wooo go rocky! im thinkin about getting a boxer for a friend for my jrt but im so worried about them getting cancer....it really does keep me awake lol cos i get so close to my dogs!

we have just found out our Boxer Jamie has the same as what Rocky had and needs to have his leg off. our problem is Jamie's age, he is almost 10 years and the thought of loosing him is tearing us apart. Should we agree to the operation or not, this is our delema. Watching Rocky after his operation is giving us so much hope.

@FlettNews Absolutely do it!! Rocky is 17 months a tripod and running a round like a mad man and cancer free!!! 10 is senior but will a few more good years definitely IF you do the surgery. It is well worth it. Are you in Los Angeles?? Does Jamie have chondrosarcoma in his knee??? it is not common at all! Keep me posted!! @lorinuzz Hi there, we have been so tied up with Jamie's visits to hospital and are still awaiting results of a third biopsie. We will decide after we get results.You ask if we are in Los Angeles which kind of made us smile, Jamie, his mum and I live in a little town in Scotland,UK. Just 15 miles north over the Forth road bridge, called Inverkeithing (is'nt it a small world). We do however have a daughter in law who is from and lives in LA. will e-mail you with pictures of Jamie.

This video moved me to tears, it's so awful when our pets get sick because we can't explain things to them and vice versa. He is such a gorgeous boy and I'm so glad he made a full recovery!

My Dog's Leg Was Been Cut Off Recently.. Just Yesterday.Cause It Got Ran Over.. But He Lost One Of His Hind Legs.. Left Hind Leg. Were You scared At First When Your Dog Lost His Leg? I'm Scared But My Dog Is a Shitzu.. And He's About 5 years Old. And Only Has One Eye, And Three Legs now.His Name Is Versace.. But.. Were You scared At First? Cause Right Now I'm Hella Scared And I want To know If This Is NORMAAAL! :(

@BraapVersace Of course I was scared!!! OMG! It was horrible. Rocky is 15 months cancer free and running around like a madman on those 3 legs. It'll be much easier for your little doggie. Don't worry!!! He will recover and forget he ever had 4 legs at all!!!!

I am so glad I saw this video. We just picked up our boxer today from having the same thing done. We know that he will be back to normal soon, but our hearts are still broken.
