  • You will never truly appreciate music until you can stop being so judgmental and one-eyed and trying to make comparisons between grown women, children and old bearded men. Just listen, appreciate and enjoy. We are all entitled to our favorite but that doesn't give any of us the right to insult other singers. If we have nothing nice to say, we shouldn't say anything - I'm sure all of our mother's taught us that. Learn to appreciate diversity and appreciate talent in all its forms.

  • I think you need to see her perform live. I saw her in Portland Oregon twice and her shows are GREAT. When she sings Nessun Dorma and hits that high note I saw more people cry or dab their eyes. It was truly one of the best music moments I have ever had. Somewhere here on utube someone has mixed her's and Pavarotti's version of this song, except one one small moment of mixing it, it is fantastic.

  • Absolutely flawless, in my opinion.

  • Amazing!

  • Passion and heart.

  • wouldnt go so far as to say she screams, but i also certainly would not say she has a powerful voice by any stretch.tiny.i personally know dozens of nobodies with ten times the voice.but..oh yeah!who is she married to?its all who u know.and the millions who tune intobrightman and il divo for their fix of high culture simply dont have a clue.one final word:while the voice is at best inoffensive, her choice of repertoire, written for a big tenor voice, just shows poor taste and a cash in mentality.

  • AWESTRUCK!!!!

  • Brings tears to my eyes... every time!

  • She's ok but her pronounciation is horrible..... This song is meant for a Tenor and it obviously shows.

  • This is bringing me chills...wow incredible

  • OMG! I Work In A West End Theatre And I've Met Sarah Face To Face Twice!!! I Love Her Soooo Much But Didnt Have The Strength To Say A Word With Her ;)...What Show Is That? I Have The HAREM World Tour DVD...But Where This Performance Comes From? Thank U!

  • @tonixx28 This one is from her La Luna DVD and I highly recommend it.

  • @Gremoful Sorry. That's just one opinion.

  • No one sleeps! No one sleeps!Even you, oh princess,in your cold room, look at the stars that tremble with love and hope! But my mysteryit is locked in me.And my name,no one will know! No, no!On your mouthI will say it,when the lightwill shine! And my kiss will break the silence, that makes you mine!choir:His name no one will know...And we shall have, alas, to die, to die...! Disperse, o night! Vanish, oh stars!Vanish, oh stars! At daybreak, I will win! I will win! I will win!

  • I think it's in poor taste for a woman to do this aria. sing something a woman would sing, instead of a man's love song for pete's sake.

and yes, she was sharp in some places, to add insult to injury.

  • PAVAROTTI IS SMILEING DOWN ON YOU SARAH, YOU ARE AN ANGEL ON EARTH AND ONE DAY YOU AND THE MAESTRO LUCIANO WILL BE SINGING FOR GOD AND ALL THE ANGEL'S FOR ALL ETERNITY .IT WILL BE A SAD DAY ON EARTH BUT A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN HEAVEN,I HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE ONE DAY,MY WIFE AND I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

  • I love her! She is an angel, she is not human! God, she is amazing, voice of an angel, looks like a godess! This is why she is the World's Biggest Selling Soprano of All Timen! THIS IS WHY! <3 <3 <3

  • This is one of the BEST renditions of Nessun Dorma I've ever heard!! It even rivals Pavarotti and Bjorling, and they are 2 of the best tenors ever. This is why Sarah Brightman is one of my favorite singers ever.

  • What in the world?? They made her look like the Virgin of Guadalupe! Her voice is AMAZING, though.

  • HASTA Q NO ESCUCHE EL FINAL NO PODIA CREER SI ERA CAPAZ D LLEGAR A SEMEJANTES TONOS! INCREIBLEEEEE!!

  • @grumpyotter No song is out of range for Sarah Brightman. She can sing any song ever written, and usually better than anyone else.

  • @antilibercrat That song is designed for a tenor. While her voice is lovely in her own range, to sing Nessun Dorma--a song of a man's love for a woman -- "Let no one sleep until I find her?" -- sounds silly.

  • @grumpyotter it is obvious you no nothing about this ARIA or the OPERA or the man who wrote it , and you definitely don't understand ITALIAN TRANSLATION ,you need to do your homework before you make a fool out of yourself again,CAPISCE?

  • Comment removed

  • @grumpyotter tell that to the 100.000.000 people who bought her albums, the only thing that SUCKS is your ignorance and your tone deafness of MUSIC. but you know the old saying IGNORANCE IS BLISS so you muut br in heaven being so stupid and envious.so to you i say VAFFANCULO you TESTA DI CAZZO

  • EXCELLENT

  • Sarah ist ein Engel !

  • 50 persone non sanno cantare! =p

  • I love anyone who sings this song <3 Sarah is so lovely to hear :)

  • like 15-17 sec note .....im at a loss

  • This song is extremely hard to sing!!!

  • SUPER! WITH EGG!

  • if she were able to sing "Woman in Love" as good as Barbara Streissand or better; then Sarah would be the best female singer ever.

  • Pavarotti se la garcha de parado!!!

  • beautiful, but if I'm honest I preferred her in Hot Gossip.

  • The world will soon see 14 year old Victoria Fragomeni!!

  • Beautiful!! what control...take a look at the my link, and please comment

  • Not an expert nor a trained experienced ear when it comes to opera. But I can say that I much prefer little Jackie Evancho singing this song. Brightman has an incredibly powerful voice, but the only thing I felt listening to her sing this was an odd physical discomfort. Evancho gives me goosebumps and joy.

  • @amoom0 i just saw her on dvr from agt finale..... that girl is possessed

  • Nessum Dorma is sang by the Prince at the Opera, as a Tenor. But who cares.

  • Sarah screams. She is ordinary. Nothing compared with Maria, Montserrat, Luciano (who sings perfectly that aria). But who am I? Just someone who listened opera all the life. Well, that's just my opinion.

  • @lecaol I don't think she really "screams" (like many sopranos she has a tendency to screech from time to time), but this is one of the few aria's she doesn't do as well as others. But its still good. I love Sarah because of her magnificent efforts to bring real music to the masses. Maybe if more in the Opera world acted as she did even more young people would fall in love with such music. I think her efforts to bring opera into the homes of the mainstream is nothing short of commendable.

  • @ohmixmaster Well, you are right. You are absolutely right.

  • @lecaol Definitely a case of GMTA...:))

  • @lecaol Remember Phantom of the Opera? She starred in that one, so that makes her an opera singer! If you think she's screaming, then you need to get your ears checked. And according to you, everyone who is not an opera singer is merely ordinary? What kind of logic is that?

  • @lecaol She screams? In 2000, she sold more records than Elton John and the Rolling Stones, becoming America's highest-selling and top touring British artist, and that does not account for the millions of records she sold before and after, so I guess MILLIONS love to hear her scream :0)

  • @Elise1214 You're right.

  • @lecaol Sarah is the worlds biggest selling soprano and has 180 gold and platinum awards in 38 countries. she also was the first artist to perform twice at the olympics.

  • Beautiful kiddo.

  • Some people do not even write in English and over criticize them, an important notice, learn to read and write and then come to criticize such an artist's career if it lasts for something, do not you think?

  • This woman is absolutely flawless.

  • i love dis dong i fill sad but inside i'm happy?

  • she suck.....

  • The Angel of Music.

    My Favorite Female Singer.

  • Meu deus!

  • Fantastic <3

  • Not a female song, but still its pretty damn good.

  • She's a living legend with the voice of an angel, and the rest of you who hates her for no appearant reason should just rot and die in a corner. Go do some research about what Nessun Dorma is all about, before you give away your worthless comments.

  • @asakurakaoru No apperant reason? Tiny voice even if amplified by microphone (and opera singers never use it, her body should be her microphone), bad breath control, no emotions, wrong aria for her voice that is a light coloratura soprano voice while this aria demands a dramatic voice (it doesn't matter this is a tenor aria, it's an aria for a dramatic tenor, if a soprano wants to sing it I at least expect her to be a dramatic soprano with a big voice!). You fans don't want to see the reasons.

  • @3F93 I see your point. She used to sing with much stronger voice in her prime, despite that I still love her today. Besides, this is not opera performance, it is concert, very big concert. So, it is definitely OK to use microphone.

  • @3F93 build a bridge and get over it...don't like it, don't watch it. Quite simple actually.

  • @visualice Then I can watch it and write a comment only if I like it? Get a brain and a music taste and knowledge, it would be more helpful than my bridge.

  • @3F93 Sure I don't know technique but I believe what you say about it. Face it: u'r just another opera fan who thinks SB is blasphemous. Music was written for everyone. Who says a woman can't sing a man's aria however she wants. It's called interpretation. You die-hards love to tear Sarah down, but I think you should be thanking her: she brought light and life to your dank, dying, elitist world and made it accessible to those who, before her, might not have given a rat's turd about Puccini.

  • @amusedbygod LOL....I like how you write this about Sarah when you say the opposite for me.

  • @GetinHighOnLife When I say 'however she wants', I'm not talking about her pronunciations of the text. I'm talking about the delivery of the aria which is opened to being broken down and rearranged. If she were throwing pronouns all over the place because she didn't learn the text properly, then I would criticize her as well. I've blasted your diction and ignorance of the text. I'm sure Sarah studies the text with experts before she records and publishes. I didn't say the opposite for Sarah.

  • @amusedbygod Even Di Stefano, who was one of the most famous tenors of the 20th century, sounded wrong in the role of Calaf, since his voice was tiny and light, unlike Corelli's or Del Monaco's. Brightman sings arias from verismo (like "O mio babbino caro") because she doesn't master the technique to do coloratura and harder things, and she knows her audience doesn't know opera music and can't recognize she is totally out of place and still technically awful.

  • @3F93 I'm not disputing ur critique of her lack of technique, which is the loaded word here. But her fans are not opera fans. Hers are theatre fans, fans who don't care about the grinding cogs of, there's that word again, technique. It's important if you want to sing at the Met. It's important if you want to dance the already-choreographed-technically-important 'Swan Lake'. But y can't a piece be re-imagined? You're right: this is not opera where the rules can't be changed.

  • @amusedbygod Lets hear you sing kiddo.Put it up on you tube and give us a laugh.if we dont laugh and enjoy, you will have proved your piont.

  • @princeofswine What are you talking about? I love and was praising Sarah.

  • @amusedbygod I have made a mistake and bow down to your reverance and ask your forgiveness.I should be taken out whipped and beaten for the insult to your goodself,my eyes taken,my arms and legs torn off and scattered to the four corners of this land,my innards scooped out of my body and given to the beasts of the field,my body cut up and buried in the sand of the shore where the tide ebbs twice in every twenty four hours.

You can then kill me or kick me in the nuts and call it a day.ha ha

  • @GetinHighOnLife I want us to be friends. I don't want to be in a stupid Youtube war. You have talent and I want you to perfect it, but you must care about the words also or sing a vocalise or rewrite them --that's an even better idea. Don't sing words you can't pronounce; rewrite them. I am a poet. I can help you. We can collaborate.

  • @amusedbygod Well said!!!!

  • @amusedbygod In baroque music the travesti is quite normal, as the male roles were written for castrati with high voices and often nowadays are performed by women, that's not the point. The point is the kind of music and the voice that it requieres: Nessun Dorma is a Calaf's aria, dramatic tenor, because you need the dark and powerful voice to explain the feelings of that character... Brightman is a coloratura soprano, at least she should keep away from verismo and dramatic roles like Puccini's.

  • @3F93 OK you know technique, great, but this is not opera. This is not an excerpt of Turandot. This is an aria from that, redone in Sarah's vision. She doesn't call herself an opera singer. Listen to Filippa Giordano sing her rendition of this aria. It's beautiful and even further away from the technique for which it was written. Don't get me wrong, I respect technique, but you can't keep all that beautiful music to yourselves.

  • @amusedbygod The only thing that is not opera here is Brightman, since the music is Puccini's and the lyrics from the libretto that Giuseppe Adami wrote for him. If you want this beautiful music, take singers who can jo justice to it! If Maria Callas were alive nowadays she would still be an opera singer, she wouldn't attempt to scream in a metal band. :P

  • @3F93 Are you saying music can't be re-imagined?! It's done all the time. Pop can become classical & vice versa, depending upon the arrangement. Don't be so closed-minded. Music is for everyone! There's no way of knowing what she'd be doing if Callas were alive. Is it really that wrong for a technically-challenged singer to touch opera music or are you ppl really upset becuz SB let normal ppl in2 your secret- door, behind-the-bookshelf, masqueraded world? Sorry I had to use all my characters lol

  • you dont know what you are talking about and then you shouldent make a comment

shes one of the best female singers in the world so go fu*k yourself

  • You are so fucking stupid and I hope you die in a fire for censoring your own comments you fucking faggot.

Also, you should really consider removing that tampon that you have apparently rammed home in your vagina.

  • seriously what is your problem?

you wished you had a little part of Brightman's talent

  • this song is beautiful...and if u dont know what it means u shouldn't say bad things about it!!! Thnks for the download~

  • Que preciosa músicaaaaaaa quien la creo???

  • @manuelbond007 pavarotti

  • why do you hate her ??

  • Sarah Brightman is the female counterpart of Luciano Pavarotti, they are the 2 greatest opera singers EVER. She is to opera music what Michelangelo is to wall art.

  • I ball my eyes out every time I watch this. This, in the angel's voice.

  • wooow

    voice from skys

  • schiffosooooooo!!!!

  • Giacomo Pucini !!!

    Amazing!!!

  • Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma! Ma il mio mistero è chiuso in me, Il nome mio nessun saprà!, no, no Sulla tua bocca lo dirò!... (Puccini: Quando la luce splenderà!) Quando la luce splenderà, (Puccini:No, no, Sulla tua bocca lo dirò) Ed il mio bacio scioglierà il silenzio Che ti fa mia!... Dilegua, o notte!... Tramontate, stelle! Tramontate, stelle!...
  • Come to me Angel of Music

Sing to me Angel of Music

  • Another Amazing Brightman performance.

  • for christ sake... why donˇt you people just listen to the MUSIC!....

  • that dress is too long for her.

  • the intention of and the emotions behind this song, didn't get transported imo. I doubt any female could express that though.

  • This was originally written for tenor, if I'm not mistaken. Sarah pulls it off remarkably. This performance gives me chills! She is the best!!!!

  • "She has no power in her voice" -

"Ho ha ho ho ha ha..." (*with echoing sound heard as much in one's mind as in one's ears, like God laughing in the presence of a mortal*)

Maybe you need to go get your GED before you think about posting such slop again.

  • Yo jongreek - go sing this and record it and post it on youtube, then we can make fun of your lack of intellect and talent. I dare you.

  • Comment removed

  • Thank Heaven for the great gift of limiting the professional performance to a few. Imagine, if you will, every one who sings in the shower and admires his/her own voice, coming out with an album; the world is full of just a few of those narscistics. Please do not dare any one to sing.

  • Well the "wobbly" sound in her voice is called vibrato. Which is acceptable in Opera. In order to sing Opera you have to use vibrato.

  • Comment removed

  • hate to say it, but hes comepletely right, all that make up and bug dress is just a distraction

  • Some people said that her weight loss affected her voice. I totally disagree. She sounds as great as always. Something is charmingly different about the way she projects her voice. Her first song that I listened to is Harem. I thought she was good in that song, but normal. I must say I didn't know the true Sarah Brightman until I listened to Time To Say Goodbye. :3

  • You are soooooooooo right!

  • Beautiful!

  • Just does not get much better than this. What a spine tingling performance.

  • Just unique

  • My favourite rendition of that song! Love her voice!

  • Thnaks for posting this. as Khamikins mentionned, many people have sung this beautiful piece. If you are looking for another fine performance, listen to Maria Callas, here on youtube. Amazing voice as well.

  • Good lord! the pipes on that woman! i was totally blown away! damn... the three tenors have to watch out for this one!

  • Arguably perhaps the greatest singer who has ever lived. Definitely the Angel of Music.

  • @antilibercrat have you heard Maria Callas?

  • @antilibercrat Yeah--if only she would stop trying to sing songs so out of her range.

  • WOW, what a stunning, breath-taking performance!!! Go Sarah!

  • Now i know where did Greg Pretchard get his inspiration from ^^,

  • A women singing this is kinda weird, but yeah... cool xD

  • No one sings this beautiful aria any finer than Sarah Brightman--male or female. Her range and command of her voice are awesome and a true pleasure to hear.

  • @AnneVNorskog1 ever heard of luciano pavarotti, placido domingo, jose carerras, or bocelli?

  • @AnneVNorskog1 I KNOW Barbara Padilla could sing this better! Remember her from America's Got Talent in 2009? She nearly WON that competition!

  • Ohhhh My God .... very very very good

  • MANY women ahve sung this. Once it's performed well, it doesn't matter

  • today im going to her concert here in Lima Peru!

It's going to be an unforgetable day : )

  • lovely!!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely horrific...wonder if Placido Domingo or some other tenor should start doing O mio Babbino Caro...bad interpretation, bad idea.

  • I'd actually like to hear that. Why not?

  • Spot on Press7625! Could not have put it better...:-)

  • good call.

  • I dont like that "version".

  • she looks stunning and she vowels to much :D

  • gustaria me that would vicitaran my video of photo of Sara brightman as the legendary smiling Teresa nº the 1 of claymore video is called claymore teresa sonriente nº 1 mejorada lvl 2

  • she's great!

  • I love how fearless she is - keeps on creating beautiful interpretations in spite of the idiots who tear her down. Let her sing a man's song or whatever she wants!

  • 1000 thumbs up to you!

  • I listen ND from Pavarotti & Co and I am happy now to find a female version of this song.

    Great!

  • wow

  • I saw her yesterday live in concert singing nessun dorma and she looked like a queen in that giant white dress and that last hight note sounded like heaven

  • I saw her 10 days ago too, and since i've been listening to her again and again, i was like ten meters from the stage and she was just great... i mean it was so beautiful, there were people crying, she has the greatest voice i've ever heard... And even if this song was written for men people i think she does it really great... everybody at the end of this song, the phantom of the opera, time to say goodbye and question of honour were standing...

  • where was that? i saw her in monterrey, mexico

  • En el AUDITORIO NACIONAL... excelente!

  • simplemente la mejorr

    te amo divaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • She's lip-synching

  • its pretty, but this is really supposed to be for a guys singing...

  • i agree

  • Super Diva...She sang like an angel. God Bless

  • DIVA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just love this woman! She's beautiful and has a voice that is stunning.

  • so beautiful ...song and this lady :*

  • She sings like an angel well done

  • Oh god!Thankyou

  • What an ugly micro.
