@larrygentry No it was NOT. Francis Lai wrote the instrumental score for TV series Sins and Carly Simon and Jacob Brackman added the wonderful lyrics to it, especially for this tv-show. If the song was used in Torchlight (which is unknown to me) than so be it, but the song was written (and used) for Sins.

i love this song...i'm such an 80's soap fanatic and this song was dead on for the joan collins miniseries, sins...yes, i must admit that joan collins was a little too ripe for the part....it would have been better if they had used phoebe cates for at least part of it or even pamela sue martin or ana alicia...still the theme song is haunting and beautiful...truth be told...it is hard to be tender when your heart is broken..

One of the best songs from one of my favorite singers.

This was a big hit over here in The Netherlands in 1989. Funny thing is, Carly never knew this untill some fan mentioned this to here about 5 years ago! ;-)

Just listen to this beautifull, romantic song when you have a fight with your wife/girlfriend. And then you soften up, "what were we fighting about?" by the way......:-) It is NOT so hard to be tender!
