The polarization of our body politic has given us stark examples of political posturing as opposed to true leadership and attention to the demands of defending our Constitution. I concur with Graham insofar as he is exercising wisdom and is respecting our founding document. I rarely agree with his political stances. He is a true hero of our Republic and has earned my respect. I hope his constituents will allow him to continue his fine representation of them as exemplified in this vote.
When I watched Sen. Graham's comments, live on TV, just prior to the nominating vote from the Judicial committee, I was profoundly struck be his gracious, civil, and courageous sentiments (courageous because he flatly bucked his own parties' rhetoric). In the span of these 15 minutes, he offered a model of what I believe our founders intended when they established our republic and what they had as the ideal for civil discourse. "Elections have consequences...." Well done, Senator Graham! Oh t
