Forgiving such a thing isn't more powerful - it shows people that they'll allow themselves to be walked on, and these sorts of attacks will continue. Too many have opted to 'forgive' their assailants. Look where it's got them. Prayer and well wishes accomplish nothing - actions, however, are another story entirely. It is brutal and morally questionable, but I think it'd achieve results. I'm not sure if I think it's right or not, but it's fair.
