  • Where can i buy a green screen like that :/

  • Is AVS Video Editor a good chromakey/editing software?

  • get the epicmealtime music off of their!!!

  • aaaaaaaaaaxaxaxa ghetto green screen !!!

  • Is iMovie 11' a good editing software for green screens?

  • Excellent video!

  • great tutorial man !

  • You rock dude! your tutorial is valuable for artista like myself. Keep it up.....

  • Q\ why should the background be a Green ? why not black or any color?

  • @assassin0alrass Two reasons: 1) chromakey green is farthest away from human skin tone so it gives a cleaner key and 2) digital video cameras are more sensitive to the color green which means it requires less light that any other color and catches more detail, which makes keying easier than a different colored background. However, really any color can be used, it just depends on your personal preference and how much time you want to spend in post production.

  • @assassin0alrass green is least likely for you to wear in clothing. it is more likely to have a black shirt than a green shirt 0.o

  • Is Sony Vegas Pro 11 a good green screen / video editing software?

  • @shoemakerleve9 Yes. It has chromakey capabilities, great audio editing and extensive tutorials for newcomers.

  • @tubetape Cool! Seems that I got the right software then! (:

  • I was wonderig if Pinnacle Studio was a good software to edit?

  • @AndreaGotSwag That's a great beginner software. It's pretty simple to use, and you can do basic editing, chromakey, and transitions. However, it won't contain any special effects generators and the sound editing is pretty limited. You are also limited in how many layers you can work with. If you are more intermediate to advanced, I would suggest looking at Sony Vegas or Adobe products.

  • my green screen came wrinkled out of the box im afraid to hang it because i don't know how it will effect it

  • Thanks for your help, loved the video!

  • @tubetape hey so I like to make comedy videos with my friends and i always am the one to edit them, i was wondering if vegas movie studio platinum 11 is good for these kind of effects as an amatuer, and i also i was wondering if you could check out some of my videos and give me your feedback.

  • @iHazTostitos Yes, sony vegas is a great editing software for PC. There is a learning curve to it, but they have great tutorials and tech support to answer any questions you may have. Good luck on your projects! : )

  • Dont get me wrong....I appreciate the tips in the vid but this dude makes some retarded faces...Not comfortable in front of the camera at all.

  • I hate to be the giant nerd but if I don't say it someone else will (or probably already has)

The Star Trek bit was cool but... sound effects and uniform from two different series... and the phaser effects look and sound like Star Wars blasters. :-P

Ok I got that off my chest. :-P

    <3

  • I need the suit but i garrintie u i will not find one hear

  • don't forget the Giant fan :D

  • Dear TubeTape, i just got a green screen yesterday and it was the one with just cloth and tape. I set it up with the tape you gave me. and for the lighting i used a light in video at 0:47 . And it casts shadows. And when i put my video's into iMovie, it won't let me put a backdrop behind it.

  • i jet got a green screen and i would like to know how you get a moving background using iMovie? i know how to do still but not moving please answer

  • I have that

  • Great video. Well done with lots of practical advise. My one critique would not to mumble when you talk. And you have a habit of dropping your voice at the end of your sentences.

    Other than that, great job.

    H.

  • The green screen of the girl looked good, but every other green screen in the video (of the guy) looked like crap. they all had a black border around them.

  • Engage the hyperdrive

  • pity your acting is so shit

  • what im confused about is how do you put the setting behind someone that is standing in front of a greenscreen? i understand you stand in front of it but then how do you get the setting behind them?

  • I made a tutorial on how to make one for $4 and it works really well, using premier pro cs5 and imovie. check it out watch?v=GiJ3USbEs9g

  • sorry i mean like having yourself on screen three times at once like you did.

  • please answer me i really need your help i love! making movies can you please show me how to have yourself on the screen at once like you have at the start and what website you need to have to do it and what computer you need please help me!

  • I have a question. I am ten and an AMEATUER! :) OBVIOUSLY ameauters do not use PROFESSIONAL STUDIOS or PROFESSIONAL lights. I am just getting a 14$ dollar set of a green screen book and free software. Anyway, I am not getting any professional things to HANG UP my green screen. How do I put up my greeen screen? And is it possible to still use it without the professional lights??? Someone please answer. Thanks. ;)

  • @TheFunluver101 Actually, it's pretty easy. You can tape it to your wall, or tack it to your wall. Either of those ways would work. And yes, you can use it without professional lights. The lights just help it look better, but they certainly are not required to use the green screen.

  • @tubetape Oh thank you for answering!!! that helped alot

  • @TheFunluver101- not sure where i was supposed to type my question??? just looking for some help with the gift i got my son. anyway...any suggestions??

  • @MommaAnnieMarie Um....What question....and what suggestion??

  • @TheFunluver101 No way so am i

  • @EvelioandZgroup Lol ok

  • @TheFunluver101 your best bet is just use regular lights on the side, front and back of u in a green wall/screen (doesnt matter if cheep or not) and u adobe after affects affects free trial that is 30 days.

  • @TheEaglesdude98 Ok, I got a green screen package so there is a link to free editing software :) So already got that covered ;)

  • @TheFunluver101 cool good luck :)

  • @TheFunluver101 dude where did u get a green screen for 14$ the cheapest i found is 35$ for real inform me please cuz i dont have alot of money to blow on shit like that

  • @TheAnonymous4575 Listen-I'm ten- And i don't want people saying s*** K?

Anyway, I got it in a package, Its called KLUTZ make your own music video. Online on KLUTZ.com its 16$ but I got it for 14$ in a school book order.

  • @TheFunluver101 , I am using some old table lamps on the floor and "chicken brooder" lights hung up higher. The chicken brooder lights are real cheap and I got them at Lowes.

I used tape to get my screen on the wall and once I had it positioned the way I wanted it, I added thumbtacks because I figured my tape may not hold forever.

  • @BIGBROTHERiswatchinU Thank you for letting me know. Other people have answered me and told me some tips. I got a real cheap green screen and the software is free, its JayCut and you have to upload the clip to the editing software and each clip 5 seconds takes maybe......5 minutes? It takes forever to do, and I only am doing pics, because it takes to long.... :)

  • Hey i'm doing a project for school about bullying and stuff and i wanted to make a video, i want a full body shot on some parts and close ups on others with still images. Any tips for a kid with no money for a quick school project? Also with the images how do i sequence them to pop up and leave when i need to, translating onto the next image?

  • @shadowblade499 If I understand you correctly, it sounds like you need some editing software - something like HitFilm or Final Cut or I-Movie, or something like that. That's the way you can control the sequence of the images in your movie. As for tips with no money: just prepare well and know what you want to shoot beforehand. That's always the best advice.

  • @tubetape Thanks very much, and it's not like i was unprepared it's just i had little notice and not time to prepare lol :P thanks tho, and are those editing programs like really expensive or free?

  • Hello , i have a chroma key greenscreen, and i was wondering if there was any software that allows me to use it online without any trouble

    example :

I have a little webshow with friends, is it possible to use the greenscreen live? and if so...with what software D:?

  • @siem2121 There's a software called Wirecast that will do live/streaming chromakey work.

  • @tubetape Hey, can you help me figure out how to get the green screen on the top pole. the hole on the green screen is too small and i cant take the pole apart or take the pieces off the end of the pole. what am i doing wrong.

  • @tubetape Thanks!

  • "as soon as I pop it out, you see it's nice and taut" =D

  • I find this easy to..... nvm. Oh! Hi Sarah.

  • hey (tubetape) im interested in using paint for my chromakey but where did u get that carpet from in the video? also if u were to walk from one wall to the other would the corner of the wall that you cross mess up because it would be darker in the corners???

  • Ha. Ghetto greenscreen.... teachers.

  • for most of us:

    lighting= desk lamp

green screen= green blanket or paper taped together

editing software= whatevers free -_- ya,... i think i will just pay a friend that knows what theyre doing to make my video

  • @flaminpineapples

    adobe after effects

  • What program can I use to green screen

  • @flaminpineapples wax 2.0 is usable and free great to start out with i heard but never got to have success because i don't have a decent green screen.

  • I'm at a crossroad here. I'm not really clear as to do a green screen set up with painting walls or to invest in different color backdrops. I will be wanting to do full body shots for infinite white and infinite black. What do you recommend for absolute best results for each color?

  • Sarah can make any green screen look good:)

  • tube tape sounds like a porn site

  • sarah has some nice lips

  • Nice work!!!!

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • you can get an anti glare those of you who wear glasses, I did!

  • I just noticed the other day that I can use a green screen in my room! THE WALLS ARE LIME GREEN! ahahaa

  • how much does this cost and were did u get this?

  • ummm i making a gheto green screen with poster board paper how i add efects like background

  • @MultiMasterjake You need computer editing software that can do chromakey editing, like HitFilm (if you're shooting video) or Photokey (if you're shooting still photos). Use the software to add the backgrounds over your green screen.

  • @tubetape okay ill try it out i got a free one but q: how do i put background over green screen with a picture camrea

  • @MultiMasterjake You can't do it with just a camera. You need to import it into a computer and use the editing software.

  • @tubetape oooookay

  • @tubetape um can ou tell meh how you made lt say subscribe thank you oh and please make a tutorial on how too get your own video's i the greenscreen l am doing a fall off building and land green mattress type thingy

  • @tubetape is there a software that does both videos and pictures??

  • ummm i making a gheto green screen with poster board paper how i add efects like background

  • 1:10 vs 4:09

  • I have a question, I want to use two green screens in one shot showing a different background on each screen, how can I do this in Sony Vegas if it is possible! Somebody please help me!!!!!!!!!!

  • @hanzmanz95 Just make sure each green screen is lit well, and that the subjects are lit separately, then you should be able to get the results you are looking for.

  • @tubetape yes, i can do that, i just want to know how to edit it in sony vegas. Like so two different clips play on two different chroma keyed objects at the same time

  • @hanzmanz95 You must use masking.

  • Great Video buddy, really good tutorial. I have FREE Green screen footage for download off my page, so why not have a look.

  • Can you test the suit?

  • Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial!!! Now my tutorials too can be fantastic!!! I'll upload my new Greenscreen videos as sono as possibile !!!

  • @TheEnricocover Thanks..Looking forward to it. You should enter our contest.

  • thanks a lot

  • i have the proffesinal green screen, the second green screen in the video, and i was wondering if i can put in the washing machine?

  • @MosesTV1 If your green screen is a Muslin greenscreen made of 100% Cotton (which is the only type that we offer) Then yes, it is machine washable.

  • Comment removed

  • where did u get the opening video

  • @PuneyGuney The shot of the flying ship is from iStock. The interior space station shots come from our virtual reality sets

  • @tubetape thanks pretty expensive for the video!!!! Almost £50!!!

  • @tubetape Where can I get Istock and for how much?

  • @AgentNickyPickles iStock is a website that offers royalty free images and short video clips for a small fee per item.

  • @tubetape Thanks.

  • hey how can i light my 6 foot by 12 foot green screen which is made with cotton if i don't have a lot of money to spend on lighting?

  • thank you so much, and I was wondering why my green screen is sucks ! lol

  • would natural light work well? like doing it on a sunny day outside?

  • @brightcarnage Using the sun can be a bit tricky. While it can supply a lot of light, it is very hard to control. Often times the light from the sun is too intense and will "blow out" your subject matter. If you are needing to shoot outside with all natural sunlight, try using something to hold up in between the sun and your subject to help diffuse the light. You can purchase different types of "diffusers" or, if you are on a tight budget, you may want to try using a silk sheet.

  • hiii can you help me! emergency.....

ok i used the green screen but i also have lots of surrounding objects in the shot too because i was told it doesn't matter, you can crop in post. I tried using a garbage matte in final cut pro and then opened it up in after effects CS5, performed the keylight effect - the green screen keyed out but the cropped areas remained black! so i have a chunky black border making the footage useless.

can you help me? (losing my mind and such right now.....)

  • @ericaxerographic Unfortunately, we do not offer technical support for software. You should try heading over to the support pages for Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects, they have a lot of information and may be able to help you with this problem

  • what do you mean by "ghetto"??

  • Hi :)

    Great video - helped heaps!!

I was just wondering do you know wear you can get videos that move so you can put in the background of the green screen? Like when the girl was standing in front of the beach and the trees were moving... well I want videos like that but I don't know wear to get them from so i can put them as the background on the greenscreen effect... if you could answer this question it would mean so much.

    Thank You!

  • could you give me the name of the music in the begining?

  • @iVideo411 It's ProScores from Video Copilot

  • For us "Amatures" we DONT HAVE PROFESIONAL STUDIOS!!!!!!!

  • @studioMAXIMO I do...lol

  • @Eight19Digital Then you arent an amature. -_-

  • thanks for this, now I just have to buy a new green screen, Lights, Soft boxes, the editing software, and of course a studio...can't I just paint the background?

  • Thanks

  • please answer this someone , how do you set the camera setting for green screen. i have hf100 and when i shoot in p mode the background changes when i change position in the frame, so it is impossible to key out, please give me some advise. It may look like that the auto exposure is adjusting or something, how do i set the correct settings???

  • is there any household light sources you can use for lighting if you dont want to pay for all of that?

  • @MattCMattN I use Portable Halogen Lamps. If you stick that into google you'll see what they are. usually under £10 but they do get hot.

  • I think Sarah looks great in front of any green screen. Just saying.. haha : )

  • In the background it's the epic meal time theme??

  • You are missing color correction

  • You never got rid of the edge sharpening in the initial "Demonstration shots" in the spaceship.

  • couldnt you use regular paint?

  • @itsnickyeah We suggest using TubeTape chromakey paint or Rosco chromakey paint simply because we have tested these two brands and know they will give a solid, professional key when applied correctly.

  • @tubetape what software should you use with the green screen?

  • What videos do you use for the backarounds?.. Can you put a download link of it in the desc?.. Or message me with it.

  • @tubetape

Can you please let me know what the light wattage is for the 5 individual lights?

    1 Greenscreen wattage?

    2. Key/Fill/Hair Light wattages?

    Thank you

  • What software do you use?

  • great vid thanks (:

  • I used the front cover of a book for a screen in my video, check it out!

  • I enjoyed masterbating to this

  • which do you think is more reliable the actual green screen or chroma key paint??

    please respond!!

    Thanks

  • Is the screen and software the only absolutely necessary parts needed?

I have no idea about this stuff so please bear with me i don't know what going on can someone explain further what i'd need to photograph this?

  • @1MSoViP You need the screen to provide you a chromakey background. You will need the software to actually key out that background so you can place your own digital backgrounds behind your subject. You can either purchase digital backgrounds, or go out with your camera and take your own. The only other thing you need is to light your background and subject evenly. You can use normal house lights (but you will need A LOT of them) or you can purchase at least a two light (preferably 3 light) setup

  • ok so i want a green screen superbad but i dont want to pay over $100 on a few lights and a sheet, any sugestions because right now i have the thing that the girl had in the beginning. And 1 other thing...how do you get to put backgrounds in replace for the green screen?

  • omg i just got like 25 seconds in the video and this really helped me im waiting for the video to load because my computer is really slow and i am going to watch the whole thing and so far...GREAT job explaining things!!!

  • i cant believe i was about to get a paper backround xD

  • i really needed this :D

  • did you use compositelab pro to make this, because when I finnish, there's no sound

  • where would you buy a real green screen or are those real?

  • the girl is HOT!!

  • Thanks for your green screen tips!

I would like to make green screen videos to upload to youtube. I have not purchased a camera yet.

Will a cheep HD video camera do the job with good enough quality for youtube videos? Ebay has some from China for about $75.00.

Or would a Droid X cell phone shoot video with enough quality for green screen on youtube?

  • Thanks dude this is a bad ass how to continue success!!!

  • Can you suggest a free software to add in backgrounds?

  • im using wax 2.0 and i have my green screen up and took a video infront of it but i dont know how to make the sound work. do you know how? Please help, thanks!!!

  • What kind of software is used to input backrounds? and what kind of software is used to generally manage a green screen?

    Please reply!

    Thank You!

  • @teamandrew232 There are different kinds of chromakey software depending on if you are doing photography or video. You can check out our site for details on the specific products. There are also videos that show how it's used.

  • @teamandrew232 que pena que esta en ingles

  • your so hot..I love all those multiples you hehe :P

  • are they washable?

  • Sarahs cute! :)

  • You seem kind of uncomfortable.

  • would a green table cloth work fine? or maybe some green fabric from walmart? since we are just beginners on this green screen suff?

  • @RandomComedySketches We recommend only using cloth that is true chromakey green so that you won't encounter problems in the keying process. Also, some fabric may reflect too much light back onto your subject and could cause a green halo effect which is near impossible to key out. Or other fabric could let too much light through which is also a problem. We have 100% muslin true chromakey screens available starting at 19.95. Great buy for beginners.

  • @tubetape oh, that sounds affordable. we will look into buying that maybe.

  • @tubetape what kinfd of cloth? i have felt

  • @RandomComedySketches Yes that would work fine, even a cheap green bed sheet from a thrift store! Tubby is just trying to get you to waste your money at his site!! Experiment with some cheap fabrics and stuff first before you spend any real cash, you would be surprised what you will find dirt cheap!

  • @RandomComedySketches dont listen to him, he just wants to make a sale.....go to walmart and buy lime green poster board....they are .99 cents each and depending on how big you need, work fine for green screen and costs about 6 bucks

  • go to walmart buy some green fabric, for 20 dollars. it works just he same.

  • dude thats so badass! i want a green screen!

  • how did u get that background like star track.

  • where would u get the green screen..? this is a really good video, but where would u get a green screen like that?

  • it looks like u r standing infront of a green screen when you show the "your" professional studio

  • Great Tips, especially the lighting.

  • Last comment ;))))

  • AMAZING video!! really spells it all out, super super helpful, thank you so much!!
