  • One of their most underrated songs! I love it!

  • my favorite song from them..tragic to see karen so thin

  • So Richard begged Karen not to do a "dated" sounding disco tune, but this track isn't much different. They had to crush her and pull the plug on her solo album (I think because of their instinctually controlling nature). This sounds so 80s here too, and has not aged half as well as their early stuff.

  • i just love this song so much....i keep on playing the repeat button

  • I was 15 years old 30 years ago....I'm glad to have this music as part of my memories.

  • zero like.... WOW!!!!!!

  • Is the Drummer, Ronnie Tutt, I think that is his name. I f that is, who i think. He was Elvis's Drummer for the concerts. Anyway, what an Angel voice she had. To me, Karen is the best female singer ever born and of course, to me, Elvis is the best male voice ever born. If you put them together you have the best Heavenly voices next to god. Gone even now, yet to soon. xoxoxo

  • It's so obvious Karen Carpenter was really staving herself during this period. She looks skeletal. So unfortunate!

  • I must say this, she wasn't bad looking physically. Was she, say, Dolly Parton? No. That stated, I think she was pretty; She was talented too. I miss her today. Oh well, at least we have this to remember her by.

  • @kja427 I agree, she was not Jessica Simpson but she had a beautiful face and a breathtaking smile....she was a real woman, not fake.

  • @kja427 Karen was a beautiful girl when she started out, physically speaking (her talent never wavered!). She looks so terribly ill here, though, compared to just a few years earlier, and it's heart-breaking to watch, as this was filmed shortly before the Anorexia Nervosa killed her. :-(

  • @kja427 I also agree. We have ALL her songs to remember her by.

  • She could sing the birds out of the trees...We'll never hear a voice like this again.

  • I LOVE this song! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

  • Sorry, I meant Only Yesterday video!

  • Karen was not only an angelic singer with the purest voice ever recorded, but she was also such an incredibly beautiful woman. It is so hard for me to see her this way although her voice sounds better than ever. She was at her most beautiful in Hurting Each Other Video when she throws her head back while recording. A haunting voice and soul that gives us all goose bump moments to this day!

  • meu pai ama essa musica

  • This song initially zipped up the Billboard Hot 100 - was a "biggest mover" in its 2nd week in the Top 40, moved 38-27! That was huge back in those days - I can remember Casey Kasem stating it. But it slowed down and stalled at #16 for 4 weeks and then fell to 45. But I think if Karen had been with us longer, Richard would have piloted them back up into the Top Three. Absolutely one of their very best, by THE very best pop artists.

  • Sweet and innocent music. What an amazing voice she had! Unforgettable.

  • Karen, we dearly miss you, you were sublime and unique. You will always be beautiful and wonderful to all of us.

  • gives me chills :)

  • thumbs up for watching in 2011 XDD

  • i was watching karen carpener's videos all night and i saw how she got sicker and sicker. it hurts seeing her again this frail.almost wraith like. i miss you and your voice karen. you always made me smile and sing along.

  • Great video- thankyou, love the way they dance - thats the way I heard it should be

  • S.U.P.E.R. Karen and Richard ...très bien ...toujours présent pour ceux qui aime la qualité ....

  • God punished the world for cuttin' music education programs in the 80s by takin' Karen from us & lettin' the devil flood the airwaves with the garbage we hear since 1994.

  • Very great sound.

I don't know why this song never was a Number 1, it i really nice.

Perfect vocals and amazing back up singers. Great instrumental.

    BEST GROUP EVER. LOVE THEM.

  • @Undefeated92 it's just one of those things....the public decides pop music is S#!%

  • @Undefeated92 I know why not, North Americans became stupid about their music choices and new wave crap took over the charts, when jewels like this were left to bite the dust.

  • @Undefeated92 I agree, this song is superb, why it,s not even one of The Carpenter,s more popular songs puzzles me

  • @gliese3b that's just how things work out I guess, at least we still have the advantage of being able to listen to it

  • Karen and Richard hit #16 in Billboard, 8-1-81. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! RIP, Karen.

  • @DaveWollenberg this was their last hit on the billboard

  • @karencarpenterfan1 Last top 40 pop hit. They had at least 1 more hit the Hot 100. Thanx for checkin' in. God bless ya, for doin' that!

  • karens voice is untouchable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @shehanjoeybmw1 this is true!

  • yes!

  • The single most identifiable voice ever!!!! A great singer and such a tragic loss of life and incredible talent

  • @leopardilures it is very sad but karen is happy now...she can rest in peace and her voice can and will be remembered

  • Carpenters are Cool!!!!

  • Reminds me of a woman I loved once and still in loved with..................

  • Song right from paradise. Pure classic. We can't have more.

  • You ass!

  • @NgJackal1990 Why are you saying this? What did I do?

  • @karencarpenterfan1 I was about to post this and you ...

  • oh Karen why did you have to leave us so soon.

  • The Carpenters are fulfilled our hearts on this classic!
