Cant stop listening to this song. It is really great but as is true of most music videos, better to just listen. Yeah the bass player needs dance lessons. Curious that they film in a "wilderness" with power lines overhead. Seems a little unconvincing. Like I said... just listen.
Apparently the lyrics are corny because they're about other things in nature other than girls? Not every band has to talk about sex, women, and relationships to create meaningful music. The reason why they haven't made it big, as in Radio Famous, is because clearly their sound is not for everyone. Views on Youtube don't always correlate with a band's popularity. There are tons of amazing bands that don't have many views on Youtube but still break through in other countries.
This band was never able to break through.. They had potential. But damn, some of the lyrics are so damn corny. I think it was the lyrics holding them back. Perhaps maybe if they refined their sound a little too. Although I like Set Sail the Prarie, it's a bit all over the palce stylistically.. some of the songs could have been leaned up.. Just my thoughts. Sad to see them break up.
If I had to chose one song, and only one, to listen to for the rest of my life; it would be this song. Beautifully composed music, beautiful singing, beautiful everything. This song gives me hope no matter what obsticle comes my way <3
@Krees86 That's a subjective question. Circa Survive is more talented, but the are two different sounds, two different sounding vocalists. Talent doesn't make a song good either. I personally prefer Circa Survive primarily because of the ethereal sound I think they make in their music.
lol I saw these guys at the Eagles Club in Lake Station, IN back in 2006 for $10. There were maybe 75 people there. People online were all about them, so I checked out 'Buy Our Intentions...' and dug it. Friended them on myspace, only to see they were playing 15 minutes from my house 2 weeks after that. Although they definitely rode that incubus - morning view wave. Singer definitely wants to be Brandon Boyd.
I have known these guys since they started out.. They are so amazing.. and to see the journey first hand (Well, from the hand I HAVE seen it anyway), it just gives me pride. I have a picture from their first show at the Paris Theater.. Good Times! They are Water & Bodies now because one of the members left the band.. Still love them all like brothers still though.. :-)
Gotta love Prog Rock. So much better than the other shit people listen to nowadays. This is music with a purpose and direction, these guys have serious promise.
These guys are awesome live!! Loved their cds, they totally surprised me live and hooked me.... Didn't know who they were when they opened for Circa Survive and Rise Against in Orlando
Im suprised they havent made it huge by now, or have they?
All i know is this is ten times if not 20 times better than miley cyrus. If anyone can point out another 16 year old worth a billion dollars, you get a cookie.
really? i wanted to check out their songs from the band "water & bodies by searchin on this site but it only said bodies and water... thts not the same band right? or did you type it backwards? :P
The ocean shots are most definitely Canon Beach Oregon... the mountain shots look like they might be shot near Mt. Adams in Washington. Makes sense since they are from that region.
Like fuzzer3000 said, it's not a breakup, but a hiatus to re-group after the departure of Kile Brewer, the band's original bassist...
In the meantime, the remaining original K-fly members formed WATER & Bodies, and are planning to release an EP some time soon with new music under that name, and not Kaddisfly... Kelsey Kuther's playing bass for W&B, but will be the rythm guitarist for K-fly nonetheless...
Anyway, these musicians are the best, no matter what they call their band or w/e...
I must've watched this 20+ times and only just realized that the video plays backwards at points...

@manlypoo35 This song isn't very representitive of their sound. Just the catchiest on the album. It's my least favorite on Set Sail The Prairie.

For those who don't know, Kaddisfly split up some time ago since one of their band members decided musicianship wasn't his lifestyle.
The rest of the band is called Waters & Bodies.
