  • I'm wondering if this is bottom-drive traction

  • And it is.

  • I like this elevator and has a very nice cab

  • So do I.

  • I know that this is a lovely elevator, and center opening doors are more common in America than in Canada.

  • Very nice elevator. I miss center-opening doors. They're not as common as they used to be.

  • @myotismon767 center opening doors are safer. that old style bell is cool. its walls are nice.

  • Yes, center doors are safer and more aesthetically pleasing. I too love the cab design, and the old style bell. Also, maybe for hospital, service, and freight elevators, use the double speed center opening doors.

  • @myotismon767 I love center open, but now its the crappy single slide

  • @patricknedz And from my experience, single slide tend to have more problems with the interlock not making contact when closing and then the elevator doesn't go anywhere. Particularly if the door closes slowly.

  • @myotismon767 also when they are closing and you go to reopen them they take longer to stop and reverse
