@MobiusCoin That made me do some research, and you're right. But I see by his list of opponents that he's been nursed along through bouts with no-names and stars in decline. The 2 times he tried to step up, he lost. Also there's the argument that he's well-rounded, when the results show that he relies mostly on striking. So he's pretty much the typical Jap, a distance-going striker who can't handle quality opposition. And as I can't remember a single fight of his, he must be pretty forgettable.

@yamaguchienforcer More typically, Japanese fighters have tended to do nothing in the Octagon but stand there and take it in the teeth. I'm sure they're hearing it from Dana too. NO one is happy about the GENERALLY lackluster performances of Jap fighters in the Octagon. They're suddenly a DRAG on this sport, which owes so much to them! How to wake 'em up again?
And if Gomi beats Guida, I'll eat sushi in your honor for a week.

@MobiusCoin That made me do some research, and you're right. But I see by his list of opponents that he's been nursed along through bouts with no-names and stars in decline. The 2 times he tried to step up, he lost. Also there's the argument that he's well-rounded, when the results show that he relies mostly on striking. So he's pretty much the typical Jap, a distance-going striker who can't handle quality opposition. And as I can't remember a single fight of his, he must be pretty forgettable.

I really think the main event will be alot more exciting than you're making it out to be, nates last 4 wins have been by KO or tko, & his knockouts have been crazy because he tries all sorts of things to win this fight, yushin doesnt so the 1st rnd might be boring but i think marquardt will finish okami even if he's loosing most of the fight i think he'll find a way to finish him
