Why is renamon Male?

@Tietokone102 Because Chiaki J. Konaka intended Renamon to be a androgynous character. The japanese studios chose a deep female voice, while the german studio chose an elegant male voice. I think both work pretty well and fit the character. (English Renamon is out of character though)

Renamon sounds like male or woman with really deep voice. I don't understand this thing in german that some male charecters are voiced by women and women by men. Like in One Piece Hatchi (don't know his german name) is a guy and he had women's voice. But great dub.

But in Finland Angemon had women's voice but so he did have in original version. So dubbers were loyal to the original version. They even kept the japanese names.

Naja, die Stimme passt trotzdem irgendwie. Das ist die Stimme, die ich mir für das männliche Renamon in Digimon Savers: Another Mission wünschen würde, wenn das Spiel in Deutschland und mit deutscher Sprachausgabe erscheinen würde.

Das war ein Missverständnis, was die japanischen Schöpfer gesagt hatte. Digimon Geschlechter haben, aber nicht sexuell reproduzieren.

Seems to be a misinterpretation of her rather deep voice.

Out of the context and stuff like dialogue, it however becomes clear that she is female in the German Dub aswell. But with a male voice.
