  • should have used some sub sonic ammo

  • When did they become legal? As i understood they weren't 12 years ago. According to our county sherriff.

  • What?

  • mouth shut and pick up a controller and keep playing "cod."

  • @nowwer O really, thats all that your brain could come up with? The gun industry felt the term "SILENCER" was inappropriate because it doesn't "SILENCE" anything. The NRA came to the conclusion that "SUPRESSOR" would be more approprate because it "SUPRESSES" the sound by slowing the velocity of the bullet. I think it is YOU whom needs to stop playing "cod," making stuff up and ignorantly posting comments and deeming your wrong information, correct on youtube. So next time just keep your ignorant

  • @paonek1 The holes in the center of the discs get progressively smaller down to the barrel diameter at the exit. The last 2 chambers will have rock wool, fiber glass or similar soft media to absorb the residual sound of the bullet exiting. The whole thing is wraped with dense foam for further sound suppression. It works by temporaliy trapping the gasses in the chambers from the powder exploding, forcing them to dissipate slowly through each end and be absorbed into the cushions near the exit.

  • @paonek1 They are cylindrical like what you have seen, inside there are several discs that are threaded into it and spaced apart to create chambers.

    More;

  • @paonek1 You're so funny. It is illegal to possess a firearm silencer in most civilized countries, including the U.S. Suppressers are available, marketed as flash arrestors that somewhat conceal the flash and muffle the sound wave. Militaries have genuine silencers that do exactly that. You can hear the firing pin hit the primer on a 7.62 with a sound similar to an air leak as the bullet exits. .

    More;

  • @superlate97 Wow...you reply to a comment I said, then before I read it I see this one. Your a fucking retard dude. They are 100% legal. I own one. Feel free to watch my videos. Maybe you'll see a real suppressor.

  • @superlate97 Mind you there is a process to get one, but they are legal. All you have to do your paper work, pay your tax, and play the waiting game.

  • i love people who thinks guns are completely silent when supressed. Specially a sniper.

  • silencer and supressor are literally the same exact thing...to call someone an idiot because they called it a silencer just proves that you are ignorant yourself. the nra often refers to it as a "firearm silencer"..its a marketing term coined by hiram maxim.

  • @paonek1 its not literaly the same a silencer is to silence the gun a supressor is to reduce muzzle flash witch while it does that jus happens to lower the sounds but no where near to the point of a silencer smh get a fuckin life you cod player

  • what the fuck are you idiots doing calling a suppressor a silencer? don't comment if you don't know what you're talking about.

  • @HydeMyJekyll your the one who doesn't know what he's on about, the inventer called it a silencer the nfa designates it as a silencer, sure the name isn't totaly descriptive but a silencer is what it is

  • actually it still silences the weapon besides mechanical noise, the leftover loud noise is the round breaking sound speed after leaving the silencer

and yes its called a silencer

  • What kind of scope is that?

  • @CabelasOutdoor4x4 yes they can, read your history, the first military silencers was made to be sound like something else..

  • @rulz95OGS95rulz really? what were they made to sound like then? dogs barking,a telephone ringing or maybe a unicorn farting. LOL

  • @glock10mm one of the first silencer for military operations were made to sound like some rainforest bird chirp i think

  • @rulz95OGS95rulz please point me in the direction of the web site that you got that inaccurate info from

  • @glock10mm ive first heard it from a military history teacher then asked same questions amongst other people with that kind of knowledge through my volunteer services. Most internet websites is bullshit and can't be trusted to give worthy information.

  • @rulz95OGS95rulz most "experts" are self taught and cant be trusted,Advanced Armament has a YouTube channel, look them up and please give them that information .i assure you that they will telll you that you are wrong about this

  • @glock10mm allright most resources got their information somewhere who got them from somewhere else ill rest my case and just say that i was not there myself when the first silencers for military operations were made but this is what i think that the first silencers were made to do :)

  • @CabelasOutdoor4x4 See you should not make to fast decisions about people.

  • @CabelasOutdoor4x4 I don't claim to be and gun expert i just said that not all "silencers" are made for making the gun leas noizy but to make the gun sound like something else. What does that even have to do with cod? >.<

  • @CabelasOutdoor4x4 i dont even own a console to play cod my computer probably wont run cod so not really. I hunt and attend to shooting competitions tough :)

  • @CabelasOutdoor4x4 i think your the one who doesnt know what hes talking about so u assume video game hahah

  • Its because he is not using sub sonic ammo stupid

  • If you used subsonic ammo it would be very quiet. EBR is what I use.

  • @shadowhawk32 Do you have any issues with the cycleing of the bolt? I am looking for a subsonic 223 of good quality that racks the bolt back.

  • @trackerscott extreme shock ASP subsonic. killer ammo that cycles the action. highly recommend, just google it.

  • @trackerscott If you're looking for stealthe your best bet is to get a .22 and use shorts in it. They fly at 1050 fps, pretty close to 1120 fps. That will be much safer and the cost will be much less than .223 SS rounds.

  • @shadowhawk32 do you use them because they cycle the action or? I make my own, they don't cycle the bolt, but I make them for less then regular loads.

  • @teamhex You load your own rounds and make them subsonic for cost reasons? That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Powder cost is so low you don't figure it on a round as big as a 7mm Mag. Liar liar. Do you realize what sub sonic is? <1120 fps. When you slow a slug down that much you'd be as well of with a cross bow to kill something.

  • @superlate97 Subsonic .223/5.56 is about $1 a round. The reason is that not many people shoot them and they are only good at sub 150yrd or so ranges.

"Powder cost is so low you don't figure it on a round as big as a 7mm Mag."

I don't know anything about 7mm mag, but I know about 1000 rounds of sub .223 can be loaded for the cost of 15$(Just the powder). I don't think you know what your talking about. A sub sonic .223 will go through over 4 inches of wood at 100 yards.

  • @teamhex What weight bullets are you using?

  • @superlate97 I'm currently using 55gr. If I wanted to, I could step that up to 75gr or so, maybe more now that I have a 1/7 in my AR. I normally just making them for my bolt gun that's in .223.

  • @teamhex My comment about loading sub sonic for cost, the difference between a full load and a sub sonic load in a .223 would be $.005 or less per round, depending on the powder you use. BTW what do you use and how much? I like Unique, it's relatively cheap and works great but I'm going the other way, I want speed and distance. However I don't see a 55 gr bullet that slow going through even a 2X4 on edge, 3.5" at 100yds. The 7mm Remington Magnum is a 3400+ fps with a 130 gr bullet.

  • @superlate97 Ahh I see. I'm currently using trail boss @ 4gr per load. I haven't measured speeds or anything, but I have shot more then a few things with them. Even with a full on load a suppressor will do a pretty excellent job with muzzle noise.I was blown away after shooting mine for the first time. Most videos don't do it justice.I would say mine comes really close minus the blow back caused in my AR. Just can't wait to get my bolt gun running so I can start running heavier rnds

  • @superlate97 Mind you I reload them at less then 25c a round.

  • He was using a suppressor but from the sound of it he was using supersonic ammo. Switch that to subsonic and itll get real quiet.

  • You'd need a silencer that's 5 feet wide filled with some kind of liquid to [almost] fully silence the weapon's shot, heheh.

  • a silencer can also be made to change the sound to sound like something else then a gunsound. also they dont make the gun as silent as many may think, depends on the silencer of course :)

  • i hate how every cod player thinks a suppresser completley silences the weapon and makes no noise, but its still relitivaly loud

  • @slipknot2302 I bet with subsonic ammo it would be pretty damn quiet. Ive fired suppressed 9mm and its pretty quiet the slide makes the most noise out of it all.. Yet i agree that all the kids and some adults think that COD is the "Whats what of firearms"

  • @slipknot2302 Another great reason to hate the game itself. All it does is either attract extremely idiotic people to it, or it un-educates its players.

  • Comment removed

  • @slipknot2302 yep true that, except when your not next to it they dont even sound like weapons fire. Its got a wierd sound to it when your down range from it.

  • @slipknot2302 I'm pre sure he's not using subsonic ammo though :p

  • @slipknot2302 im a Cod player, but i dont think that? your thinking of those pesky little kids! i hate those....

  • Ought to have used sub-sonic rounds.

  • you call that supressed? but still a nice fucking gun!

  • @t0m4k1n9 LOL yeah, it would be better without the supressor - not such high pitch.

  • That's a really nice setup

  • Not really suppressed lmao

  • the stump on the right looks like a bull

  • I love the sound of that bullet going supersonic.

  • nice scope dude, whats that a leeeeuupold

  • Nice camo paint job on it

  • holy shit are you sure that thing is silenced xD

  • @acidfriend47 you fool

  • @acidfriend47 The reason why the shots are not fully suppressed is because, He is not using sub-sonic ammo, so the bullet brakes the sound bearer with normal ammo(Making it so loud)

    Hope this Help!!!

  • @xXxS4v4g3xXx

    Yes its a help.

that wouldn't be something you would want to bring to do a silent operation right? not sure how high the volume of the camera is thats why i ask.

  • @acidfriend47 No Problem, also think of it like this, a suppressor without sub-sonic ammo, just reduced the muzzle flash, and how much gasses release at once!

    Thanks! :)

  • @acidfriend47 The BEast will never be tamed... as long as it has ammo and a guy with a happy trigger finger :D

  • @Biker6396 I heard someone say that Suppressed is the correct word for Silence, because supposedly Hollywood made it up like that.

  • @acidfriend47 Maxim patented the first sound suppressing device for firearms as a "Silencer". So, technically, that is the original correct term. But I, along with many others, use the word "Suppressor" to more clearly define the role and use of the device and to distance tthem from the Hollywood created notion that it makes the gun have an unrealistically quiet "squeaky" noise.

  • Actually I do appreciate the added benefits of the new gas piston AR systems...It does really make a difference. I not only choose the AK platform for it reliability, but for its ease of field stripping and hard hitting 7.62x39mm round. You'd be surprised how accurate a high quality AK can be, never mind a dragonov rifle. Aks are meant to be battle rifles(infantry weapons) not makeshift sniper rifles. When I'm plinking or having fun, I'd rather have the AR for its long distance accuracy.

  • Sounds like u need some lower grain ammo

  • @Lonewolf6565 grain has nothing to do with the amount of powder behind the bullet. grain is the weight of the bullet.

  • @thebaseballplaya27

i am aware what grain is... bullet grain also plays a small part in the effectiveness of suppressors.

  • AR's can't really effectively be suppressed enough to low db levels. The round breaks the sound barrier and creates that "crack" that you hear when he fires. Still a cool look though. Nice rifle...Just make sure you clean the hell out of it after each session. I had an armalite lower and stag upper with a thick 1" reinforced barrel. Those bolt assemblies get so damn dirty due to DI gas system.Thats why I switched to the AK platform.I still like the ar look and accuracy, just not reliable enuf 4 me

  • My gun, my can.....Not me shootin it....and it does effectively suppress the db. Try shootin it w/o the the can and hearing protection. I dont know what yr talkin bout but any round is gonna get a crack when the sound barrier is broken unless you use sub sonic rounds.....no way around that.

  • By the way....Oly Arms with a YHM Phantom can...shootin at clay pigeons

  • @A55corn

Ever consider the AR18? Piston driven but the same looks, the 'new' production Armalite AR-180b even accepts standard AR mags.

  • @A55corn i agree with you, but i will advise you to spend the money and get a gas piston operated ar15. you get the reliability of the AK with the accuracy of the AR. i have a bushmaster with a DI system and i dread shooting it cause its gona take 4 hours to clean lol. my friend has the same gun with a gas piston upper and it stays clean as a whistle lol.

  • @A55corn Try shooting a gas piston system with a can. Like an LWRC M6A2. I have an AAC M4-2000, and it's hearing safe....

  • this is the gun i dream about!

  • nice
