I saw klaus Voorman give a talk a few years ago and he hated this song. When they went to Germany to promote it they had to dress as clowns and hated it even more.

@glassOnion I've actually got the video of that on VHS video tape "Rock And Roll ~ The Greatest Years 1967" They are all dressed as clowns with strings going up to the ceiling so they look as though they are puppets as well! Klaus seemed to be getting into the spirit of it, but you never can tell. I would up load if I knew how, but I can only upload audio.
