That gun just kills the look of vehicle mode for me. It just looks outta place in my opinion. I would've prefered something like two small guns on the sides, and that they had some silver on it instead of full black. The gun's awesome for robot mode though.

I picked this guy up from your table at AA. he is certainly worth the money. i find both his modes absolutely beautiful. The problem is the transformation. I don't know why they felt the need to make it so difficult. I doubt very much that a young child would take much enjoyment from trying to complete the process.

got mine, as well as bumblebee from you, delivered in good timepackaged well and the only deformety looks like it was has bros fault ( a little nick in the back that looks like someones hammered a small screwdriver into it a bit) i persnaoly recomend this figure and kapowtoys.

I've had similar problems with Hasbro's QC, my Animated Magnus had a scratch across the face and a chunk out of one shoulder. Seems very silly that they don't pick up on more of it.

and look towards the wheel on his right. you can plug the little peg on his gun into that hole to give him a badass shoulder blaster.

There is a secret that Hasbro doesn't want us to know. If you take this Prime's vehicle mode and paint it black... POW! You've got the Batmobile. Just think about it. This vehicle mode really does have a creepy resemblance to a bat mobile doesn't it?

Anyone else think the thigh joints are overly..... well, limp? I just got a second one of these (having taken the first back), and he seems no better. I also am not sure how to alleviate this problem.

The knee or the swivel? Best bet is, if you can pull the joints apart without too much trouble, coat one bit with the thinnest amount of nail polish or superglue, let it dry then snap it back together. That firms up ball joints a treat.

It's the ball joints where the legs connect to the waist.... your Optimus' joints (in said spots) seemed a lot tighter. The legs of mine flop around unless you move the toy VERY slowly, and it makes him a bit of a pain to stand up. I've used the superglue trick before, but I'm afraid it might discolor what it touches.

If you like the details (so do I BTW) fliphis knees around in truck mode! Hasbro painted taillights on him, but didn't put the step in the instructions. (You have them flipped up incorrectly in robot mode.)

I know, I've corrected it in the update vid but thanks for commenting. This guy came to me OOP without instructions so it's always a lottery! I actually prefer him with the knees up, looks more closely linked to his Classic iteration.

lol...I now call this Optimus toy "Usagi Prime" (aka Rabbit Prime in english...usagi is japanese for rabbit)...haha...he really do have long ears...

oh yea, the manual failed to explain this (took me almost a day to figure this out..) :

the kneecap shld be folded down while in robot mode, but in vehicle mode, his kneecap shld be folded up ...the 4 "bright pink" parts are supposed to be vehicle's back lights...(as seen on game trailers)

Yeah it's not the best laid out. I've got him with his kneecaps up, reminds me more of the Classics Prime and helps break up the blockiness of his legs.

So Ive got my WFC Prime with his rifle mounted over his right shoulder, and two guns from Cybertron Scattershot mounted on the holes in his arms.

Hell, if one of were of such a mind, one could go nuts and put two weapons in his hands as well for maximum badassery. Ain't nothing like a little overkill. This figure is epic fun.

Also, if you have any version of the axe from the Energon series, you can fold either fist into Primes arm, stick the handle into the regular fist hole, and make the axe an extension of it like in the original "More Than Meets the Eye" animated miniseries.

Right now he has the rifle in blaster mode on his arm, with the Cybertron Scattorshot guns on his shoulders and the axe as a part of his arm

If theres only one fault it's the hot pink details. WOuld be better as yellow or white.

Well I finally got mine today. It is as nice as you say.

Here's a display option you might not be aware of. The figure will hold ANY standard 5mm post weapon. in his hands and on his arms. BUT I also discovered that each of the wheels on his back also have 5mm compatible holes. With the wheels back, you can mount his rifle in the hole and position it over either shoulder for a shoulder mounted gun look. Or get any two identical weapons and mount them in both holes for dual shoulder guns.

alot of kids already play M rated games (kids 11+) and kids will get anything that looks with transformers stamped right in front of it so kids will be playing the game and another thing ROTF leader class optimus prime is even more detaield and complexed then this but it was aimed for kids as was the whole line. just felt like pointing that out i hope i dont sound like an asshole saying this D:

There's always the chance he won't, granted. But it would be suprising if they DIDN'T give it a redeco. Hasbro tends to want to get the most out of their new mold investments

i dont agree with you on the back kibble, the wheels where made to be like this on purpose because of the game. people would be complaining about it if the wheels WHERE in the shoulders because it wouldn't be game accurate.
