Hahah. Thanks for the compliment about the dog. Yes, the music is awful. However, it was released under "Creative Commons", so it was free to use. That was the main reason. Maybe I should re-edit it with something classical ;-)
Never be afraid of the dog. He will love the training and the testing of himself, for which he was breed. Not to attack, but to protect, these large dogs love and want to be challenged. I am working with my GSD and she is more loving, friendly and playfull than ever, even more so with kids. These dogs need and want the challenge to be trained.
Just don't be afraid, as they will know, and that is the killer.
i've always been scared of dogs no matter what breed! when a dog walks passed me out in the street i get the feelin it wants to go for me... even if its tryin to play with me, i've just never understood dogs... yet i've always wanted my own (especially a rotti)dog but probably will never be able to unless i can get over being scared of them somehow... anyone have any idea's how to?
You sound quite rational. It's all very well to be macho when its your own safety at stake and assume you can dominate the dog. But how would you feel if he harmed someone else? These dogs should be kept in kennels and used for a purpose. They were not bred to be lap dogs.
.rotts are one of the best dogs ever !they are perfect in many ways like being exellent family dogs and r great w kids yes they are protective, but with proper training are the best dogs.cockerspanials and chihuahua's BITE MORE people than rotts, sheperds, and pitbull . they get away with bad temperment bcuz they are so littl ,and just over looked.when rotts attack its because they are doing their job protecting some-one. not knowing something b4 you put it down just shows YOUR ignorance !
actually the cheesy music and effects were because the dog was having a REALLY bad working day. The awful music hides this embarrassing little fact...
Those are American variety Rottweilers. TOTALLY the opposite of a REAL German game-bred Rott.
Anyways, Look up the breed CA DE BOU. They are like Game Rotties on steroids, and with far more confident temperment.
