Wow!! What an incredible video you made.. Fantastic, really. I dont have words to describe it in english.. Btw.. this interpretation of Idil Birret is very good..But for me the best interpretation I've ever listened (and believe me, I' heard a lot of versions from many pianist of chopin's berceuse) is one played by Wilhelm Kempff.
I liked so much this vid that Im going to share it in my FB.
@fetonegro thanks for tip i shall download that tonight when I get home from work.
so far I have Idil Biret, Peter Briener, Artur Rubinstien and Helene Grimund versions. I liked Biret for the light touch, much like the pianist they used in the movie (I couldn't find that rendition). Look forward to hearing Kempff's take on it. I wonder if Walter Geiseking has a version? I should check out as i dig his Debussy interpretations. Where are you from?
@fetonegro you're right, I really dig Kempff's interpretation, same tempo except it sounds slower, lol, cleaner too, especially in the places thick with notes. thank you.
I use this piece to fall asleep often. I have a playlist with it repeating three times, but hardly make it past the first time before I am snoring. BTW, the Peter Briener rendition I mentioned is scored for orchestra, interesting as well.
