  • doorbell of death

  • @itzjesusbxtch

LOL! Probably just the mechanic oscillation of the coil when he hits it with the screwdriver. The flame is almost noiseless.

  • Wow, I had always assumed that creating a plasma flare in an atmosphere was hard and here it is by accident.

    Fusion reactor here we come!

  • your right apart from fusion reactor still a long way to go :D

  • @HackandSlack

That has nothing to do with a fusionreactor! Plasma is ionized gas. To fusionate plasma, you will need a temperature of maybe 100 million degrees. The plasma in the video perhaps has 10000 degrees. That's a huge difference!!!

  • this is quite amazing. i never knew atmospheric plasma was so easy to create and sustain.

  • Hát ez érdekes! hmmm

  • Umm i thought that plasma is the only energy source that can not be made on earth because it is so powerful as in the sun is made of plasma?

  • Plasma is not a source of energy. See the "Plasma (physics)" article in Wikipedia.

  • @eu3eu Lol you do realize wikipedia is like 85% of it is fake, its been proven most of it is fake :D

  • @LaughingVeryQuietly I don't think so mate.

  • @LaughingVeryQuietly

What else do you recommend then?

  • @LaughingVeryQuietly Wikipedia is just as likely to be fake as the source you got that information from is. Not to say, though, that some articles on wikipedia aren't quite correct, but I'm sure it's not 85%.

  • Thats just really stupid to say.. The sun is made out of plasma? please.. Just.. please.. read a 3rd graders text book because the sun is NOT most definatley NOT made of plasma.. And it makes me really really really angry that people can be that stupid.

  • made out of gasses right?

  • made out of molten rock.

  • please searche wikipedia ;(

  • OH lol yeah.. its made out of gasses.. i knew that i said molten rock because i was looking at volcanoes and i thought this was volcanoe.. Yeah, it is made out of gasses.. for a second i thought you said glasses.. i'm like wtf.

  • XD lol

  • and superheated gasses are:

    PLASMA

  • @TopsyKritz let me put it in ur terms. plasma its just hot gas have u ever seen a lighting??? wen u heat gas to a certain level it will start to *light up* and its not an energy sourceits just a rly good conductor

  • @TopsyKritz You're talking about fussion, fusing hydrogen atoms and releasing energy in doing so. Hydrogen is a gas, as everyone else on here has said, super heated gas is plasma. So i guess you're not wrong about the sun, though i'm not sureif you can actually call i plasma.

  • all you did was put a lighter behind it

  • What for? Read about corona discharge.

  • huh? how does this work?

  • oh ok it was paint brush ;)) lol

  • is the high frequency voltage igniting the tip of the rod a bit like an arc welding rod? and the residue is then burned away? what is the rod made of?

  • 1. It's not the same as welding. You see, there is no second electrode. Instead, the high frequency current flows in ionised air along the surrounding electromagnetic field paths.

    2. A screwdriver made of steel, you see.

  • yes I see, interesting! thanks

  • i see to , interesting

  • I think it works like a very high frequency Tesla coil

  • yah it looks like more than 7mhz and does look like a tesla coil

  • Interesting. Now, how can we convert this into a Jet Engine? :D

  • i like the way you think.

There is a rocket engine named "VASIMR" that is along this line of thought.

  • XD not even close

All you need is a 12Mhz Teslacoil for a stable flame. Stable as long as you feed it...

  • wow i dont see how it putting so much current into the air

  • capacitive coupling

  • hey i wonder if ur close to making ball lightning!!! i know tesla use to make it appear out of thin air. anyways thats sick

  • Very interesting - this would be ionized games from the coil? I know high voltages through thin wires can produce ozone or plasma.
