  • Yet another fantastic piece my friend. So simple, but so effective.

  • Fantastic. Really impressed. If I walk into a home depot and ask an associate to help me. What would be the name of the rope I'm looking for specifically?

  • @bensrpgpile2 Its been ages but its soled in 50 foot sections. I'd ask for twined (sp) rope:D

  • wow, looks great Bill!!

  • Looks fantastic!!!!! Thanks for showing!

  • Looks great!!!

Have you thought of adding a layer of tissue paper glued down with white PVA glue before you paint. It may sound crazy but It'll look great. I do it with my wire trees.

I'll post a respose vid to show you how I do it :)

    Thanks for the ideas

  • cool your Exotic tree looks super nice a whole forest on a hard board base with some alien plants mixed in too would be cool thanks for the insperation bill im gonna have a go at this too

  • Dude. That tree looks awesome. The creepers really set it off. Good 1. Later

  • cool trees. they kinda look like mutated pine trees or something.

  • cool looking.

  • Awesome.

Cheap materials but a very good looking final product. Ingenious design!

What scale would you use this for? It looks kinda big for Warhammer 40.000 (for example) but perfect for Star Wars (lets make a Degoba table!!).

  • You really are amazing at this man. I can't believe how you take this random stuff and make terrain this awesome! I would have never thought of using rope for trees. Kudos man, your work is awesome.

  • Uh-la-la! That is one clever way of making trees, buddie! Have to remember this if I 'm ever going to make jungle terrain.

  • Great! I am planning to build a jungle board for my 40k Flesh Tearers and at the moment I'm looking around for some ideas in the tree department. Thanks!

  • Impressive, Most Impressive :).

  • Wow a stunning effect! Such a great tree. Like James Cameron would approach it, based on something we can understand, but with something a little alien thrown in. All the comments here have the same sort of surprise "OMG Bill thought we'd seen it all" vibe which is fantastic! You just keep making us smile in surprise :D

  • Wow Your amazing Bill. Brilliant ideas!

  • Great looking tree!

  • Wow, great tip!

  • sweet!

  • super cool.

  • Wow Bill, you have the most amazing mind to never see something as it is, and always perceive the potential it has to be something else. You are a diamond. Lots of love and hugs

  • I'm definitely a fan. :)

  • Terrainaholic i love you too.

  • ok you totally pulled that tree from my head! Gimme my idea back LOL

Turned out fantastic. Glad to know I was aiming for the right thing.

  • Very good looking in the end, only thing I'd try to do different is get some bigger leaves for the top, as the trunk is a bit thick. Getting bigger leaves isn't a problem though, and the technique for the trunk in and of itself is really effective.

  • very cool

  • That's FREAKIN AWESOME!!! You need to get those based and put it up for the tree stand challenge! :D

  • BRILLIANT! :) Take it easy.

  • great info Bill!!

    Thanks

  • Turned out very very cool

  • I thought that I would have gotten used to it, but man, your creativity still strikes me! to see you take something we all see just for what it is and then make something completely different and awesome with it. Man you rock!

  • when you have a whole jungle of those, it's gonna look so cool! :)

  • Those look really good. They look much easier to play around than normal trees too since they are so thin.

  • Wow Bill! That came out great!

  • looks better than i had expected!

  • Awesome stuff!

  • You have a skill for putting together things and ending up with something that looks far better than expected. The tree might be a little too tall for me, might have to shave off a couple of inches, but the end result is excellent. Lovely colour blending, and I like those crazy vines you found - makes the tree look the part for an alien jungle. I bet a whole jungle collection looks very impressive.

  • That is FABULOUS!!!!
