Both the GT3 and the M5 could enter all corner faster, brake later and turn harder at higher speeds than any motorcycle there.

Bikes only have two rounded thinner tires and way higher center of mass than a sports cars. Even a big family sedan like the M5 has better handling on the limit than any sportsbike.

Bikes are only better in straight lines, and The Ring has so few of those to take advantage. Thats why their records have only cars listed. No contest.

The cars seem to have equal power in terms of acceleration, maybe the Porsche is a little faster, however it seems to me that the M5 handles better?

Heavy M5 on wet nurburgring, crazy. i only drove on this track in GT5, with a much lighter Honda S2000 and slick tires on dry surface, and i couldn`t` finish 1 clean lap. this is crazy

@mantasram In all cases, and all track tests, cars come out ontop, but on the rd, highways or city driving a bike is always quicker. F1 vs Moto GP, F1 has quicker lasp times. The fastest laptimes on this track are held by cars, top road bike vs good fast car, but by no means fastest car, on a race track, like toprgear, 5th gear and various other shows have ran tests, car always comes out top. Bikers will try to tell you different, i love both but the facts/stats speak for them selves. car = Win

also the cars that have the fast lap times are ultimate track cars, where the gsxr 600 has had a little modification pushing it to about 120 bhp, the gumpert is pushing out about 600-800bhp depending upon type and costs about 30 times more!

aye true, but i think its not so impreesive when you look at the power to weight ratio, and the bikes arent really that much quicker, i think how many men wud it take to lift a bike, vs how many men to lift a car! but yeah average rider is gonna be better than average driver, as so many ppl are bad drivers, and thats on the rd take them to the track and like 80%+ wud crash vs bike riders, who have to be more carful cos of the idiots in cars! but take ur car tha track then go get ur shopping! :)

yea don't get me wrong! cars have quicker times than the bikes for the nurburg as its lots of hard braking and sharp corners's but your average rider vs average driver, the rider would go much quicker. also it irritates me when people compare the most silly things! like people comparing a f1 car to a bike! when quite clearly the f1 is way quicker. if you look at the car vs bike test f430 scuderia vs desmosdici ducati. the bike was summin like 21 secs a lap quicker! depends on driver and track

the BMW has a ecu map as standard which can be switched from 400 to 500. i have raced m5's on my bike round tracks and beaten them! its all about the drivers! i do a lot of track racing and can beat near enough all the cars! those riders looked very amateur, and the 'taxi' knows the ring like back of her hand (especially if it is sabine)
