I wonder...if you put them on one of these stages where they're right next to the fans, gave Lars his old white kit and wooden sticks, gave James and Kirk their old amps, and had James grow out his hair again...would they sound as good as this?

But i dont think metallica are that bad today, i seen them during their world magnetic tour and they still put on a great show

@MrMikehunt87 Oh, Metallica are still one of the best touring bands out there. James' new voice is amazing without the growl, now that he's gotten over the tunelessness of the St.Anger period, and his guitar playing is probably even better than it was back in the 80s. Altogether, extremely great band in the 2010s, more refined and comfortable onstage than they used to be.

@DefinitelyALion James is just missing his growling voice. That is what he needs! I bet the guy can still pull it off. It is just going to take time and practice, then again I think the only way he was able to sing this way was him hurting his vocal chords.

far out... james is singing nearly like he would be in the studio, bass sounds awesome, guitar sounds like it should be ( really heavy) , drums sound impressive,solo sounds insane, they all have that messy metal look.. what happened? i mean metallicas still good, but not this good. the crowd here is going nuts, you would never get a crowd like that for metallica today :/ i think i was born a generation too late.

This is great and you posted like the full show, witch to my knowledge wasnt saved on tape, sure seek&destroy for example has suffered some loss on video, but the audio is as good as on this and that´s what counts to me. \nn/
