My older brother had tickets to this concert. He knew i loved Hendrix. My parents did not let me go because they thought i was to young. I was so pissed. I had complete hatred for them at the time. I did not talk to them for a week.
Little did they know i was getting high behind their backs. lol Red House i'm just listening to now. Wow! Now i'm getting pissed!

WARNING: Due To The Extreme Audio Destruction On Your Brain Caused By Jimi's Wild-Style Guitar Playing You May Wish To Turn Away And Return To Your Mindless Boring Whack Crap You Call Music. For Those Prepared In The Extremes - BLAST THIS SHIT!
Imagine if this motherfucker lived for another decade. Let's say he died in 1980 instead of 1970. I can't even imagine what his music would be like in the 70's when rock n' roll really took off! If he had the technology that Steve Vai has, along with another ten years of experience [practice]. We would have an official GOD of Rock N Roll. Jimi was only 27 years old when he passed away. Yeah, TWENTY-SEVEN! That is sooo young. The guy wasn't even in his creative PRIME which I believe is your 30's.
OK kids, I was at this show, still have the stub, 6 bucks! THANK U FOR POSTING THIS VID!. Tell u what I can remember, I was 17 and probably smoking, not tobacco. Opening acts were Cat Mother & the All Night Newsboys and the Buddy Miles Express. The show was on a revolving stage. We were lucky, it stalled with him mostly facing us. Hendrix wasn't happy, said he would walk off if flash bulbs didn't stop. After the last song (blues) he threw down his Strat and took off. Glad I was there.
@splayjanx THAT'S ACTUALLY POSTED ON YOUTUBE!! I heard it and it's...you have to hear it!! I think if you put it Jimi Hendrix SCM, etc you can find it but it's out there. Good luck.
Last tour of JHE. Bill Cox was waiting in the wings to assume role of bass, which he did when Redding departed. You can see the new JMH, the transition obvious in his more refined and modern aesthetic presentation. Despite his legal problems due to Toronto bust (not guilty), JMH is physically strong, clean, focused, and ready to embark on a 16 month run of creativity and substantial cultural productions. His luster never fades and he will always be relevant. Genius and pathos always will be.
On one of the booked Madison Square Gardens nights in '69, Jimi played one or two songs then stopped, claiming he could not go on. Apparently he had been "dosed" and started tripping badly. I wonder if there is any footage of that night...?
@MayThisBeLurve he has the audio ,and put it over the SILENT film ,so he has some audio ,why he just shuld have a short audio from red house?? i dont really get this,.. someone has to have the full audio of red house...:P
@MayThisBeLurve what? how could he overdub the audio from red house if he dont have the red house version full on his pc?? the film is a silent film ,so he had some audio that he put over the video... he MUST HAVE some red house version from that night... it fits perfect watch his hans and then listen to the audio ,its clearly the red house version from that night! so someone has a audi from that show... sry for my bad english :D
What happens when someone has footage like this? Why are only segments uploaded and not the full concert? Is it because of legal stuff..or is it because only segments were filmed?
that mean having a bad trip doesnt mean you're going to not play well, it means that your negativity is dominating your mind, and then the effects ARE HORRID. people start seeing shit they dont want to. drugs are all mind over matter.
jimi was on a casual trip in this performance not a bad one
@RastafariPoet Thank you very much. I thought he played only one show at the MSG at all. So i didn´t know there were 2 performances of 2 different years from jimi at the MSG. ;-)
Jimi was amazing--words don't do his playing justice. His sound was so harmoniclly complex and yet earthy--like it was coming directly from his soul--and that's what makes his playing so different from most other players I listen to.
I want MMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEE this is fantastic, what a great sound. Too bad about the quality. Janie Hendrix get off your high horse and release this and not just rereleases and empty promises. Royal Albert hall anyone?
first of all its red house and not bleeding heart! and now am i the only one who wonders why this is so badly cut ?? i mean there must be a HOLE film from this concert or at least an audio! WHERE IS IT !?!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????!! if someone has it pls tell me !
Awesome footage! Thanks for this post. But man oh man--camera operators in the 60's are SO shaky & A.D.D.! Heavy cameras I know, but jeez!! Stay on one thing would ya?!! :)
I called the number on the screen and a guy sounding an awful lot like Jimi answered. Thanks for posting!!!

The chord at 3:22 would be a D9 (although Hendrix tuned a half=step low).
