  • And also why make a video with a fucking sad song and trying to make us sympathise. They dont need it, theres nothing wrong with people with autism, there just different in an amazing way :)

  • this makes me so angry. the guy dosnt know the half of it. Autistic people are beautiful in the inside and outside. They are definitly more creative, and so what there different, but so is everyone else. My brother has autism, he is 9 and is absolute bull shit at maths and stuth but boy does he have a sense of humour and a memory like i dont know what. and also hes a happy child who dosnt want to hurt. One day im gonna make a film or summin just to get this across.

  • At the ending, it's was dumb when that a kid is in a washing machine ;P

  • "Somebody sneaks into your house and takes your babies mind and personality" Incorrect it is still there, your child just doesn't want to share it with you, get over pitying yourself and your anger that you don't have your ideal child, your child doesn't exist to please you, I am autistic, I never see or speak to my parents, I don't like them, I'm not mentally ill, I'm far smarter than average and I have a good life, autism is a part of your child, if you hate autism you hate your child

  • Honestly I have Autism

  • Please watch this video my sister needs views Bullying for ASD/Asperger Children

  • @blackstarzero hu? where the hell are you getting that from?

  • as someone with high functioning autism I would like to say fuck you for calling me a mindless bewildered child. I resent you and everyone like you. If you find your stupid puzzle piece ribbon ripped off your car it because someone like me is conveying that they don't need to fit into your stupid fucking puzzle. gb2 church you ignorant cunt.

  • <3

  • we found out 2 days ago my 2 year old daughter has ASD

  • @blackstarzero excellent point thank you

  • Its sad that the doctors are in a hard place. A parent comes in and thinks their kid isn't normal, so they have to make up fake diagnoses to avoid a malpractice suit. SAD! Why should I have kids if the statistics say they're just going to turn out retarded?

  • @suprdiversitychannel probably not a malpractice suit but for profit....

  • @suprdiversitychannel how dare you say that, autism is a real developmental disability but the people with it are the most honest and kind people i know, also WE ARE NOT RETARDED, you got that in your head, we will do more with our lives than you, i am aiming to get in the olympics, i already represent great britain, so until you do that do not call autistics retarded.

  • I'm worried because I'm 12 and I show several autism symptoms but I have never been diagnosed. I feel like I can't just TELL my parents I have autism, someone suggested therapy, how do I get it?

  • My friend has Autism, SHE'S HARD WORK! She attention seeks continuously, lies for attention, And is now threatening to leave me as a friend and Because i dyed my hair red she keeps saying i stole her ideas because she draws cats with red hair ! URGH, Please someone help me! Inbox me if you have any clue how to handle this! i can't understand her.

  • @ElisaAshleyFan that sounds narcisistic.

  • @ElisaAshleyFan Let her leave you if she want. Why are you "friends" with a narcissistic bitch?

  • I embrace Autism!! My son is 8 and is on the ASD, I knew at birth he was autistic. He is bright and makes progress all the time, he is my hero! Autism is a part of him and wouldn't change a single thing about him. This is what makes him who he is. Educating the rest of the world is the key..

  • My son has autism look at helmet to helmet hits and look at the one with 8 yr old and then look 4 my comments

  • im autistic but i feel hurt cause i i get made fun of cause of it

  • Not to offend you but you did practically dis the entire autistic community as if they were an inferior pest. I do believe that was not your intention and I understand that your sons autism has handicapped his learning abilities, but that still doesn't mean that its potentially a bad thing. You may address whatever conditions his persona contains as "autistic" but regardless the cumulative of the worlds society is flexible within the boundaries of the handicapped.

  • i have add but there is really nothing wrong with me becaues of the fact is i have a job i work 40 hours a week i seen kids with add and some of them are really nice people dont judge them cause i seen kids with add do good at alot of things

  • good video i have aspergers and adhd and a tic disorders so i think this video will get through to thoses that miss understand people

  • @blackstarzero The world just doesn't understand us, yet many of us end up in the spotlight.

  • I JUST know that i have autism im 17 and besides the fact that I have that , all my life my mom always put me down and constantly says im a lonely piece of sh!t..but I now realize that her heart is the isolated one. for years ive been trying 2 "fight" this personality of mine because every frikin day im constantly put down- and yes im improving now and I can hold onto a conversation a bit longer but i cant look at someones eyes because my mom used to stare at me in the eyes before she beat me up

  • @iamyourimagination Hey Don't give up!!! PLEASE!!!I have a brother who has Autism but he is nonverbal. I'm his only sister and I stand up for him. He is 24 and I'm 19. Have faith and know your not alone. Look for help seriously if you keep feeling down. But you shouldn't because you guys are TRUE ANGELS! :D Have you ever read this Book called "UNLOCKED" by Karen Kingsbury? ITS AWESOME Its not a sad story!! So don't worry. Its a wonderful book about an Autistic teen boy who going to do a play.

  • @iamyourimagination

I am so sorry your mother was so ignorant. You are NOT a lonely piece of sh*t ! !

You are an AWESOME human being !

  • @iamyourimagination My Son, Joel is High functioning Autistic. He was not diagnosed until age 21. He is 28 yrs old now. He graduated ITT Sept 2010 with his Associate Degree... 4.0 perfect attendance, Highest honors, student of the quarter, he took EVERY award they offer. He has returned to ITT for his Bachelors. He is still maintaining 4.0 and perfect attendance.

By the way... Department of Vocational Rehabilitation is paying for his education.

    THERE IS HOPE ! ! !

  • This is utter bullshit. I'm autistic and my autism wasn't an evil monster that came all of sudden to kidnap me! I was born with it. It shaped my personality. It is part of me and I don't want it to go. If you want your child's autism to go away, don't expect that you'll find your "real" son. You'll just find half a human being, who lost half of his mind.

  • @sErgEantaEgis12 I agree with <, I wasn't stolen by a monster ether. There are many non-autistic people who you hear of every day on the news doing alsorts of teribole things. I have never hurt anyone, I don't even use bad lagwige asI desided not to at age 9... I have autism and I'm proud to be the man I am... God loves me this way.

  • My daughter's mind & personality were NOT kidnapped. She is only 4 1/2 years old & between her pre-school class ( designed specifically for children w/ ASD's) & after-school therapy sessions, she works 35 hours a week. That's A LOT for such a little girl. Yes, she has her challenges, but her shining personality of enthusiasm for life are still intact. She is my little hero. When she was first diagnosed, I thought it was the end of the road, but I have learned it's only a detour.

  • I'm not Autistic but I use to help out with the special ed at my school a couple years ago and there was this autistic boy who was a handful for everyone, I was a misunderstood kid cause of things and him he was very misunderstood but we got each other that boy was my heart and my bestfriend. Saying all that mean shit I feel sorry for your kid those kids and people are just like everyone else hell we all got our problems but we are all the same. Try taking a sec and get to know your kid....

  • My child has autism, but he is still my son and always will be. He's very smart and sensitive, and I think he would resent being portrayed in this way, he is just a bit different to most kids his age...

  • what's the song called?

  • I used to be very prejudiced against autistic people. And that was an issue I have been working on.

Since then I've become a better me...

Diversity is the spice of life. Respect differences. In fact, I would say they should be celebrated.

Autism doesn't have to be a disability if you don't want it to be. It can be a difference, and nothing more.

Of course, I don't understand what you're going through. But I respect you.

No matter what, we're all human!

  • The meds only made me feel out of touch with My Reality. We are not kidnapped we ware simple to superior for you to understand. There are ideas that we autistics are only the next evolutionary proses.

  • I am an Autistic Adult aswell and I do dont went to have a "cure". It is not such a disability Infact its a gift. i was not dicinosed till i was 16 so i grew up thinking that i was an odd kid. This had helped me and the only way i could have heart me is by being dicinosed at all because once some put a name on What I AM, they wanted to "make me normal" by shoving medication down my throat.

  • And one more thing is that Autism is not like someone sneaking into your house and stealing your child's mind. I don't think anyone "stole my mind." It's more like I am the way God made me. You seriously think we chose to be autistic? We are made the way the Lord God created us. Plus, you posted this video and you have a child with autism? Poor child. I bet you beat him to death every night.

  • @JenselAngel It's fun to watch the extreme exaggeration of statistics touted by "Autism Speaks." This commercial from 2007 states "1 in 250." 2008-09 it was "1 in 150." 2010 commercial with Toni Braxton is now "1 in 110." At this rate, every child born three years from now will be born with Autism. This org is nothing more than a money-making, propaganda, exploitation machine out to line their own pockets on the misfortunes of others. Anyone awake in their management doing the stats?

  • Not to be rude, but I am a teen with autism and autism is NOT an emergency or calamity. Did you know that some people, such as Albert Einstein, Thomas Jefferson and Mozart are believed to have had autism? There are also some famous people with autism. Bill Gates is believed by some to have autism. Also, I'd recommend looking up Temple Grandin. I'm not even trying to be mean, so I'm sorry if I come off as that way. I am merely just voicing my opinion.

  • So you think you child has no soul or mind now that they have autism?

  • im not autism ,i have a friend who is ,instead of using kidanapped i rather say gifted ,they have special talent and they grow up to be normal like everyone of us ,they r cute ^.^

  • I don't think your video distinguishes between autism and aspergers very well.

I think you mean well but to say that they don't have personality isn't true

  • Rewiring your brain :D

    I have autism, don't find a cure.

  • Without my little brother, I could NEVER be as patient as I am today. people turn to me and say "you have the patience of a saint" in the hallways at school because I can help them when they are worrying over something little like a dropped lunch tray. The other kids laugh. Autism teaches me patience, practice, teaching skills, and just general acceptance of others. It has taught me to love no matter what, even if your brother just ran outside naked in front of your friends.

  • my little brother is autistic and i wouldn want him any other way he has got the most gorgeous laugh. . sings to me if im upset and makes me laugh constantly and he can do all this with limited speech so no it is not a disease as some idiots call it

  • their not levels as a level can go up or down if a child is on the spectrum that means that they are mild, moderate, severe or profound so dont talk about what you dont know about

  • This video is horrible.I t portrays all autistics as being evil and possesed. We're people and deserve to be treated as such.Autism is not a disease!

  • There r different leavels of autism These children a blessed with a gift but with that gift comes a life time of worry for there parents. That is why no parent will stop looking for a way to help there child to intergrate into this world so that they can survive when there gone!!

  • Oh boo hoo. Yeah this is terrible. Einstein was kidnapped by the horrible ASD boogyman. He was only lucky enough to have gained the ability to focus on physics after being molested. Oh no run everybody.

  • That's nice. If you're autistic, you used to be a person but you're not anymore. I'm autistic, so that's me too I guess. Nobody ever tried to cure me either. i must be a total lost cause then. Too bad.

  • This guy is sick. Chekc out the Video In my language and then tell me its a national emergency. Maybe look into the story of the horse boy. Autistic people are PEOPLE and this video gives the messgae that autism means non human, a tragedy, something to despair of.

  • My fourteen year old brother was diagnosed with Severe Non-verbal Classic Autism at the age of three, and since the people always tell things he WILL never be able to do, he cannot speak, he cannot go to college, get married, have children, buy a home, live on his own, come out of himself

But people miss the things he CAN do: he can smile, laugh, play, he hardly throws any tantrums, he's fully potty trained(which is rare), he sleeps through the night, eats without difficulty

    A picture of hope

  • What I'm trying to say is, just because a child is diagnosed with autism, doesn't mean that you have to give up hope, but it doesn't mean you have to find a cure...

people with autism are BEAUTIFUL!! They are gems in a society that demands perfection, and in a way better than normal people, seriously they don't hate anyone!! They just need to be understood better. I know that parents with autistic children just want them to be normal, but why can't you stop looking at the negative!

  • Look at what your child has taught you!

My brother has taught me kindness, patience, unconditional love.

They are not broken appliances that you have to fix, they are rare treasures!!

I know autism is frustrating, I live with it everyday, sometimes you just want yell "WHY CAN'T YOU BE NORMAL", but at the end of the day, I wouldn't have Connor any other way

  • This is so ture!! u have described my god daughter to a t. she was also Severe Non-verbal Classic Autism at the age of thre.

  • @TechnoPenguin123 That is so true. every bit of of it. My brother is nine years old, and ever since he was diagnosed, people have said he has no future. You can't FIX autism, but you can work with it. People with autism see the world in a whole new way, but at the same time, it's exactly the same thing we see.

Also, my brother's name is Connor too! :]

  • I agree.

  • This video was the sickest piece of shit ever and was offensive. I have Asperger syndrome and that is a genetic condition. Autism is NOT caused by vaccines as these David Icke fans suggest as these also belive in alien cover ups et cetera. Autistic people need understanding and acceptance for who we are not bigotry by these conspiracy theory twats.

  • That is bull I have friends with autism and they have beautyfull souls and they are the greatest people I know.

Autism is a gift and people need to see that!

  • we are not animals!!! we are people who have difficulties with people. not a national crisis! i know! why not execute us? why not send us to a friggen island? why not take us to the prisons and put us on the electric chair!? you are all sick perfectionist bastards saying all these horrid things. i was one of the unfortunates bullied by the 'normal' people...and my view of you....just got even put into more hate...

  • @Dspider17 Autism is a lot like the X-Men in a way. A disability to societies often ignorant standards, but an extraordinary ability in its own way. People see the outside effects and are quick to judge, but they overlook the potential they themselves don't have. The ability to focus for an unusual amount of time on something is one thing I have.

  • @Dspider17 maybe we, the autistics are the perfect ones, we dont lie, cheat or steal, so what are they all complaining about, a lot of autistics will achieve more in their life than 'normal' people

  • This is offensive. We aren't empty shells. We're human beings. Our perceptions are valuable. Diversity is integral to our society. These are your children! Love them for who they are.

  • I have two children on the spectrum, I also see the traits in my family. My son has late onset post-MMR regression and gut problems. It took an autistic adult to show me what true autism was. I am doing bio-medical dietary intervention to heal my son's body so he can be the high functioning Autistic he was born to be. I have never yet met one parent would change their child's personality (autistic or NT). They just want to heal their child to end the physical suffering.

  • Parents need to understand that "autism" is not the physical medical auto-immune problems resulting from environmental toxins - Autism is a set of often quirky personality traits, often leading to a near genius IQ. Watch the parensts closely take Jenny McCarthy, her body language and mannerisms - she exhibits strong traits, (I have seen her rocking her body) her eyes are darting from side to side - parents dont see these genetic traits. They believe Autism to be a "vaccine toxic overload"

  • The kidnapping spoken about in this video, is a physically induced regression caused by "environmental toxins" - those children are then labelled "AUTISTIC" - Autistic adults try to tell parents that Autism isnt this physical/medical problem, but a gift. Please everyone open your eyes and see that Autism is being used as a scape goat to deliberately hide the effects of environmental toxins on society. PROBLEM, REACTION - SOLUTION

  • Parents v Autistic adults. There are two types of autism - This is where the real problem lies. These medically ill children having been given the label of "autism has lead to a split between autistic adults and parents. Think of how language can be manipulated "politically correct" the meaning of words is changed deliberately. Autism meaning two things to two groups who begin to fight - a fight that can never be resolved. "if we wont fight THEY invent reasons why we should"

  • I've Aspergers, I need tolerance, not a cure.

A world without Autistic people or people with down syndrome (or other stuff like this) would be boring. I think that people like this make the world a better place.

  • This video is very offensive as it DEHUMANIZES autistic people. Even the

" lowest functioning " child is a whole person not a mindless, souless body to be shelved away while you search for the " real kid ". YOU ARE DISTURBED !!!!!

  • I understand fully your anger, and your right to express it, which is good. Now pray for these people. Pray that a very clever Autistic comes into their lives and shows them diversity.

  • You were the answer to my prayers. Thank you my friend, it was you that helped me to see past the lies and deception. I just want all this anger and hatred and ignorance to stop. Its time to heal. Love light and blessings xxx

  • This video makes me sick :((

  • Even Know That I Have Autism too. and im very a healthy girl and pretty normal So Does the Other Children everybody is equal. u know people have different autism some pretty bad and some not that bad

Thats how life supposed to be

  • Im very happy that those of you diagnosed with high functioning autism and aspergers, dont feel a cure is necessary, but ask the mothers who will be taking care of their children for the child's life, how they feel about a cure and being able to see their children be happy and independent. And the experiment regarding the MMR only showed a strand of the vaccine in the bowels of autistic children, there was no link proven. Look it up. Dr Singh. Nothings been proven with thimerosal either

  • What if "Happy and Independant" aren't two words that go together in their minds. Regardless of our "Bird must leave the nest" culture, so people need to know physically that they are cared for. I am Autistic and the standards for independance in this society is too high for one who claims to appreciate diversity . IN truth, this culture couldn't if it tried

  • Reading the comments thread made me really angry! Why is it that every adult with autism that never had a chance to be treated with biomedical approach is saying that us parents are trying to change our kids? I am not trying to change my kids, I love them as they are, all I want is to make their lives easier for them so they can have a chance in this world without me as a shadow!

  • Comment removed

  • Good intentions, but really just cause theres a trouble with communication doesn't mean theres not a mind there. Thats really offensive to us autistics.

  • I am nineteen and just three weeks ago i was diagnosis with autism and i think this is a good video and the song is so so good thanks

  • There are many kinds of Autistic people. Not all of them are rapists; I never though they were all rapists. All Autistic people have trouble with communication and empathy. Some Autistic people have more trouble with these problems with than others. There are some Autistic people where things come easy and they have many friends and get married. All Autistic people are different and there is no way of knowing what one will be like; I learned this the summer I met my husband.

  • This video is amazing, and the facts are oh so true. I'm not familiar with the song, but I'm all to familiar with the autism spectrum. I took my son to a Christmas parade tonight, while other kids were excited about the "rescue vehicles" and their sirens, not my son. He plugged his ears, bent down, started rocking, loudly humming and BEGGING to go home. I so wanted to shout at those people to stop playing with their sirens. I miss mommy hugs too.

  • great video!! this really made me consider it. now that i think about a couple of my friends that i thought were just trying to b different or just didnt wanna commit or something r more likly hav autism: ( but there still the same old friends: ) does anyone know the song?

  • I think it's great that you're trying to raise awareness of autism, but your statement that it robs them of their minds and personality is doing more harm than good. Autism comes in many forms and I believe one of the biggest problems is lack of understanding. People treat my two siblings like there invalid or not a real person and this attitude is spread my messages such as this. We need to be focusing on proper education. Besides I think my siblings have more personality than anyone I know.

  • Before toddlers that recieved 14 vaccinations, autism wasn't really common. Now it is so moronic all these vaccinations that contain MERCURY (Which causes Autism!) I know parents that have given their children ALOT of vaccinations and their kids are unhealthy, weak imunnesystems, ear infections, and have been diognonsed with autism, but then I know kids who havn't had vaccinations who are perfectly healthy and are RARELY sick.

  • Dear YourFaceb***h, no vaccin causes Autism. that expriemnt was done worng. Only one more person who had autism had the vaccine. How do you explaine the ones who didn't get the vaccines? Anyways I have no intenion of hurting you....or offeneding you in anyway. That's just my opinon.:)

  • Ted Bundy had Autism.

  • It doesn't take their mind. The mind is still there.

  • i love this thankyou

  • if people could only understand what it is like when you see your child or grandchild dealing with this "illness" My grandchildren are my heart's delight, and my grand daughter has pdd nos, my grandson is also in question with this puzzle called autism. Thanks for the awesome video!!

  • I've been having problems since I was 6, I'm now 16 and I was proven to have aspergers syndrome a month ago. The government should put more funding into autism charities because it's basicly a wasted life if no one helps and if the facts I've just read were true that's alot of wasted lives. I have an IQ of 140 and I just got A*'s for my exams yet my attendance at school was only 40%, imagine what I could have done with 100% attendance...

  • Yes,thats how I feel, someone took my child's mind and her personality, thankyou for your time posting.

  • Amazing video, really touching intro to it by the way.

  • were did you get the beganning form?

  • I am an autistic adult.

I do not want to be cured.

    I am not impressed.

Try accepting your autistic child as he is? Finding compassionate, individualized interventions to allow him to get by in autistic society without changing who he is? He may not be who you thought he was, but he is still a person and still just as valuable. He is just different from what you envisioned him.

  • i agree with malfoyfemdom.

there's a lot of shit happening on this world, but when you accept things like they are, it will be a lot easier

  • I do accept my child for who he is and try to give him every possible advantage to be who he is. This video is for people that do not know a lot about autism. You seem to be very high functioning which is great, but there are many autistic children that do not have a voice of there own. If you have any suggestions of groups in the houston area I would love to hear about them. This video was to inform that's all.

  • I understand where you are comming from, JJRJB2004, bu t hear me out, this may seem odd, but I like the fact that society sees me as cognatively impaired and not high functioning enough. I woulkd never want to cure myself, to change myself even if possible would give into the demands of this spoilt brat society, who has had everything its way. We are also not good at backing up what we believe with action. We preach about diversity, but destroy it in action.

  • We preach about diversity, but destroy it in action.

Serge, language has been twisted to serve an agenda, once we see past the illusion and the lies we are free to think for ourselves, divinise our egos to accept and love each other. The comments on this video just demonstrate the "divide" between the two sides of the autistic community because the word "autism" has been manipulated to mean two different things to two separate groups - Society will change Serge, it has no choice xx

  • jjrjb2004, I know where you are coming from I have two children who developmentally regressed. My son is non-verbal, I am his voice until he finds his own. I know you love and accept your child, but that doesnt mean you cannot seek to heal his body just as any parent would do. Stay strong our children are our best teachers. My son taught me the true meaning of "unconditional love". Seek to help him heal physically and you will probably have a high functioning Aspie on your hands :)

  • do you know that most human communication is unspoken. Do a YT search for a video called :

"Abraham: A NEW PARADIGM - Esther & Jerry Hicks"

I believe autism is part of mankind's evolution, a change in our consciousness and the way we think. Look at the effect of having an autistic child has on us parents. It changes us completely. Love is the strongest force in this universe. Take care stay positive. Look into your child's eyes to see the purity of their soul - my son is my strength.

  • @jjrjb2004 and you saying that it is a national crisis is not showing much love to your kid. And every autistic kid has a voice of their own take some time to listen maybe not with your ears but with your heart and your eyes they speak in their own way..I learned that at a young age it's sad you still haven't and you have a kid with autism...when your kid gets in school he will get bullied just the way schools are and dude this video makes you no better than those bullies damn shame

  • @jjrjb2004 u can be informative without becoming part of the ignorance. I'm also a parent.

  • This video was not posted to impress you. What makes you think you know how people envision their children?

  • I never claimed that this movie was supposed to impress me, now, did I? I posted this comment to serve as an advocate for autistic people that seek respect rather than a cure.

The fact is, this video has curist overtones, whether it was intended or not. Otherwise, I would have stayed away. Nor did I claim to know how he envisioned his child. I just know he did not envision his child to be autistic. Only autistic parents seem to really even contemplate the possibility beforehand.

  • (Con't.) So, I really would appreciate it if you...DIDN'T...put words in my mouth.

  • Because culture has a mindset. In truth, they want one type of person whos conciousness is in one state at all times. They want people who role over w hen told to. Who always "play the game". Some of the things done to me by this militeristic society had good merit, ot hers didn't. Still, I am that I am, and these children are that they are. Moinab, do you really want a world of paper dolls?

  • @MalfoyFemDom please add me,my son also has autismn he is 17 i fully agree with the points u have made i find this mans statement wholly patronising and ignorant.

  • Great video! Thanks.....
