It's horrible that the only people to authorize an adoption of a child are the parents who abandoned them!! How is that right??

What John did was truly amazing and heroic! Not many people would do something like this to save the children that nobody wants, but thank God John was one of those people!

Did you notice that when the children got to their new homes and were take care or and nurtured and loved they didn't look like they were sick at all! They were neglected on every level and abused:(

The irresponsible and arrogant way in which Upton managed this entire affair is shocking. Bursting into orphanages and making promises to extremely vulnerable children without planning or preparation, emotional or legal. We have to wonder about all the children left behind, who had their hopes raised and dashed completely unneccessarily.

Basic human necessity (such as food, shelter, medicine, HUMAN CONTACT) should always override any policies or government. Because a particular country or government says "no, nobody else is allowed inside our country...." does not take priority over this kind of abuse.

Treating children/people like street dogs (worse than that) like this must always come before any "policy" or government.

We should all be ashamed, as a species, that this is happening right now as we speak (or type)

How is this any different from the Holocaust? Instead of 1930s/1940s, this is 2011. Instead of Auschwitz or other concentration camps in Poland/Germany, it is orphanages in Romania. Instead of targeting Jewish people, babies and children are the target. Different year, different country, different population.

ONly the stage and players are different. Everything else about this is like the Holocaust.

Why the hell doesn't the UN make themselves usefull and go and get those kids? Screw the Romanian laws they don't give a damn Even if they can't all come to America I'm sure there are plenty of other countries that will take some. Even if they end up in real orphanages they would be better off. This is just heart breaking.

That was amazing , I have tears on my eyes. John Upton is such a soft hearted man. Everytime I saw the videos of the children of Romania being feed horrible food and left naked infront of eachover it was heart bracking . I am so happy for what they done ..Thankyou for all this has really opened my eyes and now i really appreicat waht i have. Godbless these beautiful children this will always stay in my heart and so will John Upton.
