  • Coyote caught road runner and coyote step on the mine.

  • Looks like an alright game. Out of all cartoons I think Road Runner is the best concept to licence as a computer game. Of course, Tom and Jerry, too (although I didn't come across a good tie-in game for them).

  • Really a great game! Funny yet fitting music, easy to play, gets more challenging as you advance thru the levels... and VERY addictive!

  • wanted this as a kid but my fav games on c64 was commando and 180 ;) good times

  • this game was pretty difficult ,never reached level 4 !! LOL ...:)

  • I like the fast-playing classical tunes they used in the game that give it that cartoony feel, like The Russian Dance in the first stage, The William Tell Overture in the third one, and The Flight of the Bumblebee in the forth. But what's the name of the tune in the second stage? It sounds like the music they play while spinning dishes on poles at the circus. :)

  • Does anyone know what the name of the music in level 1? I'm making a video of famous pieces in C64 games.

  • I remember playing Road Runner in Chuck'E Cheese and I get tickets for playing that game. Love that!!!

  • I had this POS on my NES

  • most anoyying game ever. These games would wind me up as a kid. I'm convinced some of these video games can actually effec kids behaviour back in the day as they were so anoyying when you lost. It used to enrage me when i lost.

  • Well done, ßitch.

  • impressive ending

  • what a brutal game

  • good version, looks hard.. you should play the arcade version with an emulator for a greater challenge.. would have been nice to see the rest of the levels.. also, there's no bridge after the cliffs, they left that out.. oh well.. anyways, you should use the lemonades more. wile can drink them, and it slows him down. you could get a lot more bonus points.. good game

  • I always thought those speckled bird seeds were spiked with iron file or something, because every time I would eat one of those Wile E. would come after me with his friggin' magnet!

  • I didn't know there was a Roadrunner game for Commodore.

  • This is where I learned the beauty of classical music when I was young

  • @Cablo102

Actually it was from Fox Strikes Back

  • I think i remember the 2nd Seed Type, these Black dots are metal Balls, when you eat to much of them the coyote will catch you with a giant Magnet.

  • Had a lot of fun with this as a kid but it's a shame they don't show the cartoons anymore. Probably said it was too violent for kids or some crap. Two questions:

    1) How did you get 22 lives?

    2) How come there's two types of seed? Don't remember that.

  • @odraconiandevil79

    1) This video shows just the last four levels. So I have earned so much lives in the levels before.

    2) Oh, I forgot why there are an second seedtype.

    :(

  • Maybe them seeds are the ones you have to get and you can miss the others.

Anyway, well played! The only thing I was disappointed with was the shit ending. There should have been a pic of Road Runner like the Amiga/arcade versions but I suppose they ran out of time or memory.

  • Ones got metal in it. If you look carefulyl, Wil E tries to get you with a magnet after you've eaten it.

  • You're right! Damn, I ain't played this for so long I forgot!

  • @odraconiandevil79 they show looney tunes on boomerang all the time.

  • Memories lol! I remember this.

  • this game is better as the SNES-version

  • GRÅBEN OCH JULBEN <3

  • 1:24 you forgot the soda bro

  • 0:45 You almost got caught

  • The music is:

    1) Tchaikovsky - Nutcracker - Russian Dance

    2) Khachaturian - Sabre Dance

    3) Rossini - William Tell Overture

    4) Korsakov - Flight of the Bumblebee

  • Hey, thanks!

  • 0:45 oh, you almost got captured

  • Man o Man, what the C64 could do.

  • This game is port of a laserdisc prototype game "Road Runner" Atari created.

  • Lv 16 (last one) is Flight of the Bumble Bee, what are the names of the other classic songs?

  • damn... ich habe dieses spiel damals geliebt. danke für die ganzen longplays!

  • Great music, much better than the NES version. I also know the ST version, but the C64 port is the best one I think.

  • Played this once, suffered the horrible load times and never bothered playing it again. :/

  • i had this on tape and the loading times were horrific. Nice graphics, tho.

  • i know this kind of music after 02:00

someone know the name of the original song?

  • difficult game, played it with my best mate a lot on his C64. Nice!

  • Coyote Ugly and Road Runner *MOEP* *MOEP* szszszszszszszszszszszszs ........... ______ *FEIX* my imagination the anime were sometimes not really speedy gonzales fast mice of mexcio ... *FEIX*

  • I have a lovely copy of this on disk which I got from the brilliant retro games purchasers paradise eBay lol, it is fully complete too with the instructions etc, and the clam shell plastic case opens/closes nicely as if it had only been manufactured just yesterday :-D Nice playing there dude, looks a bit like hard work though :)

  • I played this game in the arcade quite a bit so as you can imagine, I was very happy to get the c64 conversion. I loved it although as I only had a tape deck (not a disc drive) at the time, the loading was a nightmare!!!! Still loved it though. =)

  • Yeah, I know. Unless you had a certain switch plugged into the user port that kept the game in memory, it was one game, rewind & reload. I loved it for the crisp graphics at the time.

  • man, I don't remember the last time I played this.

  • There was a Roadrunner/Wylie E. Coyote game for the old C64? Wow!

  • I used to play this game religiously in the arcade. Surprisingly, the c64 version looks very close to the original- right down to the music. I wish I had owned it. C64 needs to be on the virtual console!!

  • you ,re unbelieveble this game is very hard, great work!!

  • Im happy to see that xD Great Times
