Aha, I see. In Europe I haven't seen white turtledoves (yet). But furthermore, that these cute birds can be domesticated that way. I am a little bit jealous... :-)

yeah birds get hiccups, even cats xD i remember when my cat had hiccups but it strangely happens. btw if your bird doesnt have hiccups it yawns because maybe the room temperature is too hot and yawning is kinda like gasping for air =]
they do that its natural i see all birds do that like parrots yawn when they r scratch behind their ears its seems to be a reflex and birds yawn alot so its natural but where do u get doves O_o
I dont think he is yawning, did you feed it something too big? Looks as if something is stuck in the throat.. Doves dont hull their seeds, they eat it whole, be careful what you feed it...
Sometimes birds do this after preening to readjust their crop as they can sometimes get a bit of down stuck down their and in their throat. Kinda like when humans clear their throats. Its the same thing. They also do this sometimes after they wake up. Yawning isnt always a bad thing. But you're right it "can" mean disease or parasite. Most likely gapeworms. They live in the birds throat and cause irritaion.
She's adjusting her crop. Not hiccups or a yawn. Completely normal.

My doves do that when a certain pitch sound bothers their ears. Repeat the sound and you will see them repeat that action everytime.

It's amazing how something so small as a yawn can turn into something extremely cute if an animal does it.

Just because a bird yawns or sneezes doesn't mean it's sick! Birds are like us in many ways, it shouldn't be a surprise to see a bird yawn.
