  • i love the bill laswell mixes/versions/recreations.. whatever you want to call them.. they are brilliant. it needed to be done and he was the perfect person to do it and sonically the mixes are much better w/o losing anything that was there. i enjoy the hell out of what he did.

  • Bill has brass balls.

  • thanks

    bill laswell

  • Listen to Michael Tsarion on the youtube. he is the worlds premier conspiracy researcher/lecturer/author. Leo Zagami and dr. Bill Deagle are highly informative as well.

  • These mixes are from the album titled "Panthalassa". Laswell mixes from Miles' "On the Corner". As only Laswell can do. Brilliance!

  • Other than the seemless mix he added some subtle frequencies that I think the technology of the earlier 70's lacked. I personally don't feel its too obtrusive for what it portends to be, a mix album. Fortunately for purists the original historical recordings are available.

  • Laswell took decaying tapes, and respectfully, professionally made them clear and listenable, so miles fans can have more to hear !

  • Yes for fuck sake, this is an international site post it with subtitles at least! Laswell Rocks!!

  • take your bass and play

  • listening to aura by miles davis changed my life

  • i don't know i dig bill but you've got to have some big balls to take on miles stuff and remix it???.....bill's good but he ain't near miles

  • Did you listen to his mixes? He showed great restraint & still was able to something much greater than the sum of it's parts.

  • I beleive the original record was remixed by Teo Macero anyways. So Laswell was just doing what Macero did.

  • @wholetruthaboutabs No, it was produced by him with Miles in studio so they collaborated on the end result that is THE album as intended.

  • Thanks for that info. I didn't know Miles participated in that part.

  • MIles, Wayne Shorter, Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette,in session up front. Would have loved to hear Bill talking without the translation over it, subtitles would've been better. Is there such a version? Wherre the 1998 remixes? ARe they up on the web somewhere to hear/see?

  • Informative stuff from 1998. Always nice to hear about Miles!

  • great upload!
