@Insane82chevy That's not how economics work. War CAUSES national debt because the money goes to funding the war machine. The money is put into corporations, many of which are foreign, it does not go back into the economy right away.

Oil Prices and the war were completely separate. We couldn't get as much oil, and thus the price went up until we could afford more (thanks to the raised prices), which is when it began to stabilize.
