The most quality difference between Muslims and other religious people is that others use bad words for Allah, which by the way the "illiterates" don't know means GOD in Arabic which is a language. Muslims never use abusing or bad words for religions specially Jesus and Moses. @GODandPEACE --- Allah in Arabic is as God in English. Wen we say Insha Allah - it means "God willing" and is the standard of GOD in Arabic. Arabic language came after the previous Holy books were written in Hebrew and then Allah was called "Ilah", which again mean GOD.

I was born in a Muslim family in a Muslim country and Arabic is my native language and I was taught that god is Ilah, I am not going to keep arguing much about it because I find it rather silly that Muslims keep pushing the "Allah means God in English" when it's totally irrelevant to how Allah is perceived by both Chritstian and Jews.

well, in that case you need to maybe read the first sentence of the Genesis in the Bible(Arabic version) as it is used in the Middle East coz it contains the word Allah اللهُ

If u talk to Arab Christians about this they'll tell u differently. The term Allah was used before Islam. @GODandPEACE --- Allah in Arabic is as God in English. Wen we say Insha Allah - it means "God willing" and is the standard of GOD in Arabic. Arabic language came after the previous Holy books were written in Hebrew and then Allah was called "Ilah", which again mean GOD.

I was born in a Muslim family in a Muslim country and Arabic is my native language and I was taught that god is Ilah, I am not going to keep arguing much about it because I find it rather silly that Muslims keep pushing the "Allah means God in English" when it's totally irrelevant to how Allah is perceived by both Chritstian and Jews.

well, in that case you need to maybe read the first sentence of the Genesis in the Bible(Arabic version) as it is used in the Middle East coz it contains the word Allah اللهُ

and if you read the rest of Genesis the word Allah is used repeatedly. so u may wanna reconsider your definition of the word.

I prefer Yahweh! the term allah is only appropriate only for those who are prepared to accept islamic theological implications. Which i do not. Cathlics in arabia use that term to convert muslims. I do not see it fit!

If u talk to Arab Christians about this they'll tell u differently. The term Allah was used before Islam. Pre-Islam Arabs did believe in God of Abraham (Allah), they just associated idols with him thinking that they will get them closer to him or some crap like that. and it's not just the Catholics who use the term Allah. Greek orthodox do the same... and not for the purpose of converting anyone...it's just like that in the book.

"If he had simply announced, ‘Hi, folks; I’m God,’ that would have been heard as ‘I’m Yahweh,’ because the Jews of his day didn’t have any concept of the Trinity. They only knew of God the Father–whom they called Yahweh–and not God the Son or God the Holy Spirit.

Yet Jesus was not the same Person as the Father, but was personally distinct from him, although sharing the same essence and nature with him.
