  • My Cousin Stutters As well He Gets So Frustrated When He Asks For Thing like Ordering Pizza By Phone or If Some One Does Something Nice For Him Just Saying Thank U Is A Challenge. When I Was Younger I Used To Stutter But I Would Stop If I Started Stuttering And I Would Start My Sentence Again.

  • I stutter with the opening word of a sentence and it gets me so mad, i could only imagine how it would feel to stutter every word in a sentence. Saying uh and slowing my breath usually helps me.

  • @afr126 its exactly the same for me, but i think before i speak i can control it, i feel so sorry for them

  • @GFRomaji mate what do you mean spit it as you can see they fucking stutter?

  • Just spit it out already, geez!

  • @GFRomaji hahahahahah made looooooooooool hahahahaha im on the floor

  • i too stammer since i was 7 yrs :(

  • I got really emotional while watching this. I have a mild stutter, and I know how scary it is to have to talk in front of people, or to anyone in general. A way I learned to cope with it is to pretend that I don't even have a stutter and just talk normally. It helps me have more confidence also.

  • This is bad, I just recently started stuttering, as the video shows on the start were the black guy asks for the time, im exactly like that. But its not so bad were he isnt able to say his own name. I feel it has to do something with confidence, atleast in my experience.. when im confident I can speak fine, but on times I get nervous (or just random times when I cant say im unconfident or something) I am stuck at pronouncing specific words and just hang at the first letter trying to pronounce it

  • أن لله في خلقه شؤون

  • ive been stamming for 22 years im 26 now

  • I stammer, I am 22 years old have been stammering since 5 years old, I want to overcome it but cant, been to some of the best clinics in the country and still stammer, sometimes i dont for months other times i do for ages, so I want to get a white board and write things down, I am going to try not talk for a while and see if not talking helps calm me down ! Its frustrating for my family, but they dont get the other side of it, how its eating me up inside. Might go to another course soon

  • i stuttered in 3rd grade a lot i did'nt want to raise my hand answear any questions or get up in front of the class i was scared that they would laugh at me so i took speech classes and i got better no more stuttering for me im happy and i hope they get better to like i did.

  • After watching this vid, I felt v.emotional, because I know how they feel cos I stutter too but it is getting better.

I believe the cause of it, is the nervousness & excitement of the 'topic' or sentence which you want to share with others, the brain will 'messed up' and will start to stutter. So my personal solution is try to keep myself as calm as possible to lower the tendency to stutter.

you can try it out by getting drunk( but not too drunk), you will not stutter bcos ur brain is 'relaxed

  • Omg

  • i want to meet Mudiaga and nathan....i want to hug these people....i tried on facebook but u people r not their...god bless u.....common god...help them...where r u...

  • i i i..have a stu stu stu ttering problem also. bu bu bu but ive learned to ma ma ma make fun of it inste te te ted of feeling bad. (thats how i would say it lol)

  • watching this video is no wonder that thousands of stutterers have committed suicide. Society in general ve a los stutterer as lepers, do not want it anywhere. This is a great misfortune.

  • Stuttering at the job interviews is hurting me badly...I have masters and bachelor degrees and the relevant skills, but I can say that the companies are reluctant to call me back after the interviews (face-to-face or telephone). I don't stutter at all talking to other people. I only do when talking to the interviewers, talking in front of many people, and delivering presentations at Uni. I want this to stop!! It's really2 frustrating and torturing! I feel Dumb!

  • @silvershop , my stuttering hurts my employment too , there is so much more to my personality but my stuttering keeps me inside :(

  • sorry but hes insprationall <3 x x x

  • I used to have a stutter real bad.. When I got nervous and tried to get something out really fast it would turn into a stutter .. Or if I said something over & over in my head and then said it .. It would turn into one.. It's so annoying .. I hate it

  • I got a vasectomy cuz I have a stutter I inherited from my mom and her family. It's always been a social handicap for me. So, I don't have or want kids of my own. I don't want to risk having them suffer through life being teased horribly like I did. It would break my heart!

I just wish others would do the same if they really want to stop the gene from spreading. Same thing goes for other inherited diseases and disorders. That's how you break the goddamn cycle!

  • Stuttering is a gift from God. Don't let it be a Barrier in your life. Accept it rather than push it away.. Everything's will be fine. That's what my old man told me.

  • @ItsaVision my bro slutter... it sucks dudde..when u cant expres ur thought ...and the worst thing is that u can be better then everyone smarter then everyone but this barrier doesnt let to move on...

  • @TheJuli1992

Dear juli.. Sorry if I offended you. I didn't mean it that way. I do stutter too.. sometimes I do and sometimes I don't but Mostly I do. I do know how it feels to be your brothers.

  • @TheJuli1992 exactly

  • @MrLifestudent That man is my dad, yes thats right im joannes sister. And he wasnt laughing at Joanne he was laughing at my brother before they started filming he was making noises! So dont criterzise people! YOU IDIOTIC FREAK! and by the way joanne is now getting straight A's and he stutter has started to go, she doesnt stutter much now!

  • was this 2006 documentary on channel 4?

  • @adanzed Yes it was. And that little girl is me!

I actually didn't realise these were on here and want to thank everyone for the supportive comments. I'm still amazed that people are still watching this. Thankfully my stammer got better, im just hoping that the other twos did aswell :)

  • I myself stammer, as a child it wasn't so much a problem, it's when i got to comprehensive school i suffered. Children can be really cruel and i was bullied, cause of this i played truant and never sat my exams. I'm 31 now and bullies don't bother me so much but having my confidence knocked down so badly i find it hard making new friends. People who don't have this problem are so lucky cause i would do anything to be able to speak freely.

  • it's everywhere!!!!! ( i stutter too)

phone calls suck...and i hate people.

    :o)

and someone should punch that kids dad for laughing at his own little girl.

  • @MrLifestudent Actually he was only laughing because my brother farted during filming....

But on a serious side, nobody should take it out on people because they've got a speaking issue. All of you haters suck, 2 people are complete douchbags

P.S. Im Joanne 5 years later

  • it's everywhere!!!!! ( i stutter too)

phone calls suck...and i hate people.

    :o)

  • These poor people. This is why I'm studying Communication Sciences & Disorders at university - hopefully I can make life a small bit easier for many people.

  • @glueyourfingers I am studying this field as well. I also hope to help others overcome their communication disorders as I have with my social anxiety. Not being able to express oneself is a lonely and discouraging place to be.

  • @glueyourfingers

you could do fuck-all and i think they all must be gassed

  • @thrashing666mainiac racist + honky = a creature that is even more heartless then the illuminati.....

    go eat a dick

  • @glueyourfingers where are you doing your course from and can you do it online please let me no thanx!!

  • @politicszbitch I highly doubt you can do it online. It takes a Master's degree which is 6 years of schooling. I'm doing it in Washington State at a university.

  • @glueyourfingers this is why us young people is going to change the world someday man hope u make it

  • I don't have a stutter, but have a different speech impediment, I can relate to the frusturatio expressed in this video. Espically on having to repeat myself.

  • I really feel for these people. I used to stammer when I was a kid, although not as bad, but still enough for people to notice. I have seemed to grow out of it now, but still tend to stammer when speaking a foreign language which is a nightmare for me and really knocks my confidence, thus making it worse.

  • i used to stutter when i was a kid, but slowly over time i lost it.

my family kept nagging at me and it worked!

  • hahahahahahaahah

  • @olyver102 your pathetic... one day you'll eventually have kids, how would you feel if your child had this problem?

  • @iH4x So your the basis of these accusations of me and other people with a stutter are your past experiences? Wow, I didn't realise everyone was the same person. But of course, it makes perfect sense, if one person can do it, then everyone must be able to cure at a drop of a hat.

Congratulations on overcoming it, honestly, but please do not think that because you can everyone should have hold the magic power to stop instantly, the world don't work like that Buddy.

  • @iH4x Hello mate, I'm Nathan, the one from this video. So you think it is hilarious? Watching me, and others like me, struggling every single day with this disability that not only completely destroys our self confidence but causes us physical pain in the form of stomach and neck cramps, a disability which I know for a fact has caused people to commit suicide, is hilarious to you then I really do feel sorry for you. You carry on like this then Im sure one day you will be the one who will suffer.

  • @iH4x you're a tool mate..good luck with the rest of your life

  • @iH4x yeah, its real funny watching people, in this case children in pain

  • what a fucking horrible show making them do this shit for the camera

  • Guys I'm thinking of forming a group with the name Stutter Club on Facebook. We can share our problems and solutions about this disorder we have. What you guys think?

  • its hard to watch this...

  • This is Truly heartbreaking....The guy only wishes to say his name !!!!!!!!

  • I have a minor stutter but I can control it by simply pausing or using a different word, I feel sorry for people who have uncontrollable stutters it must be really hard to live with.

  • I stutter too, but just in some cases, not really often. Mainly when I´m under stress, like in 6:20 when I present something. But I stuttered much more when I was younger. The doctor and medicine man helped me alot.

And I agree, people who speak freely don´t know what a gift that is.

  • hii guys m studying mechanical enginnering..........i too stammer.... in ma coll v need to giv lots of seminors in frnt of whole lot bunch of students.... which i couldnt do ..i do nt utter single word fr few mints in begining of speech--mind becms blanck..coz of that i lost ma grades... projects work etc.. i score well in therotical bt in practical spking i couldnt so ny1 help me out....... ma career is in Danger.......

  • for all the stutterers out there, let me help you out a little. try saying words like "hey" or "so" or "hi" before you say your sentence. if you stutter on h's or s's, try saying a word starting with a letter you dont stutter on. almost nobody stutters on every letter.

  • what is senior school? is that like college?

  • @c1rcu1tn3rd It Means High School

  • 9:00 lol i used the DREAD the register from year 4 all the way to early year 8. always started stammering and repeatng "um, my name is.." a thousand times

  • Im a sutter myself and I think the only way to prevent it is to have confidence in yourself. I still stutter though but if you stutter you are not alone :)

  • yo i beez stutterin since sum john shuved his cawk up mah throat....dis pimpin hookah business be out of control....nah mean home dawg...aight fools

  • This method worked for me very well so try it & PLEASE GIVE YOUR FEEDBACK!!. I 1st tried not to think at all when I'm gonna say somethin. It was hard so I totally changed my personality from being someone who analyses situation before acting to someone who acts directly to situations. Observe more than you analyse. That means very less of dreamin, thinkin & plannin. Don't think too much of anythin. When your free just do anythin that makes you think less. Also speak slower, it helps lil bit.

  • tartamudos!!

  • the worse part is when people say huh or ask u to repeat urself.

  • I feel sorry for the guy,he only wants to say his name but he cant do it.

  • im glad that i got a chance to watch this becuase grwing up with a stutter at 17 has been my biggest struggle even to say hello on the phone was a big struggle for me and i would even skip school so that i wouldnt have to do my drama lesson becuase no one in my school new how hard it was for me to even say a few words i thought it was a big problem that i have but to no that there are more people in the world with worse stuuters makes me feel better since i feel i am not on my own

  • man i feel really bad for this guy

  • ppl think stammers r fake and boring ppl......they r so fucking wrong !!

  • In these, one can often come into contact with many young people who stutter. It says a lot about modern speech therapies. However, there are great therapies out there. One can be found on naturaltherapyforstuttering. -c-o-m.

  • i just want to hug all of you stammers..

  • I don't normally stutter at home but I realised how severe it was when I was doing my driving exam & I can barely say a word to the examiner next to me. I know I didn't get hold of my nerves but that's the hardest thing. You think your cool but you still stutter. But try this guys, its called diaphragmatic breathing. Wiki it, it helped me lil bit.

  • omfg i feel sorry for that guy trying to book the appointment

  • 1 person is apparently blind and epically missed the like button.

  • [1] Take a pair of headphone WITH a microphone [2] Set your audio recording software to AUDIO [3] adjust up the recording volume so that when you speak you are ale to hear your own voice feedback slightly in your ear [4]READ ALOUD. Read anything, saying , as long as you can hear your own voice.

  • i also stutter, but mines is contrlable but i try my best i know it'sHARD, so to all of u that stutter i feel u i understand what you are going thru but one day it will come the a end Amen.

  • This is the honest truth, like the girl in the beginning says. "If I didn't stammer [stutter], I could do anything." I don't stutter, but I have a speech impediment which sometimes prevents me from saying words that start with vowels. And it forces me to quickly construct a new sentence, to get around the upcoming word (Since I know, mentally, which word is going to cause a problem). And to have that speech impediment is like having these HUGE chains.

  • @GeekingForJesus Those of you who can speak freely really DON'T even know what a gift that is. You really don't know, until you have a speech impediment.

  • @GeekingForJesus I don't have a speech impediment. I am so glad I don't. I hope they find some sort of cure for this disorder. I sympathize for everyone with stuttering problems.

  • @claytonjaros I'm beginning to learn about computer programming. I decided yesterday that I was going to spend 4+ hours a day studying C++ and other programming languages for the next few months, if not years. My dream is to start my own technology business that will one day rival those of Google and Microsoft. By the time I'm finished, I'll make a product that can cure it. I'll make that product so cheap that even the homeless will be able to speak without error.

  • @GeekingForJesus I wish you all the luck, bud!! :)

  • @GeekingForJesus Speaking "freely" is not a gift; I'm sorry you see it that way.

  • @GeekingForJesus That's why I'd like to dedicate some of my life to helping stammer-ers.

I don't know why really, I just know I feel like there should be a change.

  • @GeekingForJesus this is really frustating, in my shool ppl make fun of me :(

  • @GeekingForJesus and im 16, just think for a moment how are my days in high school

  • @deadm4u I remember. My speech impediment has greatly shrunk, however. With my recent job, I have to speak to a lot of customers. And because I chose to press on through the difficulties of having to speak in this job, I have also been able to overcome my impediment by realizing that I AM able to speak. I just needed to show myself I could, build confidence in my speech, and voila!

  • I usually get stuck on words such like: I, I'll, what, when, how, and why.

  • @danecook321 same here on some parts. i dont stutter on h words though, but i stutter like a bitch on d's

  • if that dude standin on the side of him wasnt a new reporter or somethin like that....he know he coulda helped that guy ask that simple question. that has to be sooo embarrassing cuz i stutter a little sometimes and even that shit is fucked up.....i can only imagine how people who have serious problems feel....

  • The main thing is to look for a cure! Stay hungry, don't settle. Keep looking and write me back! Thanks!

  • I hate having a stammer it make me life so fucking hard

  • Can someone tell me the best thing against stuttering, it ruined my life. It would made my life.

  • @TurkishRapTube look up "stutter earpiece" - the SpeechEasy earpiece was on ABC news ... I know there are other devices really similar to that

....that maybe could help - I haven't used it

    good luck :)

  • @tyrannosauruser i did test it, it's too expensive but it helps a little yes.

  • I couldnt imagine going through that! how sad... i would never laugh at someone with this hardship!

  • I couldnt imagine having to go through that. I feel so bad him. torture!

  • does anyone else here have situational stuttering? sometimes I can be completely fluent and then other times its impossible to get out, it depends on the situation/people I'm with

  • @ayram617 i have situation stuttering and i hate it

  • @vince271121 its off and on for me, lately its been terrible

  • If I meet someone who stutters, I will kindly bring out a paper and pen and let him write on it. Since I'm sure they find it more convenient and less tiring than trying to speak.

  • @92397658 That is actually completely humiliating. For me at least, I would feel like I cannot speak so now I need to write down my thoughts.

  • @canmoore Well, the world is a cruel one. If the person was ever in a rush, he won't wait for you to finish your sentence. Trust me. True, but painful. I know. So why not just put it down on paper?

  • and another thing, when mudiarga said the most annoying thing about a stammer is,he knows wht he wants to say but it wont come out, thats my top frustration about a stammer, that shits annoying hahaaahahaah

  • Most painful phone conversation ever. That sucks =\

  • i had severe stuttering when i was very young, like as soon i learnt to talk, i saw a brilliant doctor and overcame it in a matter of weeks, but im still hard to talk to because of other speaking problems

  • These tips will help you become more aware of your speaking manner:

Before you begin to speak, think about the words you want to use.

Think about what you want to say before you open your mouth.

Use the pause as an effective technique. Work hard at replacing this verbal clutter with a simple pause, and during these short pauses allow your mind to catch up and think about what you want to say next. .

  • I feel like stuttering is somehow related to selective mutism. I feel so bad for these people. Speech therapist is one career I am considering.

  • Whatever ass hole put a thumbs down is a Heartless bitch :/

  • i think schools need to be more aware of this... school was hell for me. and i'm sure it was for anyone else with a stutter, too. then i tried to go back to speech therapy when i was 12, and they refused me because i was too old. now i'm 19 and have a baby on the way, and theres no way in hell i'm going to be able to call the doctors and make an appointment if i need too. >_<

  • @dtp20044 This video is not funny at all, but it's 10 times funnier than you are. Couldn't even come up with something original. Not the sharpest of pins are you?

  • @dtp20044 stop faking that you stammer looser its not funny you are the most heart less person in the world u dont know how those ppl feel about stammering

  • @dtp20044 whats so funny about that mate?

  • My theory is that a person who stutters or "stammers" as they call it in Great Britain, is a very compassionate and intelligent person.

  • My theory is that a person who stutters or "stammers" as they call it in Great Britain, is a very compassionate and intelligent person. And they even well may be more compassionate and more intelligent than a person who doesn't stutter.

  • @MrHotgirllover17

I think because we suffer hardships and trouble on a daily basis and that makes us reach out to others more to make ourselves feel better.

  • Another stuttering case here. But I've managed to escape it in some situations. The 1 very effective way told to me by a friend was to talk in front of the mirror whenever I'm on the phone. REMEMBER TO CONCENTRATE ON THE MOVEMENT OF YOUR LIPS on the mirror. 2ndly you make take few minutes to get used to it. Don't give up. Sadly this only helps wherever there's a mirror or some semi-reflective glasses. I'm gonna try a new method called diaphragmatic breathing. I'll tell if it works. Wish me luck

  • =( dam bro i stutter to i feel ur pain thts noot kool try talking w. an accent or something im deff postin a cople videos on this cause my stutter got alot bttr if i cant get my camera to work add me for some tips guys

  • Hi! i have the same problem like this people...i realize if you read books it makes sense to your speach....Sorry for bad English

  • Hello. Ive been stuttering for about 10 years, and im 17 years old. One way that helps me not stutter is if i talk in a slight sing-song kind of way. Whenever i rap or sing, my friends and family say that i never stutter. idk why, but that helps me go through it. Hope that helps :)

  • @DrCooper1992 Hello Hi, I started 2 years back, Today I just received my Enlistment letter from the army, Going in around September, I would love to try your sing-song methods, but i would afraid that the Sir's would thought that I'm making a fool out of them.

Yea, When we sing, we never stutter.

  • @Kirohikaru dude same here i want to become a navy seal one day but mine is not that bad or a para commando

  • @Kirohikaru Good luck! I wish to enlist in Air Force WHen i turn 18.

  • I have similar problems with Mudiaga, Same dream, passion, same problem.

Army is coming up, compulsory for me in my country, but I'm afraid to go, Thinking of those things that's gonna stop me.

  • @Kirohikaru - Ive been thinking about going into the Military Services too and i have a bad stutter too. Idk how bad it will be, but good luck with your Army :) Read my post i just made above yours, and that should help too.
