never dill your rims it allows sand to enter through the hole and it puffs the tires up . i dill the tire it self 4 holes around the center this lets air out and the sand cant really enter as its rotating if it dose it finds its way out
Really a bad idea to drill out the rims, much better off to spend $3 on 4 traxxas hubs part #1654 and replace the HPI hubs with the Traxxas hubs... Fits perfect and you will not screw up your balance buy drilling the hole off center etc.
Hey, thanks for uploading the video :). I noticed you have a guard under your motor any chance you could tell me where you got it from?, my firestorm is forever being crashed and the original motor guard on mine is a wreck :). Thanks
@69benzboy69 That's a T-Bone Racing rear bumper (notice that he also has the front bumper). They sell these on ebay either as a kit with both bumpers or just the rear one with a pair of small wheels so it also works as a wheelie bar. Just search on ebay and you will find them! :)
I actually just put my alsh wheels on to see if it will fit. They bolted right up no problem. Just use a traxxas hub. So your beadlock problem is solved. Try it out and get back to me.
lol same "problem" when I ran my e firestorm for a few times, then I bought preglued proline wheel tyre for traxxas and noticed that the hex doesnt fit, you can glue proline standard tyres for trucks on your hpi wheels instead
I need to get some new rears for mine. I need more traction for running one loose dirt. I think I might need something a little more agressive on mine. I will have to look around. Great vid once again, bro!
@Leprechaun79 Just about any wheel/tire combo that will work for the Rustler will work using this method. I don't have a lot of loose dirt to run in around here so I chose the dirthawgs which seem to do good on asphault, grass and hard dirt.
@stampedevxl no I'm not sponsored, LOL!, I just did this vid b/c I found these wheels at the hobbystore and realy liked them, I have not found much in the way of aftermarket wheels or tires for the e-firestorm.

does it more bigger ?

@hondatmx The wheel diameter is larger, the overall package is slightly larger but not enough that it drastically affects performance.
