Hey, at least he's bringing attention to movies most people wouldn't have heard of otherwise. I grew up on an island with one movie theater and a couple video stores that all stocked the same movies. The cable company offered the Sundance channel for premium subscribers but discontinued it because apparently I was the only one watching. For me, Tarantino's movies have been a gateway to other eras and genres of cinema. Now I have Lady Snowblood on the way via netflix.

Thanks for your reply, Lilja. I agree, although I have always preferred the Snowblood to the Prisoner series. Anyways, Meiko's Zenkyoku Shu album has been in my Top 3 most listened albums for years now. I listen to songs from it almost every day, and still can't get bored. I especially like: Urami Bushi, Shura no Hana, Onna Negai Uta, Betsuni Dottekoto Naishi and Onna no Jyumon; but they are all heart-warming musical poetry.

I discovered this singer while listening kill bill orinal track, i got the record called Zenkyoku shu ... The music is simply fantastic it has occidental influence but remain very original for an european. All the album songs are fantastic.

If anyone knowing japanese music can indicate me other artist of that kind.

The only other japanese record i have is Metroplis OST by Honda and some pieces are very nice too.

This song owes its present English name to Quentin Tarantino. Previously it was translated something like Flower of Hell. Obviously the song's author and the Meiko Kaji given credit in KB. At least the author was thrilled that his song was used in a huge blockbuster. I don't believe Meiko minded either, it gave her even more fame.

Quentin never made it a secret that Lady Blood was the basis for his script.
