This is truly amazing stuff, but what i'm mainly worried about is how stiff and still it seems you have to be just for the XBOX to register what you're trying to say, or the gesture you're trying to make, like at 1:11 and 1:30 for example. It still doesn't seem like it's a seemless transition from relaxing on my couch or high-fiving my buddy then just effortlessly turning around and telling my XBOX what i want it to do, without having to worry whether or not i'm in it's sync zone.
Anyone who thinks MS built Bing just to compete with GOOGLE in web search is being super short sighted. Bing will power search across all their properties, from phone to xbox....Smart move, ingedient brand....oh, and yeah, their mobile app for the iPhone is best in class...I think that Win8 will be a VERY FAST follower to iPad in the Slate department also.

The major barrier to all of this is, saying "Xbox Big Batman" just feels freeking awkward. Other than wanting to drive Bing into the minds of the people who use the Xbox so that we start using Bing instead of Google or yahoo (or whatever) Microsoft wins a bit more in the internet search war. Except it doesn't change the fact that using the word bing when your really want to use the word search is terrible from the consumers standpoint.
The problem with xbox is that its closed (you can only do what MS approves of) and microsoft tries to milk the shit out their customers. This isn't the sort of platform I have any interest in. So unless this changes it wont be the living room of my future. ;)
Oh, and work on getting INTERNATIONAL partnerships for TV services. Not everyone lives in the US.... Whenever Microsoft has gone the US-only route, most of those projects failed miserably.
@Waethorn what ? Those services are ultra sucess worlwide on 360. Zune or Last FM are hits on Live, even FaceBook is used ALOT. Sky on UK and Canal+ on France are also huge sucess so stfu.
