  • great

  • These GPS usually have a step down transformer and a 2.5 volt fuse built into the cigarette lighter socket. If you stick it straight onto 12 volts you might blow the GPS. You wont have any fuse protection.

  • @chriskeenan1 I did use cigarette lighter socket, thank you for letting everyone know that.

  • never do that,,,,people.would break your windows

  • great send me more

  • Are you serious? Just lick the freaken suction cup and stick it to the window! DONE! Look I didn't even post a video. For retards, just mop up your drool with the suction cup and use your non-retard hand to stick it to the glass. DOUBLE DONE!

  • Hey I was just going to use my stock lighter so I took it away from the stock location and put it behind the center console.

Not the lighter has juice going to it all the time (Even in the off position with the keys out. Do you know why/what would cause it to do that? I don't want the GPS to drain my battery over night.

  • It is normal for lighter to have currant to it all the time.

  • Really?

How come on my other cars that I've had, when I turn off the ignition the cell phone, gps, etc that I have plugged into the lighter looses power as well?

  • I think on some vehicles they call it a power outlet.I could see them as having a switched source.

  • Niiiiicceee... I've been wanting to do this on my last 4 but have never found a write-up or video..

Thanks to you I have no excuses now! HAH.

  • can i wire the gps using the power wire going to head unit or car deck!? or can i use the power wire going to cigarette lighter.. they're the same 12v right!?

  • cool, (i like the U2 playin in the background)
