  • Sadly the USAR Pro Cup Series is a shadow of what the old Busch Series used to be

  • I miss the the v6 engines. If they still ran them, they would put the vuvuzuela to shame.

  • this was REAL NASCAR racing!

  • nascar needs to come back there

  • This was when NASCAR was REAL racing. The old Busch Series at Hickory,South Boston.and all those great short tracks.Sam Ard,Jack Ingram, those guys were the real deal.

  • I miss seeing races at tracks like this too. Seems like now the East and West Series are racing like this. As is Hooters Pro Cup too. The Nationwide Series is turning into the Cup Lite Series.

  • I love Hickory. I wish they still raced there.

  • If this race took place today, the drivers wouldn't be able to turn 3 consecutive laps without a caution.

  • I wish the Nationwide (Former Busch) Series could go back to V6 engines and race majorily on the short tracks with a few mile tracks, superspeedways and the occasional road course mixed in.

  • that or bring back ASA

  • Also, use a slightly different version of the COT to distinguish itself from the current Sprint Cup car. If that dosen't work as you stated, ASA could be revived.

  • love old school busch racing. and those v6's were really pleasant to hear.

  • Nice to see the Busch Series at this time before it became Cup Lite

    V6s, 3/8 mile tracks, etc.

  • I miss those days when the Busch Series at those type of tracks.

  • I agree with you. These tracks are the "starter" "pure" racing tracks that bring up stars. Unlike "artificial" tracks from large corporations and frivilous buyouts. :(
