  • Hey jewellia, can you tell me the measurements of the box? Like height and width? I would be very happy if you can tell me that. :)

  • @MrLaurensas i dunno cos i dont have it anymore. i'm just gonna estimate 30cm by 15cm but i suck at estimating so it might not even be right lol

  • @jewellia7777 Yeah, that's right about the dimensions i thought it was :D. And one more question. How much levels is on the box base thats is inverted (the one that starts with 4 pcs) At first, I counted 15 lvls, then 17, then 12. So how much that is correctly? Pls, answer quickly because i need to do it before christmas (you know, presents and stuff) and i only started the 21st piece of 1630 pieces of hot pink. I did the rest, but i am a pretty slow folder lol. Ok, so i think thats all for now.

  • i'm sorry but are there any other tutorials? i'm not realy good at diagrams. T_T

  • @hakuren10 no sorry, I havent had time to make a tutorial on a model this big. I want to, but havent gotten around to it so I dunno when I can ever make it

  • great tutorial! but i got a problem.. the insertet pieces push the base apart ..when i increase to 32 the base seperates from the other rows and falls out... can you help me? i dont know what im doing wrong..

  • @InOblivion thanks, yeah the inserts are annoying. I think I mentioned somewhere in the tutorial to glue the inverted base (sorry if I didint >.<). you just have to glue the base cos the inserts will always make things slip off. nothing else you can do other than glue it. and you have to curve the base and glue the pieces in the angle it curves, cos I forgot that and it was all flat and I couldnt mould it when the glue dried.

  • @InOblivion (comment 2) oh and if its too much trouble to do the closed base you can always just start from the row of 64, build from there, put inverted pieces at the bottom and glue cardboard to the bottom

  • @jewellia7777 thank you for the quick help :)

  • i gona try to make a video with paint thanks

  • thanks thanks thanks how did you made this video with all the pictures did you have draw it by your self? have a nice day

  • @lutherraars yeah i drew them myself on paint

  • Thanks so much for the tutorials... just one question for this one, the pieces look bigger than the 1/32 rectangles of A2 paper sheet... can you please tell me the apropriate size to use so I can have a big bowl? thanks

  • so now you tell me all of what iv done is meant to be inverted urgggg

  • what do the dots on the diagram mean, because it shows the pattern does 6 or 7 dots then carrys on???

  • @origamiqueen19 yes it means carries on. just like when you write words like "1,2,3......40". because i cant fit 64 pieces on the page, and the pattern is the same all throughout the middle, i dont need to draw them all and instead just put ...... so the sides in the diagram look like that, and the middle is all the same too

  • @jewellia7777 oh yer thanks xxx its just because i didnt see the numbers of how many on each row there are!!! sorry :)

  • Thanks for sharing all these tutorials. Could you please make a tutorial of jewelry box? ...these diagrams are little bit confusing

  • could you please tell me what colour i could use instead of hot pink because i have pure run out and i dont really have any sorts of pink anymore please help!!!!

  • @origamiqueen19 any colour you like like light blue or light green or whatever you think looks good

  • @jewellia7777 ok thank you :P ill use whatever i have the most of lol

  • I'm srry...im a bit confised by what ur supposed to do after the tenth row :S ....could some one please explain it to me in a bit more detail? thank you.

  • Who else shuddered at the thought of making over 1000 peices

  • thank you for such a quick responce ;)

  • and also what do the dots mean on some of the diagrams because it does the pattern then has 5 or 6 dots and carrys on with the pattern?

  • @jewellia7777 Thanks so much for the clear response. I'll be able to make the box now. Thanks!!!

  • do you know when your increasing pieces (adding more) does that mean the extra pieces wont be inserted on another triangle if you know what i mean, like so the pockets to the extra triangle wont be inserted into another triangle if that makes sence

  • @origamiqueen19 yes, the pockets are empty and not inserted into anything, just wedged in between pieces

  • @jewellia7777 I've got a few questions to ask you. Please answer.

1.Do you have to glue the base( the first four pieces) to make the entire base stay? because mine keeps falling off

2.whats the difference between a quilling and inverted base?

3.where do you buy your paper to make the triangular pieces?

    4. and for the ring to glue to the bottom of the finished box, exactly how many pieces of pink and white pieces are there?

    Thanks!!!

  • @lilboijt yes you have to glue the whole inverted base (once you get to the 64 pink, you dont need to glue that) the base has inserts which pop out and the whole base thing is slippery. look up quilling, its coiling strips of paper into a spiral thing. I planned to do that to cover the bottom to save time making base but it took to long and I didnt end up making it. I buy paper from the stationery shop, its a common item here in NZ

  • @lilboijt (part 2 of comment) and sorry I dunno how many pcs in the bottom ring. it should have some kinda instruction in the vid of how many pink pieces to count on the side or something, that should be the amount of white pieces, and you just double the amount of pink since its 1 on each side. I dont have the model anymore so I dunno how many pcs in the ring

  • im confused???

  • umm can u make a regular vid coz this iz complicated

  • can you make one with 600 triangles the most PLEASE i beg you respond

  • There is no way I can make the first 64 pcs (white, green) to stay. The whole chunk just come right off. This is the inverting part. Even if I tried not to invert, still it won't stay. Any tip?

  • @85581514666 the whole first inverted base bit should all be glued since the inserts make it pop out all the time

  • @jewellia7777 Thank you for the tip. That makes sense. But your other video "pastel jewellery box colour combo idea " showed the bottom can be pushed out. It's not glued?

  • @85581514666 no thats different. I wanted to make it without a base and make the base with quilling or some faster way so I dont have to glue the pieces. but I couldnt make an alternative base that looked good, so just made the base after and tried to put it in, but yeah, you have to make the base 1st before the bowl. you cant make it separate and put it in like I did, it wont stay in

  • @jewellia7777

Thanks a lot for your clarification. I managed to make the base without glue. I guess I really need to glue the 11th row to the base or make the side separate and see what happens.

    Again, thank you.

  • @85581514666 dont make the side separate to the base, or you wont be able to attach them, then when you've made it all and cant find a way to attach it, you wont feel like taking it apart cos you already used so many pieces and it like damn... what do I do with this... lol thats why i just left my base in the bowl but it could easily come off. eventually I just took it all apart

  • @jewellia7777 Thanks for the advice.

  • @jewellia7777 how many A4 sheet is 1630?

  • for the inserting part on the lid, do you add an insert on every other slot or for all of them?

  • @Bunnyhophop5 no, just on 1 row, to make 24 pieces turn into 48 pieces. then the rest is just normal cos they're all rows of 48

  • Hi what do you mean by the first 10 rows should be inverted? I've made till the 11th row and it doesn't look like it will turn out to be curving upwards from the 10th row.

the first 10 rows make the base?

  • @tinyonion inverted like any other inverted piece, the piece is turned around so the straight side is facing you. so just do it normally, when you finish the base, turn it so the straight side is facing out, bumpy side facing in. next row the bumpy side is facing out. you will have to glue the base cos the inserts make pieces pop out, and maybe glue the 11th row on a slant to make it start curving. yeah it wont curve by the 11th row cos you havnt really started yet. the 10 rows are a flat base

  • hey.. hope you're well..

thankyou for the tutorial. i just finished mine.. but I've a few questions.

    1. mine doesn't look oval like your or jaxter's model. its more like a barrel. How to adjust the shape?.

    2. can you teach us the trim like the one in jaxter's vid coz it gives a more finished/neat look..

on another note.. i think it took me a lot more than the specified number of pieces specially the white and the yellow..

  • @tahy86 1. you push your fingers against the inside to push it out and make it more round, and i guess you would push down the tips around the top to get it to be more oval rather than like a barrel

    2. I dunno how to make the yellow rim on the bowl like jaxsters if thats what you meant. its not 3d origami. he said its like some kinda weaving.

    3. yeah, since I counted the pieces, all the # of pieces for any models arent always accurate

  • @tahy86 if you want it to be like jaxsters you must use the puff fold

  • jewellia7777,

How do I add a video response? I finished mine and i wanna share it with you! :)

  • @iluvlife555 somewhere in the middle of the list of comments, there are vid responses, and a box that says respond to this video. click that and it takes you to a page to choose a vid

  • @iluvlife555 oh wait, actually beside the box on the right side it says attach a video, click that

  • man this is so pretty

i think i need to make one more b4 this one lol

  • can it be like a pumpkin for halloween???using orange and black....and make small ones too??? ^_^

  • @arceyus100 yeah ofcourse! good idea^^ you could even make eyes and a mouth with black pieces instead of doing the spot pattern

  • u know at 2:28 the picture, can u make a tutorial on the model on the left?

    thanx :)

  • hey is it really big cause i was wondering if like split it in half and if it would still work? let me know please.

  • jewellia, i think u did a mistake in the diagram at 1:46, because in the box it says 24 but in the pic in says 28? so is it meant to be 24 or 28?

  • @VinitheVcubeVIP the one in the box is right, 24, cos 24 doubles to 48

  • @jewellia7777 thanks

  • @jewellia7777 err how many pieces of paper is 1630? nad wuts a good neon color variation im using this to keep my pieces in :D

  • @unnessasarylongname each pagegives 32 pieces. so you just divide by 32 which is 50.93, so it'd be 51 pages. and I think just the same colours in neon would be good, neon pink, yellow and blue, or just whatever you think looks good^^

  • in 1.42 how do u connect the ring to the next part which is 1.48

  • @TheBetBop at 1.48 is the lid, and the ring isnt connected to that. The bottom rim is glued on with hot glue to the bowl you start off with. At 1.48 you make the lid (which is separate to the bowl and lies on top of it so you can take it off/put it on) you start off with a base 24 (the left side box is correct, 24 not 28 as written on the bottom part) and double to 48. then the top part of the lid is made separately, the smaller part, and glued onto the lid

  • for1.42 wat colour is it, is it red

  • @TheBetBop its pink

  • Hey me again lol :)

question: on 1:45; the lower level is 28 but then it goes to 48? What happened at that point? Do you start at 24 for the lid and make your way to 48?

  • @iluvlife555 sorry about the error on that, someone pointed it out to me that it says 28 on the bottom and 24 on the left box. the left box is right. yes you start the lid at 24, then look at the dotted line on 1.45, there are green inserts on the next row (after watching that bit I sorta didnt get it either, i cant believe I didnt write in words to add green inserts, sorry. but yeah, the green inserts double it from 24 to 48)

  • plz jewellia make tutoriall plzz be cause i don't read

  • Okay, I'm SO lost! How do you increase from 32 to 64? I dont understand how you increase because when I do, the layers get tighter and it doesnt look like the one in your pic. What am I doing wrong? Can you help me to understand how to increas the layers please? Thank you!!

  • @iluvlife555 pause at 0.16 in the vid. it shows u how to increase. have you increased from 4 to 8? then 4 to 16, and 16 to 32? if u have, its the same as 32 to 64. you just insert a piece in between the normal pieces that are slotted on. the inserts are just wedged in between, they're not connected to anything. so if you have 32 pieces, and u jam in an extra piece inbetween each one, you'll then have 64 pieces. then on the next row, u slot pieces over every piece on the row under it.

  • @iluvlife555 (comment part 2, read comment underneath it 1st) then the pieces will be connected (since the top row is slotted over the row underneathe which had the extra pieces jammed in between). do u have a photo of ur 3d origami? u could take a pic of where u'v increased and i can see if its right or not. its supposed to get tighter, since theres pieces jammed in between, but once u add the row after it, it'll be normal and bigger. hope that helps ^_^

  • @jewellia7777 I got it now! :D thank you! I'm almost done making it.

  • Comment removed

  • can I send you cash?for the sticks?

  • Ill try to make the mini one u made! (update - recent handicraft project ) soo i think that at the row where u put 32 u stop increasing... i dont know if it will work...

or can u say me how mcuh row and how much pieces in each row? maybe ill make a tutorial ... Thank you!

  • @xkirasaki much *

  • @xkirasaki yes u make the base up to 32, then the whole bow is 32 in each row. it looks ok but when u make the topmost lid its kinda too big and its hard to make smaller, unless u use even smaller pieces. i mite try make a better smaller jewellery box, maybe i'd be bigger than 32, or mybe the upper lid will just be made of smaller pieces

  • @jewellia7777 thanks for the information again! ill try to make it

  • Since I don't have enough paper for it, would it still result in the same shape if I cut the materials in half? Like, instead of the 1630 hot pink (...yikes. When am I going to get THAT done? LOL) I use 815? 56 light pink -> 28, etc?

  • @windymelody yeah u can make a smaller one, u'll have to modify the pattern, like u'll have half the amount of spots and stuff, and i dunno how many pieces exactly it would take, it might not be exaclty half the amount of this. so just make half the amount of triangles and try build it smaller and make it up from there

  • oooo i wish i had the patience ^^

  • @jewelia7777 I'm getting a camera in a few days so I'll show it to you then. I only had pastel colors so it's not as bright as yours.

  • @Almondandlime ok kool, cant wait to c it!

  • Hey, I just finished it, and it is such a pretty model! Thanks! Btw, the count of a lot of the colors is off (like there is way more than 80 yellows) but I guess you can't really fix that.

  • @Almondandlime you're welcome, thanks 4 telling me, maybe i only counted it for the bowl and not the other parts. do u hav a vid or pic of ur jewellerybox? i'd luv 2 c it, yeah its a really pretty model ^^

  • Hello, Jewella7777 thank you very much for diagram on this, You rock~~ did You figure out by looking at Jaxters vid? if You did, that is incredible!! anyway, bless Your heart!!

  • @KOREANLADYSF thanks! you're welcome, I'm glad I got around to doing this since its such a pretty model. yeah I figured it out by lookn at jaxsters vid

  • where do you buy the color paper

    ?

  • @powertyuiop from $2 shops, supermarkets in the stationery sections, anywhere you find office supplies like school books, post it notes, paper clips and stuff, its a common office supply item that usually comes in a pad of colours

  • @jewellia7777 oh ok thnx you

  • What song is this ? xD sounds so cute

  • @xrawribitex the song is sorry by wang zi. its an instrumental off the brown sugar chivalries soundtrack

  • you're brilliant, can't wait to start. I love your title slide tutorials.

  • @phuunggdiary thanks ^^

  • has any1 ever made this?i hope some1 can make a tutorial!

  • That is really cool i cant wait to get started .

  • I dont get the inverted part, what is it for ezactly??

  • @tropicsunshine its the bottom bit of the bowl, it curves inwards on jaxsters vid and its inverted, watch his vid of his origami collection and you'll see the bottom of his jewellery box is all inverted

  • Im on the bit when you invert.....this is going to take a LONG TIME. I so far have taken about 4 days!!

  • oh sorry i didnt read d side bar if u dont ave time its okay.:(

  • can you plz plz plz make a tutorial 4 dis video?!?! plz plz plz

i really wanna make this but its hard so can u make a easy tutorial?

    thanks

  • @shinagamigolden you're welcome, thanks! ^_^

  • i know that it takes a long time to make and edit the vids but its still easier if you show parts of you doing it yourself like all the other vids..... and i know this is a especially bigger model

  • @thdrjsdnBRB yeah i know its easier with demos, though I wont do it tho, since I dont have time anymore, I'll probly do a real vid when im like 25 or something, when I have loads of time. But all my new tutorials (if any) will be title slide tutorials

  • how do you increase ?

  • @ajonia12 did you watch the vid? it says at 0.17. look at the diagram on the bottom right, you add in an extra piece and then put pieces over it

  • thank you thank you thank you!!

  • Hey Jewelia, I have a question, how do you decrease? Do you just stick the triangle over 2 whole spots, or what?

  • @Almondandlime yeah, 1 triangle slots onto 3 points, it slots over 2 points on 1 piece, and 1 point on the 2nd piece, so it slots over 1 whole piece, and then half the other piece, rather than just half of each of the 2 pieces. that makes the points get covered faster/ makes less points and less pieces, so when you slot over again on the next row theres less pieces. but theres no decreasing on this jewellery box, only increasing

  • this is really nice!

  • ur the coolest

  • on 1:53 did u mean to put 24? and thanks for the vid i liked it very much

  • @SuperSkipper23 oh yeah its meant to be 24, the numbers in the top left box is right :-)

  • Hey Jewellia, have u seen jaxter's origami vids? Do u know how/ could u please do a tutorial on how to make the heads of the animals so round? Thanks!

  • @SpanishCrackaPino the way I do mine is just make the head separate and glue it on the body. the way jaxster does his heads is making an inverted row and then continuing the head. I cant do that and make the head round because my hand cant fit in there and mould it into a sphere becausemy fingers will get poked by the points, so I just make the head separate and its easier to make round

  • can you tell me the name of the song? it sounds so familiar.

  • @cooljl instrumental of sorry from wangzi from the drama brown sugar macchiatto, i think the band hes in is called bang tang tang or sumthn but i think this 1 is just a song from just him. but this instrumental is from brown sugar chivalries

  • btw i finished the dinosaur :)

its not as good as yours and i basically guessed on increasing and decreasing

but i think it came out ok XD

  • @Empress1010 kool, do u have a pic of it? btw, theres no inreasing, its just decreasing at the top to close the hole, and the head has more pieces than the body but i just made it separate and glued it on

  • oh!~ thank for u!~
