  • never heard of this exercise b4

  • if for whatever reason your ultimate goal is to end in a wheelchair with permanent back damage this is the perfect exercise...

  • skinny guy trying to feel strong by doing exercise wrong, funny

  • Hahaha do curls in the squat rack

  • Really?...

  • super

  • this is the stupidest exercise ive ever seen, does any one truly think this can be beneficial?

  • @slimbw93 lifting any heavy weights are benficial, its a great core exercise but if you want strong shoulders its not the exercise for you, stick with shoulder press and push press.

  • @scarred10 being a personal trainer i have to agree with the other trainers and say that this will definitely pop a disk i know alot of core exercises but i never have seen this one before and ill be honest it just doesnt look healthy, but hey, to each is own, right?

  • @slimbw93 it wont definitely pop anything since old time strongmen did it evry day with max weights. However I wouldnt pescribe it since there are safer ways to get the same effect,no point taking unnecessary risks.

  • So this is what they mean when they say: get bent.

  • uh... he didnt press it, the weight pushed him down low enough until his arm locked....

  • @DMxNemesis Um.... that's what a bent press is. It's an old school exercise that built a lot of core strength.

  • wow that was homosexual

  • Lol why do people think it's fake? He's a strong guy lifting a fairly heavy weight. Keep in mind here, he's doing a Bent Press. Who the fuck would fake a video, to showoff how much they can lift in the BENT PRESS. Come on.

  • you kinda exposed it was fake at 0;26 at how easily u pushed the DB while ur other attempts were harder

  • @muzimuzi He jerk's it up, which is easier compared to the slow grind of a bent press, though still admirable, for my money a plausible effort.

  • @muzimuzi sit down before you hurt yourself retard

  • @muzimuzi do urself a favor and learn about momentum and how to use it. This isn't body building this is strength and conditioning, which allows you to FUNCTIONALY utilize the strength you acquire, not just push or pull a weight in a straight line for 10 reps x 3 sets

  • @MmaNcovers did you even check my vids before saying that lol? its not like im training for mass and leaness and doing 10 reps - somthing i dont like about how this vid looks.... just look how fast he lifts the DB off the ground from 0:02 i've never seen any person picks up a 100 pound DB that fast as if it was a toy unless its not a reall 100 pound DB

  • @muzimuzi BRO COMMON, someone in your condition should know that by using legs and hips you could easily drive that weight up. You just need a strong core and solid shoulders to stabilize the weight and postiion.

  • @MmaNcovers hmm maybe i just cant stand his punkass smile after he gets that lift i still think its fishy it is youtube after all i could be lying he could be lying its never certain - and i suppose some1 in my condition was a compliment ^^?

  • he lift it so easily to his shoulder if he can do that with a 100 lbs dumbell he should be able to powerclean 300 lbs+. this is a fake weight you scrubs.

  • big woop

  • strong dude

  • This is so awesome, you never see anyone doing this lift anymore, truly a lift of the old time greats! Nobody realizes how hard this is and this is what real lifting is!

  • @himestein agreed takes so much balance. real weightlifting is about balance and technique knowing how to move around the weight to use gravity and so on. not just brute strength. Arthur Saxon did 375 pounds as a bent press wich is recorded and might be the world record still. and did more but was never recorded as far as i know. and considering he was born in the 1800s died early-midish 1900s. id say that pretty good. no steroids or supplements. just good food. and training.

  • Good job man, you got my respect, bent presses are hard as fuck.

  • @wantapie I am a trainer at another gym and am starting physical therapy school next month. Just because someone is a trainer doesn't mean anything. Most of them don't know anything at all.

  • Comment removed

  • If any of you think this is fake, you know nothing about genetics and lifting. The dude is naturally skinny. He doesn't put on bulky muscles cause his metabolism is different. I'm built like this dude. Plus he jumped when he did the press; that added to the power and momentum behind the weight.

Either way, good job man and keep up the hard work.

Just watch your form -- don't squat so much on bent press. You can lift more if you don't.

  • This is a fake weight you idiots.

  • more of a side press, but kudos either way.

  • i would like to see a video of all the keyboard warriors doing this

  • Hey, sometimes people don't even know what they're talking about, but whatever is only making you stronger, stay with it and don't change one single thing about what you're doing, I can perform a 100lbs with a barbell for 30 seconds, how many gym rat today could even try that. Just do what you think will work only for you and no one else.

  • I just got doing a 100lbs bent press at my local globo gym and the douche bag trainer told me I was going to pop a disk if I kept it up. Should I punch him in the face or take heed and do what he says?

I am doing this stupid routine that revolves around the deadlift, squat, bench, overhead press, and weighted chins and dips. Do I give this idiotic program up and do my chest and triceps every 3 days until the day I die?

  • chest and triceps every 3 days until the day u die brugh!! has proven results

  • @levidavi Stick with you're routine and don't ;isten to that idot.

  • @levidavi do whatever is of interest to you, the bent press is an old exercise that many old time strongmen used, and i'm pretty sure none of them experienced any injuries, and i'm sure you won't either as long as you're patient with your progress and perform the exercise with correct form.

  • @levidavi That sounds like a great program honestly. I'd add in some barbell rows too though.

  • @levidavi I was doing the bent press as the guy on the video did, and after 2 months of doing BP I felt discomfort on my lower back. Now I prefer to lower my hips as if I were squatting. Now I don't feel any discomfort and I can do it with 100 pounds.

  • @levidavi stick with the deadlifts, squats , bench, shoulder press and weighted chins and dips

  • @levidavi Just do curls in the squat rack and and you'll be fine .....

  • man. very impressive.

  • bent presses are CAKE.... you arm never moves its the body watch as his arm never leaves its starting postion

  • yeah man, its all about bench press and bicep curls, right?

dumbass, shut up and sit down before you fall down.

  • yeah thats what i meant by that comment...haha 100lb bents press is easy try it with the oly bar TWAT!

  • haha

  • So? your arm still has to hold the weight

  • its a hundred pounds its all about balance but its a good lift for his weight

  • Despite his similarly thin frame, Bruce Lee had this same type of unusual explosive power and strength, though his was well beyond this guy's. Still, I would like to know how he does it.

  • It's not fake.. I do one-arm pull ups all the time.

  • I don't understand what looks fake about it??

  • this shit made me nervous.

  • Exactly. When he went up with it I was waiting for something in his back or shoulder to tear. Impressive weight, but extremely sloppy, which could lead to injury. Be careful!

  • there is nothing fake about this, the kid is that strong of a kid. like I said before, I have seen guys with far more muscle mass struggle with the one arm 100lb dumbbell press...then there are some guys, like this kid, who have no problem at all with a 100lb dumbbell, that's just the way things are sometimes in lifting. nice job, man.

  • Is it harder to do it bent or standing straight up? I could press 95 {all the weight I had} standing straight up right handed and jump it left handed when I was 15 5'10 "and weighed 110 pounds wish we had a camera back then I was freaky strong at arm wrestling too people always thought it was a joke when I slammed down some big football players arm like he was a little kid. Probably won't believe this but its the truth.

  • For those of you who think it's fake, it's not. When he does the push press afterwards, his arms shakes, then stabilizes, but the weight doesn't move. If it was a fake weight, it would be moving with his fake stabilization. It's not, watch it again.

    Great lift man.

  • WTF. I don't normally hate on videos I see, but when he FIRST lifts the weight onto his shoulders= effortless... That shit is faaaaake!

  • Your argument is correct assuming that a fake dumbbell means a dumbbell which hardly weighs anything at all.

  • what would be the point in making fake bent press videos? and if you are making videos of yourself bent pressing....why? who the fuck cares...

  • This really looks fake, but if its true, nice job then.

  • Not fake I was there and saw him do it...at the gym we had crappy 100 LB giant rubber dumbbells making it even harder to control

  • For all those who are bad mouthing the guy in this and other Bentpress vids..Why not shut your damned mouths up are better yet make your own Bentpress vids of you bentpressing and show us your so bad!

  • Excellent fake bent press with bullshit weight. Well done. We are all impressed.

  • And oddly, you have no videos. Coincidence?

  • Implementthrowing stop telling other people that there vids are fake just to make your weakself fell better. Anyway yea like the other guys said, it`s more of a Side Press the a Bent Press. But that is a very impressive Side Press. Keep training my man.

  • Good, especially for someone that skinny.

  • wow... a 100lb dumbell...

  • wow. Brave guy :D

  • Really more of a side press, the bent press is more involved then that. Why not you a barbell, the balance vector is much more intense.

  • Agreed, but it's a good side press. :)

  • Nice job man -- who taught you the bent press?
