In 1980, when I was born, my mom could have walked to an abortion clinic and gotten rid of me because life was going to be very hard. It turned out to be very hard. My parents married, had another child and then divorced when I was 5. My mother cried a lot.

I think most people that are extremly against abortions never been raped and then got pregnant, I don't think that they actually understand how much pain someone actually can feel. As I feel now I would never go through an abortion if I got pregnant and I was responsible for it. But raped women SHOULD NEVER have to feel even more bad about themselves than they already do. Making people see what abortion really is or not, you seem to forget there's a life with feelings behind that new life too.

I have said here many times that I am against 2nd & 3rd trimester abortions. Not so much so to storm the white house or even to fight against. I would vote for a leader that would keep 1st tri legal but try to pass against 2nd & 3rd.

Listen, I agree that abortions (I still don't think it's murder), but we don't need to see graphic images of dead fetuses and we shouldn't make the people who choose to have an abortion feel worse about themselves, because having an abortion is never an easy decision. We are still animals, we still need sex, yet we no longer want the commitment, well some do and I respect that, but the majority don't. My friends got pregnant at 15. Now one girl had her child, which was taken away from her because she is an addicted. She is 6 months pregnant again and is still using. Another friend didn't want to bring a child into the world like this, and she terminated, at 5 weeks, when you take 2 pills. She has since turned her life around, an is off to university.

In 1980, when I was born, my mom could have walked to an abortion clinic and gotten rid of me because life was going to be very hard. It turned out to be very hard. My parents married, had another child and then divorced when I was 5. My mother cried a lot.

Life is not perfect. Everyone has different opinions. Abortions are not pleasant, and women do not go through them because they like them. they have abortions because there is no last resort. If the woman cannot care for the baby, is it right to bring it into a world where there is poverty EVERYWHERE, so many children up for adoption already and a food crisis? some religion always seems to criticise, why can't they just agree with contraception? Then no life would be formed in the first place.

First off our society should not be teaching kids that condoms and other forms of contraception is "safe sex". Because it is completely false. HPV is spread by having sex with more then one person. I think most people that are extremly against abortions never been raped and then got pregnant, I don't think that they actually understand how much pain someone actually can feel. As I feel now I would never go through an abortion if I got pregnant and I was responsible for it. But raped women SHOULD NEVER have to feel even more bad about themselves than they already do. Making people see what abortion really is or not, you seem to forget there's a life with feelings behind that new life too.

Only reason for my period to stop was because I was so ill and stressed that my body started to shut down. I've met more than 2 women in group therapy about these things and I can tell you that i've seen both sides of the story. I don't say that you HAVE to do an abortion, but there should be a healthy and secure way of doing one if you are raped and then get pregnant. You are giving your boys mixed signals if you are telling them that contraception and abortion are ok and then trying to teach them to respect women.
You can't respect a woman but not respect her natural fertility. Teach them to wait until marriage and learn their wife's fertility cycle, and her temperature, cervix and mucus signs that indicate that she is fertile. If you don't think you should have a kid then you abstain from sex for those few days.

You say that a woman has the right to get an abortion. An abortion means that another human being will die. By saying that a woman has the right to have an abortion you are saying that a woman has rights over another human being.
Slave owners believed the same thing and our country lived with legalized slavery. Since a person does not poses another person, Your rights end where someone else's start. You can not kill a baby because it is convenient for you, nor can you own a slave.

Outside the womb, a baby CAN sustain life with help. THERE IS NO HELP for a fetus to sustain life outside the womb for the first trimester. TRUST ME ON THIS as I have had 3 miscarriages - one at almost 13 weeks.
I think a 1st trimester cut-off is a VERY FAIR compromise for both sides of this argument as it is CERTAIN a fetus could not survive.
Scientific FACTS are always that until someone comes along and DIS-PROVES it. Of course.

You don't hear of people converting from pro life to pro choice. You only hear of conversions the other way. Why? It is because our country goes after the children. So you believe that 13 weeks is a good cutoff date, but the abortion doctor in your town might think it's ok up until before birth. Or the College professor might think it is ok up until the first 3 months after birth.

I have said here many times that I am against 2nd & 3rd trimester abortions. Not so much so to storm the white house or even to fight against. I would vote for a leader that would keep 1st tri legal but try to pass against 2nd & 3rd.
There are ALWAYS shades of grey and room for compromise. Most pro-choicers agree that if the woman's life is in danger, they would be okay with an abortion, thus even for THAT instance placing more value on the woman's than the fetus's life.

You could read a book written by Dr. Lionel Tiger, an oddly pro choice professor at Rutgers university who has done studies on the effects of the contraceptive pill in monkey tribes. It turns out that the females start fighting, the males start only molesting the females and having sex with the other males. But those are monkeys who live by nature alone and we are humans who have reason so I'm sure the pill doesn't effect us the same way. Does it?

You still have your period sometimes right? Well sometimes that egg may have been fertilized but the chemicals you put in your body has caused you to miscarry. Ask your OB about it. That's another FACT that Planned Parenthood doesn't want women to know.

Well I've spoken with many women who are so appalled by this when they first hear about that they tell me I'm lying.

Also the more women who use contraception the more abortion will be "needed" Abortionists aren't stupid. They know that contraception isn't 100% effective. So they make money off of the contraception and the abortion.
I don't see any abortion doctors protesting pornography either. And yet porn is directly linked to rape.

There's the spread of HPV because of condoms. People have been told time and time again that condoms= save sex, well that turned out to be bunk. I think HPV is now the largest STD.

I'm not surprised by this. The statistics prove the logical conclusion. The more people have sex with multiple partners the more STDs will spread.

Actually, they say "safer" sex and there usually is a disclaimer clause that some std's like herpes and HPV can still be spread even with a condom. You should ALWAYS know your partner and their medical status, and if you CHOOSE to play Russian Roulette, well then there are consequences.
You cannot rule the world with YOUR beliefs.
What about mormans BELIEVING in polygamy? Why is their religion wrong and yours is right? answer: both are RIGHT...for each individual.

I am against polygamy.
That said, I think the US is going to allow polygamy in the next 10 years. We have already started the ball rolling. If people consent then who are we to stop them. That is what happens in the dictatorship of relativism people make up lifestyles that are harmful for themselves and society but yet they say it is ok because everyone consents. Or it's My truth. Or it's my lifestyle choice.

Well then obviously those actions were wrong. But you shouldn't dwell on them. Just get tested before you get married, that's why Catholics build hospitals and advance science and medicine, so they can help people.
As for those who cheat, well it is breaking the vow of marriage. It's up to the faithful person to either leave or stay. I would leave. And I know my wife would leave me. We're not worried about cheating though.

Alveda had an abortion and regretted it. Listen, I agree that abortions (I still don't think it's murder), but we don't need to see graphic images of dead fetuses and we shouldn't make the people who choose to have an abortion feel worse about themselves, because having an abortion is never an easy decision. Besides, at least one good thing comes out of abortions, stem cell research, which can help save actual lives.

I think some have remorse and some don't. But I think some of the remorse is more for the "what if". The potential life that is now gone.
I aborted my 12-week-fetus (D&C) as it was not growing properly and miscarriage was inevetible. I *CHOSE* not to sit and wait for the fetus to die and then come out of me.
THAT would have been far more traumatic.
I feel no guilt - only sad for the child I will never know.
If abortion were illegal, I would not have had this choice.

Your fetus was not an it. Your fetus was a he or a she and I'm sorry for your loss. My baby girl is now 1 month old. The ultrasound video of her at 11 weeks shows her jumping and stretching her arms and legs. Se was a human at the moment of conception even if she was only a couple of cells they were human cells. Neither a sperm nor an egg can develop on their own but once they unite there is a human being. It was your womb but your baby's body.

I have worked on videos for a Perinatal Hospice. The death of a child is very traumatic. I will be posting one of the videos soon. The video caused me to cry in front of the people I was watching it with.
I understand the suffering and why someone would choose abortion but it doesn't change the fact that abortion is wrong and no body has the right to kill another human being for utilitarian purposes. My words might make you mad but they are not intended to.
