connelly

he won gold three times, Interstate Rivals in 1987, Keepsake in 1992 and PLATINUM in 2000

  • it could just be me, but for like the first 3 seconds, i thought that jeff oxley was stephen fry

  • haha are they at a Denny's or something?

  • one HELL of an overtone at the end

  • what happens at 0:33 to make the video cut? did something get cut out?

  • the bass sang in acoustix..

    correct?

    calebB

  • Yup. He's won Gold with Rapscallions, Acoustix and Max Q. Not to mention all the Chorus Golds he has :)

  • Basically, Jeff Oxley is a total BAMF. If you've heard the Vocal Majority's recording of "The Circle of Life" on their "Something's Coming" album, he sings the solos in it. Amazing voice.

  • all the people in this quartet out shine eachother, so it doesn't quite work.

  • Is it just me or does it seem that Tony pushes a little during a post? I thought a post was supposed to just be there and not get louder and pushy at any point. Pushing is never good for the voice.

  • You're right, pushing isn't good for the voice.. however if you have a look at the Acoustix version of this, you'll see Jason do something interesting in this post.

  • good bad or indifferent he is still great... notice the 'bling' for lack of a better term... there is a reason for it hahah

  • He cracked at 1:49... but this is an afterglow, so their voices are all audibly thrashed-out, so I forgive him lol

  • FUnny!...Tony and jeff lock as lead and bass , but not as bass and bari!

  • FUnny!...You're completely wrong!

  • its not like they dont lock at all, but jeff's voice sounds much darker than tony's. tony locked well on bar w/ joe in keepsake and platinum because they have a natural brightness to their voices that is visibly apparent in their vowels as they sing. Tony and Jeff have a much better on Lead/Bass than Bari/Bass.

  • Spot-on!

  • Clearly Tony and Jeff have a better Lead/Bass than they do, Bari/Bass. But there's still a lock!

  • what happened during the jump in the video that caused everyone to laugh?

  • So much funny stuff in this video... love it!

  • I really enjoy the line up... I might prefer someone a little more older with experience as tenor though... just for an overall blend with the other old timers. but tim is great :D

  • And fantastic tenor and bass. lol.

  • @Lince7777777

    And lead and bari...lol

  • fantastic lead and bari!!

  • 0:56 derossa......"good joooob"

  • Fantastic line up! Brilliant combination of legendary singers. I hope they enter next year's competition. Sure winners. Fantastic tag. Thanks for uploading this great footage.
