The reason it's called football not soccer is because you kick the ball with your foot. now that name makes sense to me. The thing is its called football or something similar in England and most european countries e.g. futbol etc, and these are the most watched leagues therefore it makes sense that everybody else sticks to the same name. the name that we used when we put together football as a game!
