@PRoJECtEtrnal It doesn't matter it's just the streets just follow people around. Some people can speak at least a little English so you could probably manage, of course speaking Japanese would be easiest though.

What would be the consequences for you if you get caught by the police? Are there risks of being sent back to the states or having your work visa confiscated?

I'm curious to know because I'm considering getting a work visa there to teach english and might want to go on some occasional "night excursions"...

@pkim87 Yea just depends on the cop. Could get ticketed or get my car impounded/arrested. I am pretty sure if that were to happen I would lose my visa and have to return to the states.
