This looks like a good film BUT...why do they have to cast celebrity voices in the KIDS roles? The guy who does the voice of the boy is 24 for Pete's Sake! He's already been through high school THREE TIMES! (Or at least done three lousy musicals about high school.) So the kid sounds like a 24-year-old instead of a 12-year old!

Why is everyone hating on the love story element of movies like this? :( The innocence and simplicity of animated romance always makes it ten times better live action romance. I've been craving some good animated romance lately :) this looks cute.

On the other hand, I know nothing about this particullar Dr. Seuss tale, and do not have the same childhood attatchment to The Lorax that most of you do. So I guess I can understand why it would be a dissappointment.

even though it looks funny i don't wanna watch it because it's gonna focus on a love interest instead of the real plot :( To all who actually want to see this, i don't know why you'd want to (maybe it's because you're the new generation? [i'm a late 90's child who loves the 90's :3]) But i recommend watching the older version of The Lorax before watching this because it holds a special place in everyone's heart.

Where are Dr. Seuss's rhymes? LIke Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland- the scenery is wonderful BUT THEY LEFT THE RHYMES AND THE LINGO OUT OF THE STORY! I think Lewis Carroll wrote Alice in Wonderland with the Jaberwockies in mind. Dr. Seuss wrote these stories with the rhymes in mind. This is like making a rap video without any of the rhyme or rhythm.

Hmmm, I read the book as a child, but I remember it having a bit of a dark tone, and focussed a lot on the protagonist making clothing from the trees. This trailer doesn't feel like the book.

I know it's not a perfect adaption, but it looks like an amazing story, nonetheless. It mixes in elements of dreams, heroism, and love to the theme of nature preservation. And needless to say, Universal still produces fantastic CGI film, and this marks another wonderful 3D rendition of the worlds of Dr. Seuss's imagination. Another job well done, Universal. I hope to work with a group of animators like you someday.

I'm really excited about this. I want to know how they can change the story and still maintain the social commentary. The overall message from the original story of The Lorax is poignant and ever-present. And now, more than ever, -especially with impending doom on our heels- we need a movie like this to open peoples eyes to all the problems they're causing for no real reason. Really all I hope is that they maintain the integrity of the original message. Otherwise it wouldn't be "The Lorax"
