that's crazy, of course resistors needed, unless u want to burn ur led when u put volume to about 85%

Hey I checked out your tutorial and I cant seem to read Jrf,Chaos and T3KN1K4L tutorials so I don't know what to do make it show them.

Maybe you should make a video on how to make this mod...I like the whole wifi switch thing.

forget about the switch there is no point my pirst psp had it and i still never turned off the led's just go without cause it's not really needed

Their is no such thing you have to connect leds to speakers

@Armixs You would have to hook them up to the speakers. There is no such thing as a sound reactive LED. Not on it's own anyway.

Hang on im surprised noone asked this but after you do the mod how do you turn the internet connection on and off?

Well check out the Tut to understand in more detail, but your not turning off the internet connection. See you bridge the WiFi pins so that WiFi is always enabled and on stand by. That Switch just hard locks WiFi. However when your in the vsh or playing a game WiFi is never in use even with the switch on. You see WiFi is controlled via software calls on the PSP and will only be turned on by the software that's using it.

If I installed the leds, can you use the software and push a combination like "Select" plus "X" to activate them? I've got custom firmware 5.00 m33-3...

@l0rdnic0 i seen your tut, what if we just solder the wires to the mobo where the pins are? instead of taking the switch off and gluing back to the mobo, can he just solder the wires to the respected places?

what resistor did u use? i replace teh 30k wid a 25K omh and for sum reason the reactive isnt big should i use a bigger like 35k Omh resistor?

i fixed my psp i put a new motherborad couse it was messed up then new speakers and then i did this mod . when was this mod made becouse every 1 says its the first 1 every and i di this sept 15 couple of days after slim came out

wut sup l0rdnic0, u have a pretty cool psp slim here, i just got my psp slim for christmas and im about to do the same LED mod. im just wondering why your wifi switch is backwards, like when its on, ur LED lights are off but when its off your LED lights are on and you can use the internet while ur wifi is switched off, did u do this by accident or u really wanted it to be like that?

lol in acid mod theres a section he posted, one slim for back up just in case somethign goes wrong with mod. its okay.

i hav 2, two slim, one black, the other is blue. the bleu one i got spoiled, the balck i paid for. =D. if anyone wants a black modded slim, message me, im willing to sell it for 170.

Yea This was in fact my first mod I have ever done and the FIRST to do it on a sim in the US, that I know of. So I had no instructions execpt for those writen for the Fat psp. By the way if you read the full post you would also know that the other PSP was purchased because When I don't finish a mod at night I would still have an assembled PSP to play with :D

Well I used it all weeked and never logged any numbers. I've been asked that alot so I started today running the PSP with the lights on music at full blast and the screen on the lowest backlight setting. I have even used wifi. I hope to log the life and do the same test without the LEDs on.

Cool, but it's been done before hasn't it? Or it is the first time they've done it on a Slim? I would be afraid it would totally drain my batteries, especially with that crappy thin battery the Slim gets.

yeah, its the first time its been done on a Slim, it has been done on the Phats before though.
