@J3FFY28 You can do google maps, GPS (navigator), You can watch youtube flawlessly. Yes, you can add backgrounds (screensavers, active wallpapers, etc). There are literaly thousands of applications you can download for free. It also does video and photos so you have a video and photo camera. Also gets you online on any website you can access on the net. It is basically a tiny laptop in your pocket.

Not bad, very fast browsing of course, but the lack of a dual core processor and pocket-unfriendly bulk are major turn offs. The iPhone can get away with single core because of it's featherweight iOS, and of course the never-ending app selection and beautiful retina display. For now I'm sticking with the iPhone, but can't wait to see what 4g holds in store

@WoahSalmo For you, the best option is to wait until Apple makes a 4G iPhone. Unless you're only settling for an iPhone and actually want another type of device, then waiting until a smaller 4G phone is a better option.

I got mine from ebay but hard to know exactly what you are getting and not like right out of the store. I got from eBay "new" but of course was used just a little. I would check out amazon or eBay or maybe Newegg or places around and compare. So far so good on this phone too... I really like it.

I got my htc thunderbolt about a week ago and LOVE it :) haha. Battery life may not be great but if you know what to do you can get past it.. I have 3 batteries.. standard, 2750 and one from ebay for $15.. 3500. On the 2750 with full charge, in 7 hours dropped to 90% charge.. seems good to me. I really like the phone & happy with it. The pictures are great and loving the front facing camera. AND omg this part is amazing... I found a built in application that comes with phone. IT MAKES calls! ha

You would WANT to turn LTE and 4G OFF when you're not using your phone BECAUSE..... when you turn your phone off and put it in your pocket, an Android device is CONSTANTLY updating itself while searching on a LTE and 4G network, that drains the PISS outta your battery. The second you turn on your LTE or 4G, your phone also AUTOMATICALLY updates itself within a matter of seconds after doing so. If you have 3G, make an HTC Mobile Network widget to turn it on and off....WORKS LIKE FUCKIN MAGIC!!!

Battery isn't that bad. I'd say it's average. With the brightness at a reasonable level the battery lasts quite a while. I always see people with the brightness turned all the way up.

just did a speed test comparison with my EVO on 4g and this thunderbolt on LTE. I was inside a verizon store in New York. The thunderbolt got approx. 13 Mbps and the EVO got approx 12 Mbps. That was just one single test... I'd say they are pretty much the same as multiple tests usually bear different results.

Download LTE switch from the market and leave the thunderbolt on cdma (2g). I only use evdo(3g) when I browse the web.  I even browse the web and watch youtube on 2g. I never useLTE( 4g) because this phone is super fast on 3g. My battery now last days. This phone is the best phone out right now. I was considering the Iphone , but the thunderbolt is years ahead of the Iphone.

@robradford5 i agree with you on the battery but i found if you put the 'mobile' widget on your main home page and just shut off the data when your not using it you can actually get about 12 hours of use. also have you had any problems with reception indoors? i find that i get about 1or 2 bars inside but 4 alot of times outside.
