  • Sounds like they were inspired by vanilla fudge! RRReeeaaaalll SSSllloooowwww.

  • she's from my neck of the woods..bluegrass country..she rocks!

  • i think roberts dick is guiding him here...

i know mine would be ...

better off writing new lyrics for this music...whats the point of re hashing this stuff.

music is great and as for robbie...well hes just a dirty old man....good on him.

not much work here for alot of applause..not worthy.

  • What a find. From Caravan to Fairport Convention to Sandy Denny to Robert and Alison. Is it true he turned down Led Zep for her?

  • Alison is the star here...and far from new. She is the best musician in her type of music which is why everyone wants to play with her.

  • Robert and Allison sound amazing together, but I am not wild about taking the Zep songs and doing them in the bluegrass style...but love the two of them together.

  • @jhendrix1970 What a way to murder fucking great song.. Planty hang your head in shame...

  • I mean, it's not that this isn't good. It's just that it's not.. Zeppelin. Get Yoko off stage.

  • Robert, if you're going to go with Alison, go. But don't kill Led Zeppelin like this. This makes me want to vomit. Do your own fucking material. At least Jimmy and John Paul don't deny their past..

  • Zep, Rest In Peace.

  • IF you are really a Robert Plant fan then you should probably give Alison Krauss the same respect he did. She is a fantastic musician and vocalist. He learned a lot from her, and that makes him even cooler. His ego is not getting in the way of him learning more and more about his craft. She deserves a lot of respect and admiration just for standing next to him and holding her own. GO ALISON!

  • Couldn't have said it better myself. Krauss and Plant are two very respectable musicians. They both care more about the music than the money, and have always been that way.

  • Only one or two good songs on their album but their live performances were fucking the stuff music is made of. Oh, and Alison is sweet, humble and HOT.

  • Whoever thought to put these two voices together has one hell of an ear. They blend beautifully.

I love Zep and I'm not a big fan of Bluegrass but to all those people giving negative comments; if you can't hear the magic between these two you're musiclly retarded and you need to go back to sucking your thumb.

Or just go back to sucking.

Why are people so hostile toward unconventional versions of songs? Stop comparing it to what you already know and try to appreciate it for its originality.

  • Why would you ask such a dumbass question? Why WOULDN'T he?

  • yeah..I don't get it...zep is great...alison and union station are great...this is ...ok....some of theirs are pretty good...but I don't get the grammy accolades...its not up to the level of either zep or union statin...but more power to robert..!!...I'd do it if I were him...

  • Yeah this is great, why dont we just ask the Dixie Chicks to perform Iron Man,and Paranoid?

  • I think alot of people just dont get it! If you truly loved perfection in sound & harmony, you'd not be able to do anything except love these two! Together or seperate, these two have it!

  • why did he team up with her

  • When I watch this or any other video of them performing this in 2008 you can almost see him thinking about going back to Page and saying "stop auditioning other artists. Plant is back."

He is thinking about it. His most recent comments were that he's getting old and that the chances were slim!

  • ooh no no no. it misses the point.

  • She no doubt dug zepplin when she was a kid??????

  • She did apparently. In a BBC news interview she said how she couldn't believe it.

In her own words she couldn't allow herself to get excited on the phone because she was putting the baby to sleep. According to her she explained why she seemed underwhelmed to him the next day and then showed her excitement!

  • i love the plant/krauss duets in general. he's my favorite of all time, and she is a recent favorite female. my bf in hs was a dixie chick, but she is completely and totally lame compared to krauss who stuck with her bluegrass roots. and while pairing with stevie was smart for landslide, pairing with plant was so f*ing brilliant! love these two!!

  • i didn't like this at first, because it's so different and slow but after seeing them for the second time live on friday night in golden gate park, i'm finding myself hearing it playing over in my head, and it's growing on me.

  • i like them but i thing this song is pretty bad, especially comparing it to the original.

  • oww it burns my ears

plant should hav left this song alone

  • WHY CANT HE DO THIS WITH john paul jones jason bonham and jimmy page =[

  • He did that already! Go find the albums in any record store! Also none of them plays the fiddle like Stuart Duncan can!;)

  • pull yourself OUT of the past enjoy the NEW this chick is AWESOME

  • The fiddle on this song ROCKS.

  • really cool...lil slow for me but real nice..

  • awesome!

  • thanks for getting this one on film. excellent quality. hope someone got "down in the river to pray"
