  • Peace,

    @ dukejah88 & 13Bassmann

The name of the Track is called "Time Bomb" and its on PE'S Classic Album 'Yo Bumrush The Show". '87 hiphop Golden Era YEEEEEEAH BOY!

    The Meters = Pure Funk

  • you could so sample it, if you'd be a rapper. but fuck that, this is sooooo awesome!

  • @13Bassmann - Peace, actually Public Enemy used this sample in thier track called "Public Enemy No. 1" or the track "MPE". back in 1987. Check on it. Chuck D flows over the beat.

  • great!

  • It's really unfortunate that you don't hear this kind of music anymore. It's like Hip Hop killed real music :/

  • @chuchunezbie Daptone records

    Google it

  • @chuchunezbie hip hop killed funk/soul? you must be out your mind kid! if anything it brought it back... thru sampling. being able to recreate an entire song in an entire different organization and tune is super difficult, but they never forget where it came from and pay royalties... thats why hip hop has so much soul and organic instruments.

  • The 12" pictured above is a bootleg and was discontinued. It was very briefly available around 2005.

  • @hotdog5505

The 12" pictured above is a bootleg and was discontinued. It was very briefly available around 2005. The original song is from the mid 70's.

  • @agentk01 Anychance, only if you have it but booker t and the mg's version of its your thing by the isley brothers!!!! Funky tune

  • @agentk01 I can't think of any, there are so many funk tracks I love from my childhood (I was born in the 80s but a friends parents used to listen to this stuff all the time) but I can never remember their names, it's really annoying. Glad that there are people such as yourself taking the time to put these up for us all though! Cissy Strut was my favourite song as a kid. So good.
